My girlfriend and myself are just back from this hotel, Please let me say, we have never complained before regarding a holiday. this hotel, is very dirty, unfriendly, your rooms, towels, bed sheets are never cleaned, we were there for 8 days before they changed them, owing to us requesting this. They advertise a gym , which there is not, there is a broken machine that's sits outside, tennis court is a laugh, the holistic room, is terrible for treatments, trust me , I'm a sports physio, the health and safety should close it down. The biggest disgusting thing that we both had to witness was another family checking out of this hotel. They were complaining about conditions and services of this establishment, when things got unprofessional, the situation got heated, and then to our astonishment four of the hotel staff attacked the male guest of the family, beating, kicking him to the floor, blood everywhere, his wife , children screaming. Never seen such a thing. SO BE WARNED!

I have just returned from a 2 week...

Aug 2006, Miss S McMillan

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Pamay Apartments in Kusadasi with my 3 friends. It was a brilliant 2 weeks!! On arrival the reception staff were really helpful and the security guard kindly took our suitcases to our room for us. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only thing I would say is that the maid sometimes didn't clean our bathroom and often forgot to give us clean hand towels.
Air conditioning is an optional extra and it cost us 42 YTL for 2 weeks which is very reasonable. Also you can pay extra for a safe box. Pamay is situated on a hill so we had a wonderful view of the marina and the centre of Kusadasi to our left and the endless sea! It was a really gorgeous view, especially at night.
Our room overlooked the pool and pool bar where the staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Serdar and Sherin-we miss them!! There was often live music at night by the poolside which was really good. At the bar, water costs 1 Lira and Ice Tea 2.50. The food was also really good value, try the Toasties for only 4 Lira! Yum!
Also you can get ice-creams from the pool-bar which are nicer than ones at home!
The pool didn't have many sun beds and to guarantee yourself one, you need to get up early and put your towels on them!! Kusadasi centre is a 5 minute dolmus ride away and only cost 1 Lira. You can catch a Dolmus from right outside Pamay and they are really regular.
Also, many of the restaurants in town offer a free taxi service from your hotel to their restaurant which was really helpful. Murphy's is a really good place to go. There is a range of food on the menu and lots of cocktails to choose from which are cheaper than bar street and all the staff are really lovely, particularly Abraham, Jimmy and Billy! Billy is really cheeky!
Murphy's also has Turkish night every Thursday and it gets really busy so book early! Rigolo is one of the best restaurants, really classy and they serve delicious food which is also cheap! We ate there 3 times! If you want something a bit livelier, then try Redwood or Mayflower which are two restaurants next to each other and the waiters get up and dance which is entertaining and funny!
If you like going to the beach then don't bother going to Ladies Beach. It was too busy and the sun beds are packed together like sardines. Go to Diamond Beach! It is the nicest and most ancient beach in Kusadasi. To get there, get a Dolmus from the Dolmus depot in the centre of town.
It only cost 2 Lira each and sun beds are 5 Lira all day. There is a cafe and they have cute pet ducks! They call you a dolmus to take you back to the centre when you want to leave too! They are all so kind and helpful. Bar street is ok for young people but it was annoying getting hassled all the time! There are lots of shops selling bags, jewellery and clothes.
Kusadasi is a fantastic location if you want to go on day trips to the surrounding attractions. We went to Pamukkale which means Cotton Castle. I would recommend anyone to visit because it is spectacular! You must have a Turkish bath at the beginning of your holiday as well. Apparently it gets rid of all the dirt on your skin and makes your tan last longer!
Overall, we had a fantastic time in Kusadasi and Pamay is a lovely apartment! I am going back in October!
