we had a great time !!!!!!!!
from BouncerBob
We have just returned from 14 days at the Mirage Park, We have never seen such a clean hotel or such freindly staff. Except for going for a Turkish bath on the second day we did not leave the resort until we left to come home to Wales, As everything we needed was in the resort ,Rooms are cleaned daily and towels are changed daily , You dont have to take beach towels as the are supplied. With approx 6 eating places and 10 bars you could eat and drink all day, We even had a midnight feast at 1a.m. As in previous reports Yes there are a lot of Russians but they are shown no favouritism but the resort staff. The guest relations staff have even brought in european BBQ'S every other night at the Beach Disco . This gives you a break from the Russians and a chance to meet more Brits. The Animation Team are brilliant and do games all day and shows in the night ( Micheal Jackson show a must). Whilst on this holiday it was my 40th birthday, Louise the Thomas Cook Rep arranged for champagne , a cake and fruit deliverd to the room also a Turkish meal that night , This added to the enjoyment that we were having. We met a lot of lovely people and although the brits were the minority we became one happy family and will keep in touch. We will definately return to this resort . Best hol ever .
Not highly recomended

A very large hotel in beautiful surroundings can get cloudy due to local mountains though. Hotel is clean but alot of smoking areas . Food was good but not exciting. Nationality ratio was over 95% Russians and about 1% English, I recomend Turkey and the area, the turkish people are lovely but maybe a hotel that supports a more even nationality ratio.
ok holiday
from spannershropshire
holiday on average was ok hotel certainly not 5 star at best 3+ rooms nice size over blanket stained carpet dirty and stained shower did not work properly nor did air con. far to many russians who are very ignorant and with no table manners all staff were very nice but not enough to compensate for the amount of guests we had to stand in queues for about five to ten minutesat the bars to get drinks as only one barman per bar. annimation team were. very good also our tour rep was great.as a familey of four adults we will not be going back again , hotel seems to be as if itis running on a low buget.

We recently stayed in the Mirage Park Resort, this was are first time to Turkey, and it didn’t disappoint us. Our Holiday was with Thomas Cook but flow with First Choice and again we have flown with many companies, but First Choice were again A1, they told us why we were going to be four hours delayed, and this is people ask for, the truth, instead of a technical fault. We arrived in Antalya, and the first view of the airport is wow, all air conditioned and all in marble, plus there was people there if you needed help. I needed wheelchair assistance and we were fast tracked. The drive to the hotel was really lovely you have the sea on one side and the mountains on the other, but the way they drive over there has a lot to think about. We arrived at the Mirage Park Resort and the bell boy took are cases and when we booked in and filled out there form, by the time we got to are room the cases were there. Are first experience with other people in this hotel we at breakfast, the majority of people staying there was Russians, and us brits go on joking about the Germans, well I’m sorry the Russians have nothing on them, They were ignorant, they didn’t queue and they didn’t know what politeness is, We did have a small problem with some Russians playing music loud, but after going and seeing the customer relations officer, and these people were moved. We wanted to upgrade to all inclusive (its cheaper doing it when you get there) and we went with are Thomas Cook rep Sarah, and she sorted everything out. With ref to Sarah, I normally think that rep are there to sell you everything and forget about you, Sarah is the only rep we have found so far that put you/us first, if there was a problem she sorted, if you think you should have something, she sorted it, if you wanted info she had it, in all I wish other reps could be like Sarah, and she was one big reason we didn’t want to come home. So if any Thomas Cook Management are reading this, please take some lessons from Sarah, she is one reason that we will probably go with Thomas Cook next time. Anyway the Mirage Park, the rooms were normal size with 2 single bed, there was the normal shower in the bath and but very nice and clean, there was a mini bar, that was refilled each day, but we never used it, also if you put your own drinks in the mini bar you will get charged for it. The dinning room is big, but you do need to get there early or fight with the Russians, they have a eating area out side where they also have food cooking on a barbecue, they enjoy cooking alt of lamb, turkey, veal with a allsorts of veg and potatoes, they also had a diet table, and a salad table, for dessert there was lots of fruit or Ice cream, I have a veggie daughter and there was plenty there for her. The Mirage Park has 2 pools, one is the slide pool and the other was a big pool that the animation crew, played games in, at each pool there was a bar, and when you arrive you get a towel card each, you go to the slide pool (aqua Pool) and give in your card and you get a towel, when you finish you take it back and you get your card back. The one thing that will bug you is they have a couple of photographers, and some time they pest you for a photo, but after a few days they get the message. The Mirage Park leads down to its own beach which is a shingle beach, which leads on to a pier, there is jet ski, paragliding, banana boats, scuba diving which were all extra money, the beach goes step down when you enter the water. There is also security staff always around the resort. Would we go to the Mirage Park again, yes, but it would be better if there was a even number of nationalities, when we were there, there was only 30 brits, I would defiantly not put this hotel as a 5*, may be a top 3 or low 4. If you want a night club area don’t go to Goynuk, this is a new and up coming area, there is a lot of building starting around Goynuk, the one thing I will say is the Turkish people are really friendly. I hope this short note will help anyone going there, the last thing I want to say is, Sarah, thank you for everything and we do miss you. Mark Jo and the Girls
Brilliant holiday

Booked this holiday with Thomas Cook and went two weeks before Christmas. Initially booked half board, but upgraded to All Inclusive when at the hotel (take a tip - at that time, it cost us £12 per person per day to upgrade from half board, which worked out cheaper than booking all inclusive with the holiday companies). The hotel was lovely, well maintained and very clean. The facilities were great and the staff were lovely - working very long hours, but always happy to help. We felt there was a great choice when it came to mealtimes, both hot and cold dishes, and that it was always fresh. We especially liked the 'barbeques' where the chefs cooked outside in the sunshine. Our rep was great, very helpful and friendly, the only down side being she promised us money off vouchers when booking our next holiday with Thoms Cook which we didnt get (shame considering we are regular travellers). To summarise, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in and when I visit Turkey again in winter this year, I will hope to go back to Mirage Park.
allocated on arrival and it was great

We booked a last minute 'allocated 5* half board on arrival with Thomas cook. 2 adults and one six year old child for 1 week (Easter 06) The travel time to the hotel was about 45 minutes, but we were on our own in the bus - so no other drop offs on the way. It was a pleasant coastal journey. On checking in we were told we had to pay for all drinks etc, but breakfast and lunch were covered. We did not get a wrist band at that stage (which we should have). The red wrist bands designated All inclusive and the green were half board. You can apparently upgrade to all inclusive for £10 per person per day - we did this for the two adults, primarily to cover drinks. It was well worth it. We upgraded as soon as we heard about it on day 3 after our 'welcome meeting' with the rep. The food was fabulous - and it is great for vegetarians too, because every type of vegetable and salad you can think of was available. There were the normal things on offer every day (so pancakes, eggs, sausages, fruit and omlettes for breakfast), but also different breads, cheeses and meats if you prefer continental. Try the rose jam! There was little fish on offer as they have a fish restarant on site that charges extra - so i think that was a shame. There were far fewer British or english speaking people and apparently the resort is normally favoured by German and Russians. I think we went at the beginning of the season (weather still warm if a little cloudy), and so the hotel may not have been fully geared up for the numbers, as waiting for drinks at the dinner table was always a lengthy period, but you could always help yourself to water, tea, coffee and juice. The lobby area is clean, bright and comfortable - lots of comfy chairs and tables. It has a bar downstairs and there are lots of board games on tables which was a really good idea. the tropicana bar upstairs (mezzanine from the lobby) with nightly entertainment. From 8pm - 8.30 the miniclub do a little disco and then there are usually singers after that. It was ok, and created an ambiance... There is also 'animation' team and they do nightly shows at 9 in a mini theatre under the hotel complex. (although I won't rate it - it certainly wasn't geared to our sense of humour!) Our room was clean (cleaned and linen changed everyday). beach towels provided daily too, hairdryer, shave points and pump soaps at the sink and shower. Bins for toilet tissue as you can't flush things, but again - all kept very clean... Air conditioning - really pleasant and needed even at this time of year. Radio/music, tv and fridge in the room We didn't have a sea view, but the view of the mountains that are right behind the hotel was pretty fantstic too. There were three pools (one indoor and warm, small size) and two large ones outside, plus a smaller paddling pool. One pool had 3 tube slides and whilst at this time of year the water was pretty cold, they were fun.. Theres a gym, sauna, turkish bath area, activities such as volleyball and football. theres a 'mini club and play area for kids, and direct access to the beach which is right next to the kids club. there are a number of tennis courts - you have to pay 10 euros to rent rackets etc for an hour..and a football pitch on site too. We got a dolmus (little bus) to the next town Kemer (pronounced Kemma) for 2 turkish lira each (about 80p each) and there was a marina, lots of places to eat, and shops selling all sorts of designer brands leather goods (although I am not sure if they were genuine.) There wasn't much else around though. We did a turskish bath trip (£15 each via Thomas Cook) and that was fantastic - such an experience, it was like a Spa trip (3 hours of sauna, steam, swim, jacuzzi, exfoliate scrub, bubbles, facial and olive oil massage!) - well worth the money - the place was called Ottoman (I think they have a website if you check in a search engine). The Turkish bath experience was also available at the hotel, but it was about 25 euro's - and the hotel certainly didn't have the same standard of facilties as the Spa we went to. Husband had a turkish open razor shave on site at the hotel barbers for 5 Euros, which he said was Ok, but it wasn't as 'close' as he expected, and had to shave as normal the next day... We took Lira as the main currency, but you can also pay for things in Euro's (a lot of the prices are put in Euro's). This was my husband and sons first trip to Turkey (husband was not too sure wether he would like Turkey for some reason oblivious to me) - but we really enjoyed the resort, and would go back again, maybe a little later to ensure warmer weather, but that said.. we still got a bit of a tan from 2 really really hot days - bliss.
Better than Some

The Mirage Park, less than an hour from the airport, is a very large complex with two massive outdoor pools and one indoor. It is spread over two blocks seperated by the pools and the well tended and very large gardens. The beach is onsite with the usual water activities, jet ski noise can be heard most of he time. The four floors are serviced by numerous large, efficient and clean lifts.Bedrooms are large and in a good state of repair,bath/shower.tv,mini bar, three wardrobes, chairs and small table. However the earliest our room was cleaned was 3pm. Evening entertainment was terrible. Luckily, the open air disco buiding,(no roof) was closed during our stay but anyone having a pool faceing room will certainly hear it. Bar prices, if you are half board are horrendous. Food was about average for Turkey, very repetitious and seldom hot. Fried eggs and omelettes were cooked to order at breakfast but could involve a long wait. Although part of the hotel was closed during our two weeks we still found it difficult to get seats in the indoor restaurant unless you were there as it opened. This hotel is mainly used by our European/Russian friends with the usual problems concerning sun beds, queues and good manners.
Fantastic Resort

I have just arrived back from a two week holiday in October 2005 at this resort with my family. It is the biggest resort in the town of Goynuk with it's own private beach where you can do various water sports, I recommend the parasailing, what a view!!! It has 6 tennis courts, 2 outdoor swimming pools, slides and an indoor pool. Our room was facing the tennis courts, and it was amazing when we opened our curtains on the first morning after we arrived (as we arrived in the middle of the night) as we had the most gorgeous mountains right in front of us, it really was unbelievable. The hotel has recently upgraded to All Inclusive. There was plenty of choice with the buffet and normally the best food was outside, where you could watch the cooks making it. There were plenty of bars within the resort both inside and out, and always enough seats wherever you went. The entertainment in the evenings for kids could have been better although we probably went near the end of season, and most kids spent their time in the games room. Goynuk was just a small town, but the market on a Friday was really good, got some great bargains but be prepared to haggle. Kemer is only about 5 minutes away in a taxi or bus and I definitely recommend shopping there. All in all we had a great holiday at this resort.

Have recently arrived back in UK after a 2 week holiday in the Mirage Park Resort. On arrival we were very pleased, the accommodation is clean and pleasant, then we realised that some people were all inclusive and others half board, those who were half board were told unless asked do not show your room card, (which was the only way of the staff knowing what board you were). So us being honest said we were half board and were then punished with extortionate prices, a small beer in a plastic cup was £2.50 a small coke or soft drink £2.00, crisps were £3.50 for a medium sized bag of there own local brand. The staff were surly and rude unless you spoke Russian and one night in the restraunt, we were even left to fetch our own glasses and botttle of water from the waiter stand. The food, now where shall I begin, easy shoot the chef, the head chef would stand outside every night as if he were very proud of his creation, mostly the same every meal time, who ever heard of brocolli and cauliflour at breakfast time, along with last nights mixed vegetables in a creamy sauce, scrambled egg which was prepared at least 2 hours before, and fresh omlettes which were cooked in a ladel of fat, which was then tipped on to your plate, now I am not a fussy eater but were found a bar in the village and ate there. The restraunt at meal times was like a free for all, I have never seen anything like it, and I have travelled to Turkey before and never been served up or treated so poorly as we were here. On the whole the amenities were very good its such a shame about hte food, which is a big part of your holiday. We also leaned that the hotel had recently been taken over by a large chain, Majesty, people who had visited this same hotel for 5 years were very disappointed at the way it had gone down hill. I feel things need sorting out as it is a shame, that extortionate prices are driving people away.
staff dont speak english got campybolator ederitis food poisoning pool freezing meal times chaos have to leave toewls on the floor to have them changed if ya tidy you keep the same towels all week camp bed was a joke so uncomfortable cat roaming everywhere and fighting over... more
