went with an open mind after seeing the mixed reviews.
found the hotel to be superbly located, the room was a little tired in its decor but was spotless and equipped with a tv (2 news + 1 music channel in english)and a minibar (which came in handy for chilling our water in). the airconditioning was free and there was a safe available for 2tl a day.
the bathroom was again spotless with a fantastic supply of water to the shower (not the usual trickle) with hot water available 24/7.
we were there for a week and in that time the bedlinen was changed 3 times and the towels 4 times. if you passed the cleaner in the corridor she always asked if the room needed anything
went b&b so can only comment on the breakfast which was standard turkish fare, everything was fresh and there was a good variety available. there was the option of an "english" breakfast for 15tl.
the rooftop pool area has the most fantastic views, the pool itself wasnt the biggest but was clean and seemed adequate. what was annoying was the bedblockers (ie people claiming a bed at 9am with a towel) who disappeared for the day leaving latecomers with nothing.
you can get food at the pool but watch for your change as the lad who covered for the girl had to be asked for it every time.
would i stay at the derici again, most definitely

The hotel was fantastic. My sister and I were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly staff.
Bed linen and towels were changed every day. Even though it was the end of the season in the resort, all the facilities were available to us.
The location was perfect. We would recommend the hotel to everyone and are already making plans to go back.

We booked seven nights in the Derici Hotel with Thomas Cook.
We were shown to our room No: 405. which is located at the back of the hotel. The room was small, with old fashioned furniture but it was clean. The view from the left hand side of the balcony was an area of waste ground used as a bus and car park, and in one corner there was a dumping ground of abandoned cars and vans. Surrounding this car park was a derelict building with a rusted corrugated roof that had caved in. The view from the right hand side was the rear of the kitchen where the bin lorries made their collections. The view in front of us, almost within reaching distance, was a roof top pool of another hotel, which looked directly into our room.
Not the sort of view expected from an hotel of this quality.
