Before heading out to Turkey we were pretty worried, because of previous reviews we had read, however we found they could not have been more wrong!
We arrived during the night, and were helped with our suitcases to our room. Our room was quite small, but fine, very clean and big bathroom!
Food was fine, im very very picky, but managed to find something for every meal! Always had a pasta dish eg spagetting bolognese/macaroni cheese, chicken nuggets, chips, casseroles, meat dishes, veg dishes, lots of deserts and more salad than i even knew existed! Pizza, Burgers and chips are also available inbetween meals!
Alcohol was slightly limited but free from 10 til 11 so no complaints!! Just learnt to like white wine and vodka very quickly! haha.
The 'animation' team are great, they hold a 'kids' disco early evening, hold pool games and let you know whats going on all night aswell as holding the evening entertainment.. very friendly!
La Luna is the perfect location, literally 100metres from the beach, next to lots of fun kareoke bars and restuarants. Yet it is literally a 10 - 15min walk from the BAR STREET. If you want to go on an 18 - 30 holiday but cant afford it, try Turkey! Its amaaazing! I have previously been to Kavos, and would say that Bar street, is as busy as the strip in kavos. Had fantastic nights out, but also enjoyed quiet nights by the beach as La Luna is far enough away to be a quiet hotel.
There was families, children, couples, elderly and young people altogether in this hotel and it was fine.
Security guards at the gates at night, so totally safe!
All the staff were very very friendly, always cleaning and tidying up.
Our toilet broke twice, as there plumbing isnt quite what we have in England, although it was probly our fault they still happily came and fixed both times within a couple of hours of reporting it, and charged nothing for damage etc which sometimes happens in hotels.
There is so much for everyone in Gumbet its fantastic!
Go karts, camel rides, kids discos, clubs, bars, swim with dolphins, watersports, nice restuarants, aquaparks... and the list goes on.
Will definetly be heading back next year!

- Advice: Swim with dolphins, its only £45!!

We went to La Luna in October 2009 we wnt for two weeks all inclusive. the food for the first week was really good but was a bit repetitive the second week which is what you expect anyway so i cant fault on that. we didnt see any entertainment apart from a bellydancer which is not my cup-a-tea. the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and relitivly nice staff. i though one of the bar men was a bit to full on with the girls as my 14 year old sister at the time was being chatted up everytime she went to the bar to get a cold drink. i really enjoyed my stay there and the go-karts 200yards away. we didnt go on the beach as we always enjoyed the pool. i would go there again but more in the high season this time. people are giving it really bad reviews but you do get what you pay for and for what the family ate and drank in the first week was more that the £180 we paid for per person :)

I stayed in the la luna last week with 5 of my friends for 7 days all inclusive and would def go again! Its a nice hotel with lovely staff that are always busy doing sonething, its kept clean and the cleaners keep your romms tidy. We got clean towels everyday and the bed linen was changed once half way through the week.
The all inclusive starts to get abit boring in the middle of the week but we went out twice and its cheap! For £250 for everything you cant complain!
The nightlifes good and the hitel provides a bus there and back to bar street!!
Get yaselfs booked!

Just returned from 1 weeks break 10th May 2010. The hotel is not 4star,location is ok but there was a lot of roadworks which made it look like a war zone, although they should be completed soon. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was ok,plenty of chicken dishes ok if you like chicken, luckily we do.Problems with hot water as the shower was solar powered, took ages to warm up if you were lucky to get some, did,nt get any from the sink the whole week we were there.Rooms tidied up only couple of times, towels a bit rough also only changed couple of times.Got to say for the money we paid it was ok,nice pool, weather, other holidaymakers. Our 1st time to Turkey and enjoyed it,but would go to different resort next time. T&B.............Have tried to write this report as fairly as poss.

I went for a week with my husband for our first holiday on our own for 24 year.it was getting ready to close for the season. so mega problems. there was no choice of drinks at the allinclusive bar. only vodka, gin or rakki. no diet coke. Red wine was watered down.White wine like vinegar. Bar was manky. staff were so ignorant. Food was good & room ok. but we had a great time it is only what you make of a holiday.I did here it is good during season.

My daughter and I booked a last minute holiday to Gumbet, Litera La Luna hotel and afterwards read the most horrendous write ups on the internet about the hotel and the tour operator, Gold Trail. Luckily neither were a problem. Gold Trail were fine, flights left on time, transfers were smooth and organised and the rep, who was new, was in attendance at the hotel twice a day. Hotel OK. No comfortable inside space being the biggest problem and no entertainment, other than lunch time quiz and sometimes loud music and bingo occasionally in the evenings in a small turkish room on the roof terrace. Bars were outside around pool area and dining room was open ended too. Most Turkish men were very sleezy and pestered my daughter who is blond and beautiful. Food OK and drinks available all day. Wine weak and warm but beer nice. Been there, done that, got the T shirt!

Dirty, stinking, no basic hygine and no manners sums up the whole hotel and resort. This hotel is worse than useless I can not describe how bad it is. Rooms, disgustingly dirty and towels small and like sandpaper! Pool, dirty and never cleaned! Food, worse than pigs swill! (we never ate there at all, thank goodness we took enough money to buy out) Staff, grumpy, rude and leary at women and small girls!! The whole hotel looks like its been placed on a bomb site that had a constant smell of raw sewrage!! Entertainment, what entertainment unless you call playing heavy dance music from 11pm until 1am with not even one tourist there listening to it entertainment!!
The resort, beach, if you can call it that was dirty and full of stray cats and dogs (approximatly 20 in our vacinaty) and therefore, full of dogs muck! In the nightmare week we were there we even saw two used syringes discharged on the beach!! My husband was ill for the last four days and we are awayting results of tests but GP thinks it is likly that he has food poisoning!!
We took our two children 6 and 4 and I was seriously worried about my 4 year old daughter as the turkish men kept approaching her to pick her up all of the time!
Please, if you have booked already to go here and are reading this re-arrange, aparantly Mamaris is much better. Personally, I would never set foot in Turkey again!!

Just got back from this, rooms dirty, carpets stained, mouldy shower room with mould flies. Food disgusting, brocolli for breakfast, mashed potatoe with milk floating on top. Rice & chips almost every day. Glasses not washed properly, just shown the water....
A mouse in my room just about topped my week off. We ate out every day in local town, great for shopping and food. The hotel is given a 4* rating. i`m afraid i would struggle to give it 2* . I have stayed in far far better in Turkey. Entertainment at hotel was attrocious. No effort...
We were then picked up on friday night to be taken to airport, once again no rep travelling with us. Our driver was so tired he was falling asleep at wheel, we had mountains to go round, with wonderful views down, certainly not when you have this driver. Swerving all over the road and opposing traffic flashing us. For 5 hours we had this awful experince. This was my worst holiday ever and the journey just about finished it off. (close to finishishing us all off) NEVER AGAIN........

Just wanted to get there night fight .Room was ok nice size but I meet seem people out there and there rooms were not nice they had to be moved over and over again .
Food if it did not get eat at lunch your were eating it at tea time. you can only get food 8am till 9am breakfast if you miss it you have to eat out and pay for it ! lunch again only served 1 till 2 if you miss it again you have to pay, evening meal was 7 till 9! the only thing you can get all day are drinks only lager or pop oh and after 11pm you have to pay for your drinks.
The night the entertainment did not start untill 10.30 and that is if they can be bothered. No music only at 11 at night club when you have to start paying for it . The Location of the hotel is alittle out the way the beach is close but very dirty.
Service the staff very rude and pushy not what you want to have when you go away for a nice break for your birthday .
