Harpy Hotel Kalkan

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, in a quiet location, great views, lovely people, good turkish beer and lots of lovely restaurants then Harpy/Kalkan is perfect. We stayed at the Harpy in July 06 and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel rooms were above average, with gigantic beds, a lovely stylish bathroom and a balcony big enough to throw your own party on. The staff (Bahri, Doosh, Keno) were the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure of encountering and made the holiday a truly memorable one. The hotel food was outstanding and therefore made the task of dining out in the local restaurants very difficult! The hotel is 3-4 kilometers from Kalkan, and giving view partly on Kalamar bay. The rooms are recently renovated so they are very comfortable to stay. The pool is enough when it is not completely full. The staff is very lovely and helpful. But despite the renovation of the rooms the hotel still seems very old especially in the restaurant area with the tables and chairs. Me and my boyfriend have just arrived back from the Harpy Hotel after having a fantastic week. The room was lovely and spacious with a huge bed, a lovely balcony overlooking Kalamar Bay and well equipped with air con and mosquito net. The pool was great, with only half of the sunloungers being used at any one time. We were only staying bed and breakfast but it was lovely with a selection of fruit, cereal and jams and an egg chef who would cook omlettes, fried eggs or crepes if you wanted. Just returned from a holiday here by default-we had to depart from a gulet cruise in a hurry due to sea sickness! The staff were like most of the Turkish people have met-kind, charming and very good at their jobs. The half board food was good value for money-but too cheap and basic for my taste. We would have been happy to pay more for a better menu. The views were excellent, there was a lovely welcome sea breeze. The rooms were large and spacious. We would just like to say we had a lovely time at the Harpy, the staff were wonderful and gave us a warm welcome and excellent service. We made friends and the bar staff gave us all a wonderful send off in arranging a birthday cake and cocktails to celebrate as part of their service for our friend. Thanks again to Bareeee and Dosh for keeping us entertained (sus Baree). I can recommend the Harpy for the views and peaceful surroundings and the excellent service. We have just returned from the Harpy Hotel, Kalkan, Turkey and would like to comment on the excellent service, accomodation and staff! we had a wonderful time and would highly reccomend this hotel and resort to anyone.

Just back from a lovely relaxing week at the hotel Harpy in Kalkan. We were lucky enought to have a deluxe room (the standard ones are still great) which was lovely. Bed was as wide as it was long and very comfy air con worked efficiently and bathroom was luxurious. All the rooms have that wonderful view over Kalamar Bay. The pool and jacuzzi were fantastic and there were always plenty of sunbeds, being provided with fresh towels for the pool each day was great. We enjoyed our stay at the Harpy so much last year we got enganged and we are returning again this year!! Staff and service impecible, information regarding the whole resort was offered, an overall very freindly atmosphere and we cant wait to get back!! (sshh don't tell your freinds its sooo good keep it to yourself!!)

My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week stay in the Harpy Hotel and would have no hesitation in staying there again. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the very friendly staff, who always had time to talk and take an interest in your holiday. We stayed in one of the suite rooms which was huge, plenty of room in the lounge/kitchenette area and the bedroom ( bed was 7 feet across!).
