Just come back after two wonderfull weeks with friends, the hotel is not five star may be four, but the staff were definatly five star plus couldnt do enough for you. the rooms were verry clean fresh towels every day.The food was verry good plenty of choice for every one.concidering it is a verry multie cultcherol hotel. The only thing i will say it didnt have a comfertable bar area to sit patio chairs that were not verry comfertable and not enough entertainment in the evening, the animation team were verry good during the day with a good selection of pool games, dancing etc. There is a fantastic spar were on our first day had a turkish bath and massage, so on the whole a lovely hotel dispite all the bad reviews,we have done five star holidays but for what we paid for this holiday it was good.

I mean it do not go to this hotel! Yes everyone likes to think ooh 5* at a reasonalble price but it is not worth it believe me. In ignoring the bad reviews me and my friends decided that it couldn't possibly be that bad, and yes how wrong that frame of mind was. First impressions of the Onura was not that bad the entrance was a bit outdated but seemed alright. However, the hotel staff were ignorant and very rude, no help was given to us what so ever about anything during out "holiday" at this "5*" hotel. The rooms were dirty and old fashioned, the carpets seeped with dust and was covered in cigarette burns. Our balcony ( if thats what you would cal it) consisted of a bloken plastic chair and a railing that was fragile and corroded with rust. It overlooked a concrete jungle and the lower roof of the abismal hotel. I wish i had something positive to say about this hotel but i would only be lieing. In going abroad i expected a fantastic holiday with great accomidation and faccilities. The pool was a sheer let down as it was pea green and did not have any chlorine in it. Remember to forget your goggles on this holiday. When in the pool we came across a giant ball of human hair, i only hope it was from someones head. The sunloungers were broken and dirty and my friend stood on a toenail that was not just a clipping. The food was almost grotesque and deffinetly not fit for any human consumption! I sat in the toilets as i developed a stomach bug on the second day only to hear the noises of others in the same situation. When we got back to Scotland my friend found out she had food poising- the bloody place is a health risk! This hotel was so bad that it was almost funny, if i didnt have good company and free drinks i think i would have cried the entire time. We spent most of our nights out of the hotel and i even dreaded returning. The nightlife is great in Kusadasi but by hell the hotel was hell like actual hell!!!! Do not ignore this review, I'm not some snob trying t put you off I just wouldn't wish anyone to go through that especially if you look forward to holidays and work damn hard to eventually go on one.

Hi,
I went to Onura Hotel on a one week holiday and expected to get a service of a 5 star hotel, but to my surprise it was like a two star hotel. The hotel has no modern facilities, it looks old, the food is boring, the same stuff almost everyday, there is no variety of drinks and cocktails, the disco is small and boring. However, the room service was ok and the water in the pool was almost clean. I wouldn't recommend it to you if you have ever been to a real 5 star hotel in Europe or America.

My name is Jordan Russell, i have just returned from the Onura Hotel in Turkey and in this review i will tell the truth so you can be confident in what you are booking. First of all let me tell you that i am part of a family thats owns a time shre apratment in Grand Cannaria which is as good as a 6 star hotel it is just waiting for the 6th star to be awarded. So i had some thing to compare this hotel with. I will pick out the points that the other people have bought up and tell you the truth.
The hotel entrance is grand and the loby is huge there is an area to the right as you walk in that is very well furnished with leather sofas and tables and chairs. To the left there is a corridor of shops which includes a hand bag shop a phatogrphy shop a hair dressers a jelwery shop and a market shop( bit like a local spar really) very well equipet.
The staff on reception were helpfull and friendly and gave good directions to the rooms.
The second point i will pick out is that people have said there are not many English people in the hotel. Im not being funny but if you want English people then go to blackpool for a week. There were many nationalities in the hotel when i was there which i find makes the holiday better. Staying on the English theme there are peolpe saying that there was no english food. Again you are in Turkey you have left britain its part of the holiday to try different things.
The food was amazing. Yes some nights it was a bit repetative how ever it was fantastic every night the Turkish people know how to cook. There is always different types of chicken cooked in different ways, lots of meat dishes, rice, pastas, home made dishes, fish, plus many more and more types of salad then you could shake a stick at very very good food over all.
The third point is the hotel in general. The pool was a good size and kept very clean. There are saftey mats down around the pool to prevent you slipping and these are folded every day and then the whole pool side where the sun beds are, is hosed down and cleaned ready for the next day. The whole thing about towels!!! Yeah you have to put your towels down early but in the week i was there there was always spare beds and i never seen any towels been thrown of the beds or in the pool bit of myth that whole thing i think.
The beach is not the best beach in the world how ever its a beach unless you want to travel on a bus to ladies beach which a couple that we met on holiday went to visit and they both said that it was no better than the 1 at the hotel.
The rooms in the hotel were basic however if you are all inclusive then you only need a room to sleep, bare that in mind. They are abit dated but still they were fine. The floors were carpeted but this made no difference. There is air con in the room and a nice bathroom, and plenty of space for all your clothes. The rooms were also cleaned every day and fresh towels were supplied. (note: - dont leave any euros or turkish lyria in change in your bedroom in sight or the cleaners will take it as they see it as a tip most people in turkey are like this). Overall the rooms were of a good standard.
On a Thursday night there is a Turkish night. They hang turkish flags the length of the hotel and decorate the entire resturant inside and out. They cook traditional Turkish food and they cook fresh food in front of you. This consists of fresh fish, a huge chicken kebab fresh oinion rings and cooked deserts.
The last thing is the annimation team. These peolpe work from 10.00 in the morning untill 01.00 the following morning. They are great they have loads of games in and around the pool and put a show on every night at 21.45.
Over all i recomend this hotel for a week its definetly worth it. Its a turkish 5 star hotel but proberly a 3 star english hotel but a good three star hotel. I wouldnt recoment that you take small children from england as it hot and i mean hot. The lowest temp was about 33c and the highest was about 42c.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review i hope it helps you when booking.

The hotel had not seen a make over since 1970. Rooms were foisty and grotty. Bird muck on balcony. Staff were (excepting a few nice waiters and waitresses) arrogant and awkward. This is so not a five star hotel. Food was ok. Given that it caters for the majority of Eatern European Guests. We were all enclusive but couldnt get a drink after eleven at night unless you were prepared to pay the equivalent of £5.00 per vodka.
Sun beds wre like gold dust. Try putting your towl on one at night and risk them being flung in the pool. It was a war!!!!!!!!!!!!! The precendent had been set by the Eastern Europeans and we did not want to stand all day around the pool.
I have neve complained in my life about anything (even a bad haircut) but after spending over a thousand pounds for two of us I so aggrieved I feel it necessary. Dont be fooled by the ~Spar and scooba diving etc. None of this is available. The hair salon doesnt exist and the shopping boutiques are a rip consisting of a few tacky shops.
When we arrived we were approached by the minority (British) guests telling us of their disappointment. The entertainment is bizarre to say the least (mime acting at its worst).
My son an I wre struck down with stomach problems after a day. We put is down to the chang of diet. Until a fellow Brit told us he had witnessed the water dispenser being filled with a hose pipe from the mains water supply. This is the first holiday in my life where I have actually lost weight. My son and I didnt drink or eat for the following four days. The private beach consists of a small and smelly jetty and mud bank littered with refuge from god knows where and stray dogs were prominent on the sea edge.
To say that they are contradictory is an understatement. When they say the pool bar shuts at six, take that to mean five. When they say you cant have spirits at the pool bar just insist on it. When they pretend to not understand you please be adamant.
Overall this hotel is a lie. No way is it five star and not even to be fair a Two star.
I thought I was booking the holiday of a life time and looking at the pictures even now on the Web Page (it looks like it) but I was soooo Wrong!!

I was eagor to have a nice holiday with my family in a five star hotel.
Didn't happen. The hotel is dirty, the bar is a mess and the people are just not helpfull.
I was suposed to be there for 9 nights. I checked out after the second.
I sincerely wish the best of luck to the people that wish to have a nice holyday in Onura Hotel.

Upon seeing the website for the Onura one is lulled into a sense of "WOW". Upon arrival the Wow soon becomes OH within seconds. The grand entrance is a crumbling ruin. The reception is manned mainly by uncaring, unfriendly, very basic and uneducated staff. There is a distinct lack of english spoken and understood. Customer service is non-existent. The rooms are barely adequate, my bathroom became an extention of the sea after showering and needed 9 towels on the floor that I had to wring out after use. The air con in the rooms barely functions and is noisy. The balcony is a place to have a quick look out from, the seats (if you have them) are former school type chairs. There is only buffet food, the same every breakfast lunch and dinner. There is no a'la carte as advertised and they do not serve drinks to your table. They do whisk your food away before you have finished and they do reach across you, many males having serious body odour. The glassware and cutlery is not clean and my party of 6 all went down one by one with a bad tummy bug which remained for the entire week we were there. We did not drink the water or take ice in our drinks so it is obvious what the cause of this bug was. There was vomit on the carpet two doors from me and this remained for three days (it may still be there). There is no beach as advertised. It is 30 feet of unkempt and disgusting shale and the sea is totally unsuitable for children or poor swimmers - it is however, reasonably clean when you get 100 yards out. The pool side is dirty and in poor condition and the chairs and loungers are broken. Later I will be posting pictures of the hotel that reflect the once grand Onura as the failing and Hi De Hi camp it is today. At best the hotel warrants a 2 star - 3 star minus. Many agents are taking the Onura's own website description and posting it as factual but this hotel has been falsely advertised and it is misleading. The hotel is an ideal place for a Turkish Ibiza style 18-30 get drunk be loud sleep it off and do it again tomorrow. It is not for civilised people or families. There is only one pool and this has loud music and over the top animation for late teens to 30 and whilst this is going on there is no pool available for children trying to splash with Dad. I have spoken with 13 people from various parts of the Uk and we are all seeking a refund in full because The Onura is a Tradng Standards delight full of misleading and misrepresented detail. If you go, take diacalm, anadin extra and plenty of money to get out of the place as much as possible and stay calm, you will have to run for your table, fight for your food and hold onto you plate all whilst trying to relax and enjoy. The place is a farm and we know what belongs there. 2* 2/10 Returned 13/08/08 travelled with YouTravel.Com

Hi im shayan and i am nine years old.i went to onura for two weeks and it was fantastic. The food was great they had every thing like chips, kebabs, rice, macaroni, chicken, meat and lots more,it had salads, deserts and cakes. We booked this hotel before reading the reviews. after we read the reviews nearly all of them were complains, we were worried about the holiday.we then looked at the pictures of the hotels rooms they were small. But when we got there it wasreally good they gave us a big suit insted of a small room and they gave us a big balcony.we also had a nice view.the animation team was realy funny .Thursdays were turkish nights.Everyday at nine o'clock it was the kids disco in the amphitheatre. At 9:45 was the show, the shows were good and on turkish nights they had special shows but if you booked a two week holiday and you went to the turkish night show on the first week dont go to the turkish night show on the second week because they have the same show.

XXXU GET WHAT U PAID 4XXX
i've just arrived back from two fab weeks of holiday in turkey.we found a great offer for a 5star hotel and booked it straight away ,without reading the review. just before leaving for turkey i found this site and read the reviews and was so disappointed at what i had read about the hotel.
we arrived at 5am in the morning and were checked in straight away.we were given a suite which was massive and had a wonderful sea view.the room was cleaned daily and the bed sheets were changed daily.the maids tried their best to keep the room really clean and aquired our evey need
the food at the hotel was really good, there was a large selection of food to eat and the ones that finished were quickly replaced.on thursdays it was the turkish night and they had over 30 different kinds of food and deserts to eat, freshly cooked food special to turkey.the good thing about onura was that there was always something to eat at all times of the day and drinks were served all the time.the waiters and waitresses were really polite and worked really hard.
the pool was'nt as people had said it would be, it was clean and much bigger than it looked on the picture.the animation team around the pool were great at keepin everyone busy specially me!!! they were so freindly and always kept you on your feet.
the aquarium restaurant below the pool was good, it served turkish pizza (pide)and hamburgers. behind the mini bar there was a small hut which served one of the turkish delicasies called (gozlame).
at might s the food was great, there was a large selection of turkish food and deserts which i absolutly love and which the british might not be used to. at 9:45 there was an adult show at the amphitheatre and the there was a disco from half past eleven till 3 in th morning.
one of the advantages of the hotel was that mini buses passed every 2 mins just across the road from it.the mini buses are called (dolmush)and only coast 80p to travel with.the town of kusadsi has an amzing night life and has lots of places to see for all ages.
one thing that i will agree with is that there werent many brittish people in onura,in onura there were mostly asian or russian.im not brittish my self but i would advise the fantasia hotel to brittish people which looked great.
finally i would like to say that i feel that people have judged the hotel to strongly and didnt judge it by the price they had paid.i think that if i hadnt read the reviews and had gone expecting a luxury 5star hotel i wouldnt of had the amount of fun that i have had.
to sum things up, the hotel was spotless. the animation team there were all really entertaining and i met some really nice people.it is likely that i would go back to turkey next year but maybe try a different hotel in a different part of turkey.

Where do i start.... Arrived at 7.00pm after flying from manchester at 08.40, the rep told us it was a 40min transfer, yeah rito maybe by jumbo jet! 3 hours with a maniac driver. Arrived 2 adults one child in a room with a view of the highway. 2 single beds, requested 3 times a new bed from reception the maid brought a mattress for the floor. Complained again but 24hrs before a camp bed arrived. Room only serviced twice, food ok if you like rice and salad. Rooms dirty, linen changed once. 2 stars only. The entertainment team are outstanding and made the holiday bearable. I have never written a review before but felt it only right to warn others.

Get it real cheap (go dutch!) or book something else. 5 brown stars only and it should be 3...(brown)! No service, not clean, the air is full with.....drainair and lots of East European Votka lovers!
Kits ....not when it is 6 years...The hotel only spend sixty minutes a day to them!
What was looking great..
Fantasy hotel next door....

My husband and I visited the Onura Hotel on 9 May 2011 for 2 weeks, we arrived at 2.30am were checked in within 10 minutes and the porter took the luggage straight to our room. It was lovely, spotlessly clean wonderful views over the pool and sea. Within 10 minutes of being in our room, a porter arrived with a tray containing filled rolls and plates decorated with tomatoes and gherkins and tea for two, how thoughtful I was very impressed. The following morning we looked over the hotel and grounds and it was super, everything was very clean the pools were great. We went in the dining room for breakfast everything was immaculate, great choice, the staff were wonderful, they cannot do enough for you. I must mention the Animation Team they were out of this world, throughout the day they organised lots of activities, up to you if you want to join in, Lunch was great with a wide choice of dishes, as was the evening meal, super choice of deserts which my husband loved. All the waiters were dressed for dinner in their black/white they were immaculate and so attentive. The evening entertainment was really good and I would recommend The Onura Hotel to anyone in fact we are going back in september for another 2 weeks, many thanks to everyone for an unforgetable holiday.
Lots of love from Colleen & Mike
