Hotel Venezia Palace

First of all i never thought that i would go to venezia palace this summer. We had a problem with our reservation to Titanic Beach & Resort and finally we had to go to Venezia Palace. Being realistic, i didn’t expect to enjoy it as i actually did. The rooms of the hotel were nice, big and comfortable. Our room was with the pool-view so it was great. In all honesty it wasn't terrible or that we had the worst time, it was just that there were many little things that annoyed us: 1.The staff at the reception has no clue as to what good professional service is, they were complete amateurs called my husband "my friend" and wouldn't call the manager when asked… 2.The hotel is packed with children but is not very baby friendly – there are no lifts to the main restaurant so you either have to carry your baby and the stroller two floors up or take a long walk around the hotel to get... more

We arrived at the Venezia Palace hotel only to be told no room was available. After being promised a family room for the following day, we were bussed to a two star hotel which was totally unacceptable. After contacting the booking agent, we were redirected to the Limak Lara Hotel, which is actually a lovely hotel with large modern Asian-themed rooms and a lively environment. We stayed in Venezia Palace 6 days in August 2007. The Hotel was fully booked. Eating in the main restaurant was a nightmare disaster. The place is crauded, the food is not edible. Save your money, go somewere. I stayed in Titanic last year, it is much much better.

I have travelled extensively with and without my children. This is my first time to complain about a hotel but in all fairness we work hard for our holiday and we deserve what the brochure promisses. This hotel claims to be 5*. I can vouch that it falls short of what can be expected from this rating. We arrived at 10 am and sat around until 5pm before we were able to check in. We were 2 families with kids that came for a 6 night stay in the Venezia Palace.. The web page looked promissing and the reviews balanced so off we went .. However the hotel was so bad and the staff were so hostile that we wanted to escape as soon as we got there .. However the hotel management hold us hostage for one night until we sorted the matter with our travel agaent .. I checked the hotel official web site before making the reservation. I expected a very good ultra all inclusive hotel, but I was disappointed. The outdoor jacuzzi was not open in 7 day we stay in the hotel. On the web site is written the is also beer in the mini-bar. The was no beer. The food was OK. At bars only the local drinks were included. The Vitamin Bar was with charge. The good thing in hotel was the housekeeping. The worst services were Reception and Guest Relations. I stayed there for 4 days in September. If you are looking for Turkish hospitality this is the wrong place. all the guest relation staff are Russians who do not speak English that well and not much of Turkish either. They would try their best to avoid you and do the minimum. the first two nights of our stay the hotel was so crowded that we could barely find a place in the Buffet restaurant. Me, my wife and our 2 years old son stayed in Venezia Palace between 27/8/2006 until 31/8/2006. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for families with childrens. There are great outdoor pools there and some water pipes so the children really enjoy it. The food/resturants are OK as almost all Turkey hotels. The only problem is the "reserve" mechanism for the resturants. about 2 weeks ago me? my father and my brother? we returned from Venezia hotel. i travel everywher since i was 6 years old and i've been to more than 75 cities by the age of 16. it is a magniphique hotel!!! rooms are very clean and nice! the swimming pool is fantastic!!!
