The only hotel i would ever consider going back to. A la carte everynight if you so wish but the main restaurant was excellent so much choice and variation the kids loved it we stayed near the quiet pool but no trouble for sun loungers so we moved from pool to pool to the beach. Kids club good but the slides kept the kids entertained all day. No real kids entertainment after 9.30 but the nightclub is ther for a bit of a dance. Only complaint was the evening meals were 7,30 to 9.30 so we missed the kids entertainmemnt most nights.
We paid over £3,000 for a week two adults and two children but it was worth it

we could not fault anything at this hotel, we booked a deluxe room which well worth the extra money as it was bigger than the standard with a full sea view and large balcony, the food is excellent, you are served international drinks in all the bars, the service is of a very high standard, we have stayed at a few hotels in this part of turkey and this is by far the best! we have already booked to go back again next year(which we never do) in a junior suite and can not wait, if you book to go to this hotel you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic holiday, we couldn’t ask...

Fantastic holiday, we couldn’t ask for anything better. We are looking forward to going again. Everything was A* and we tried every facility going including the spa which was out of this world and my husband used all the water sports, which were also fantastic.
We took our 3 children with us, one of which was a baby at the time and they loved it. There’s plenty of activities to keep them amused and the apartment which we stayed in was plenty big enough for us all. The apartment was amazing, with all the facilities for us all.
The restaurants were lovely with a wide variety of foods, which was great when you are feeding 3 children and 1 vegetarian; we were never hungry! We would recommend to everybody as there’s plenty to do young or old.

We went as a party of ten, children...

We went as a party of ten, children aged between 6-17 and I can honestly say there is something for everyone.
We've never done all-inclusive before and I was worried about the lack of freedom, however it turned out to be a holiday paradise relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and good food.
There is nothing outside this complex so everyone seems to mix in and get involved in the activities. We went on a trip that involved a waterfall visit to the bazaar (market) and a boat trip.
I would not recommend it, it was a waste of money and we only got to stop at the market for 1 hour so if your wanting to look for bargains make your own arrangements use taxi or bus then you can stay as long as you like.
We have just booked again for next year and we raved about it that much to family and friends there is now 29 of us going.

Lovely resort. Great accommodation with very spacious 2 bedrooms in the apartments. Very clean. Pool area very spacious plenty of room not packed in like sardines.
Staff very helpful and management always looking to help and improve and also take on any suggestions. Activities were quiet good could be better for teenagers.
Food is of a good standard and is ample. Had a great holiday and the kids would love to go back.

Wow what a hotel, I have just...

Wow what a hotel, I have just returned from the hotel after a 7 night stay and I was amazed by the hotel standards. After many year of going on holidays for 2 weeks flat out I decided to separate my 2 weeks in to 2 one week’s holidays but this hotel was different to any other hotels I have stayed in, I wish I had booked for 2 weeks.
The food was great. There is plenty of choice for people of all ages and tastes, my wife is a veggie and she said there was still loads of choice. The main restaurant was never very busy and there were never ques which I have experienced on other AI holidays.
There are other places to eat other than the main one, one of the restaurants come to your table and actually cook the food in front of you, which I think is the BBQ one. The desert was ok, but weren’t fantastic because most of them were dry and Turkish cakes (if that’s what you want to call them)
Room: Well the room was fantastic. When I arrived at the hotel I though that I was going to be in the main building but the person at reception informed us that we had been upgraded free of charge. So they took us and out bags off to out room which seemed miles away from reception which made me think I had been put with people who were on self catering.
However once I had woken up the next day I realised that I had been upgraded and the apartments had there own swimming pool, snack bar and wasn’t that far from reception. And the double beds were 6 foot.
Swimming pool: Was never really busy while I was there. This is the first hotel which I have been to where you don’t have to wake up at 6am and put your towels out. On some days there were 4 beds in a row which were still empty at 1pm.
Entertainment: Was also fantastic, the entertainment team put on a different show on every night with a different theme which was good, there was always a mini disco for the kids to enjoy before the main show started.
Shopping: The area is up and coming but you can walk to a new shopping centre which is 20 mins away and has very famous shops i.e. Armani, D & G etc which are all real and proper. There is a new shopping centre which is being built and should be completed within the next few months (according to the rep), you are also near to Antalya which has loads of little shops selling leather, and if you go ask for the old town because its where the small shops are with the fake designer clothes are is isn’t where the Turkish shops which sell rubbish and lead on to the back streets of Turkey where you can get lost (which is what I did)
The hotel is only 20 mins (if that) from the airport and only cost £20 each way so its worth getting a taxi instead of paying £20 each way per person on the coach
The hotel is spread out over a very large area so I do not recommend this hotel to disabled people.

I and my daughter have just returned...

I and my daughter have just returned from a week’s stay at the Barut Lara Beach hotel.
We arrived around 10pm, check-in was easy we were shown where our room was, then the bell boy brought our cases to the room. Our room was very spacious, being on the 5th floor we had a lovely view across the pools and out to the beach. the room also had a DVD player, cd player, slippers and dressing gowns - you can't get any better 5* than that!!
There are around 5 restaurants you could choose to eat in, we mainly ate in the main restaurant inside the hotel, and the food was of very high standard, plenty of choice and always piping hot. We did a couple of times at lunch time go and eat at one of the restaurants outside, there they did burgers, chips, lasagne, salads etc, you sat down at your table and the waiters would bring your drinks and food to the table, the food was hot and was of good size portions.
The pool areas were spotless, you could always find a sunbed, we sat mainly round the big pools, but if you have children then there are another 2 pools you can sit around, these were next to the kid’s areas and aqua park.
The beach was again very spotless, it was never crowded so if you enjoy the quiet life, then the beach is for you!! You can take a stroll down to the beach, this is nice as you get to see the hotel grounds, if on the other hand you are a bit lazy like myself!, you can catch a buggy cart, this is an experience in itself the driver was like a boy racer, but would get you to the beach in record time.
There was around 20 animation staff that were there to keep you entertained day and night, we spoke to a few of them and they all spoke good English and were very nice. There were some though that didn’t even smile at you, that to me is rude as you should as an entertainer, make sure you say hello to all the guests.
I and my daughter did enjoy playing darts, this was mainly due to Mustafa(musti), who had you in fits of laughter, and he was a lovely lad and the nicest person we met at the hotel.
The entertainment at night was first class, the best we have seen. The animation team did 2 shows themselves, and the rest of the shows they brought people in. The shows included Turkish night, comedy night, Chinese acrobats which was fab, Latin dancing and a beach party with samba dancing and fireworks that was a show you must see!!
There was also a cinema, disco and live music that would keep you entertained till the early hours.
All in all we had a relaxing holiday, this is by far the best 5* hotel we have stayed in, and will definitely consider returning in the near future.

We went to this hotel in end of May beginning of June, after booking we were told by a friend that they had gone here the year before and booked to go back this year. So that seemed good.
This hotel was fantastic, plenty of choices of food, everything you could possibly think of was available, rooms fantastic, DVD player, CD player, TV, all in the room, entertainment great, all day activities and evening show, the animation team were fantastic, really entertained everyone, all different shows capable for all ages.
7 swimming pools, one that the kids would love with slides, 2 hours in the morning and 3 afternoon, own private beach with a lovely pier to sunbathe on, and on this a choice of bean bags to relax.
Could possibly not fault one thing in this place, it also has its own internet cafe, free of charge. Spa, hairdressers, pool room and loads more.
We are going back in August next year with the kids even though they will be 12 and 14 by then there is more that enough to keep them entertained, kids club from 2 to 18, but what 18 year old would be classed as a kid, entertainment galore for all ages.
Over all fantastic I would recommend it to everyone of all ages, people lovely, polite and will do whatever it takes to make your holiday great.

Stayed 10/09/06-18/09/06
We had the most amazing holiday, the hotel was fantastic, the service fabulous.
We would defiantly return again, which was a view shared by everyone who were also using the same tour operator as us. Many people had been again and again.
GENERAL: The hotel is a 15 minute MAX transfer from Antalya airport, defiantly lives up to its 5 * rating. With 5 a la carte's, the buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner/midnight snack. The lobby bar & the 5 pools & the spa area what more can you ask for. The mini bar is included and restocked (drinks), as are the 5 a la cartes, internet, cd player, dvd player, bottled water, pool towels & sun beds by the pool and on the beach. Not to mention the other numerous bars/snack bars around the whole resort (which was huge) couldn’t really fault the hotel, the food, the location or the weather.
The hotel also features a night club (which we had no problems with noise at all) & a cinema (where the other half watched the football - it shows films a few times a day)
TRANSPORT: The hotel run a bus service to town for 5 euros there and back, leaving at 11am and returning at 4pm. This was worth it, be prepared to be spoken to in German and pulled into every market stall and hassled, just be firm. This was my first visit to turkey and I was somewhat shocked at first but soon got comfortable with walking away or really haggling for a bargain. The hotel also has on site car rental at an extra fee.
THE HOTEL: On arrival we were impressed, the lobby is fantastic, at first it felt so pristine you didn’t know what to do with yourself, but we soon settled in and loved it, being in our early 20’s we were looking for a more relaxed, not so clubbing focused holiday with as few screaming children and complaining adults (wanting to get away from that work feeling) & the Barut Lara filled those every needs, out of the 3 hotels we had narrowed down to, this was the one we wanted the most. The service was fantastic (pool bar staff however felt a little frosty) but we still pleasant and helpful.
FOOD: Breakfast/lunch/dinner were lovely, the a la carte restaurants were fantastic, booking is up to 3 days in advance so get in as soon as you arrive. The hotel does theme nights in the buffet during the evenings and my favourite was the Turkish night where food was grilled on the terrace. I would defiantly recommend people to eat outside during the evenings if they start to feel a canteen feel from eating inside all the time. As soon as you sat down you were asked what you would like to drink, service was fantastic. The lobby bar was huge, service was friendly and fast & the range of all inclusive drinks is extensive. We defiantly recommended the “Happy Lara!”. The food overall I was overly impressed with, something for everyone.
ROOMS: Stunning, modern and spacious. Unlike many hotels I was pleased to see we didn’t have to pay for the usage of the safe, and the TV supplied had a few English channels. The bathroom was plentiful, the shower powerful & the whole room/bathroom clean and well finished. The cleaning was fantastic; the bed was huge, if a tiny bit hard. We honestly could not fault the hotel room in the slightest, we couldn’t hear anyone else & it was homely but modern.
Overall as you can probably tell we had a fantastic holiday, If I could fly back now I would defiantly do it. (If flying my Thomas cook and you have longish legs (6ft plus) watch out as leg room was appalling but both there and back between the 2 of us we had a row of 3 to ourselves.)
This all said, I honestly couldn’t fault the hotel, take lira, euros & English pounds as they seem to take them all in Antalya. I will no matter what be returning, It was by far one of the best holidays I have had.

What a fantastic hotel for a relaxing...

What a fantastic hotel for a relaxing holiday! We spent a week there in June 2005. And loved every minute.
We received 1st class service from the minute we arrived to going home. The rooms are very modern and well presented.
The staff were excellent and no sooner did you put an empty glass down it was refilled again! The pool area is quite extensive and it is ideal for families as there is plenty for children to do. If you are unfortunate to get a rainy day there is an indoor cinema.
Unfortunately the surrounding area of the complex is still under development and there isn't much to do nearby. But if you are looking for a chill out holiday this is the place to go.
Meals were quite varied and there was something for every taste at all meal times. Entertainment was geared around children and the odd folklore show was presented in the evenings. Overall we would visit again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
