great hotel
from Raz1260
really liked the hotel. stayed there on 2 seperate occasions. once in delux room and once in unior suite. good all rounder. on a hill and main entrance is up a steep bank but we had car. kata beach is 2 mins walk down the hill. karon beach is 5 mins walk and patong beach is about 10 mins drive. the town is relatively quiet compared to patong. decent breakfast, staff were nice.
Really nice place....steep hill and lots of steps.....excellent though
from andyr1974
I am sitting in the hotel lobby typing this email now. A lot of people have moaned about the hill and the steps.....it's called exercise!! The breakfast selection is also excellent...lots of choice. The hotel has 3 pools 2 are very nice, the other is small but almost private as no-one seems to use it. We are in a deluxe room (2 adults 1 child), and again it's also very nice. The standard rooms at the bottom don't particularly look too inviting, but if you're on a budget, go for it. On the whole, so far so good. 5 days into a 2 week holiday and everything is going really well and the weather is beautiful. Don't be put off by current weather predictions from the UK, last week i checked and all it said was thunder storms 24/7 not 90c in the shade!!!
Loved the view and pool
from natandbrad
We were looking for something not too over priced and away from the hussle and bussle of Patong. Staying in one of the deluxe rooms, we definately got the sea view we were after. Many sunsets were spent on our balcony that had a full view of the whole bay. The Chabu Pool needed some repairs and was a bit dirty but upon discovering the Mango Tree Pool, we had no reason to complain. Gorgeous fountains to swim under and a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms were very basic but seeing as we were out all day, we only really needed the place to sleep and relax in. Comfortable beds and great, quiet aircon. We got quite a workout having to go up and down all the stairs every day so if you are quite unfit or seriously overweight, you may have difficulty staying in this resort and should look elsewhere. One other thing I should point out is that we are Australian, this place was crawling with Europeans and while we have nothing against them, they tended to ruin the mood at times with their sour expressions and lack of sense of humour. Also, the thai's have caught on that they have a good currency and have upped their prices in Kata to make more money off the europeans, which made things a little pricier for us poor aussie's. All in all, the hotel was a great place to stay. I'd give it a higher rating but when it came time to checking out, the staff denied us booking a taxi to the airport and then played dumb about the bill. It took over 30 mins for them to understand that we wanted to see the bill and then running very late to catch our plane, we then had to run down the hill with our own luggage as they would not help us. A terrible end to a great stay.
Good Location

This hotel is quite good for a mid-range option. It is near the beach and close to the bars and restaurants in the northern part of Kata. We were looking for a place with a decent pool for our children as we knew the sea would be too rough for swimming as it was low season in Phuket at the time - they were pleased to have two decent pools to play in (the third isn't very exciting!). We also wanted to be close enough to walk to some bars and restaurants. Peach hill fitted the bill nicely for what we wanted at the time. It is, as the name suggests, on a hill. The place is quite spread out with cheaper rooms right down at the bottom, near the town and the hotel style rooms up at the top (lots of steps to climb so perhaps tricky for people with babies in pushchairs or people who have trouble with stairs). We booked two interconnecting bungalows which which were halfway between the two. There was no sea view from the bungalows (they face the town) and I imagine you would only get a sea view if you were on a high floor, but it was fine for us - not too noisy even though it was close to the town. The rooms were good - nicely decorated in a Thai style. Clean and with a bathtub (which is unusual for Thailand). We had no complaints about the rooms. Breakfast was about average for what you get if you stay mid-range in Thailand - toast, eggs, croissants, fruit and a couple of Asian dishes. There was a bit of rennovation going on in the main building, but this is something you should expect during low season as it is when they get busy in Thailand, getting ready for the high season. Any building noise ceased about 5pm. All in all it was a nice holiday and we'd probably stay there again, but perhaps only during low season as we like to be nearer the beach during high season.
Cheap but pretty awful
from minky101
This hotel has an ok location, only a short walk down a very steep hill to the beach. The main problems were that it was quite dirty, there was no hot water and the breakfast was disgusting. The whole resort had a Butlins feel to it and was not what I was expecting. Having said that it was quite cheap. We moved hotels after one night because we could not cope without a decent and hot shower and the poor quality of this hotel. Probably OK if you want somewhere basic and cheap.
Basic hotel, great location
from ChrisandJen
The hotel is on a steep hill with reception, pools and restaurants at the top. We stayed in a double room at the bottom, there is a pool at the bottom but it's worth the trek to the top pool. The pool itself had a great bar serving lovely food. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast which was qutie poor but is included in the price. The hotel is in the centre of the town so there are loads of great little restaurants to eat from. There is a shuttle bus to the beaches which is really convienient. The room was very basic but clean, remember to take your mostquito repeallant!! This is an average hotel at a good price but don't expect too much!
Very nice hotel in great area
from rovinaround
We stayed at this hotel for five nights and the location was excellent for us, not too busy and not too quiet. We were able to walk to Kata or Karon Beach and there were no shortage of little restauraunts and shops. The hotel is on a very steep hill but that meant that we would look out of our room at the top of the trees and the elevated position was lovely. I would recommend upgrading to a deluxe room as the standard rooms are at the bottom of the hill and you have to walk up to use the main pools. The standard rooms are also nearer to hte main road and shops so i think the main part of the resort would be quieter than down the bottom. It was next to nothing $$$ to upgrade. The deluxe room has been redecorated, the staff were lovely and it was very friendly being a small resort. i would recommend this hotel and also this area, it suited us as we like to eat and shop and walk and we like a lively area but not the chaos of Patong. Kata was perfect and the peach Hill - very happy with this hotel.
Lovely scenery but a few minor flaws
from CyberCD
Peach Hill Hotel definately has one of the nicest locations in Phuket, and makes good use of the space, although as others have said, it's very steep and walking upstairs to breakfast (from the Standard rooms) is a nightmare. We often didn't bother because of the walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurants and bars. Rooms are clean and tidy every morning, and two of the three swimming pools are brilliant (the other is below average). Breakfast is a bit of a let-down, with a monotonous selection every day. There's a wide range, but after a few days we were very bored with toast and slightly stale croissants. The quality of the food could be better (especially the 'cooked' food) and the music is intensely annoying (they seem to play the same very short CD every day. The food available from the bars is nice though, and while expensive compared with some local restaurants, is typical of hotel food on the island.
Nice but not for the incapacitated

We stayed in the Peach hill in Kata Beach in February for three nights. A friend of mine in Phuket booked it for us so we were not sure what to expect. The hotel is built at the top of a hill so it has a steep road up to the entrance. The pools and rooms are spread about the property but these are also on an incline. There are many levels here so I would'nt recommend the Peach Hill to anyone with walking difficulties. We stayed in three different rooms in the hotel and it seems to have been built in different stages. The rooms in the wing on the right side as you are looking at the front of the hotel are very new and more modern than the rooms on the left side. The pool areas are lovely and very well landscaped. The dining area is nice too as it is by one of the pools. Breakfast is a buffet affair with a good selection of hot and cold foods. Peach Hill is located in Kata Beach and is close to many bars and restaurants etc. Its is only a ten minute walk to the beaches on either side of the town. I went for a massage in one of the many places offering this in town and only paid 200 baht for a Thai massage. I liked the staff in Peach Hill and the hotel is nice. The constant going up and down levels gets a bit tiring after a while but overall I would recommend this place for a relaxing few days.
nice resort on a steep hill
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed 2 weeks in upper part of the complex called Peach Hill Resort. Very nice resort with excellent service. You got an extra towel which you are aloud to take to the beach = you do not need to bring a beach towel from home. Nice pool with a bar with somewhat expensive drinks. Good but somewhat monotone (same every morning) breakfast. Close to the north end of Kata Beach.

Peach Hill is quite a nice mid-range hotel situated between Kata and Karon beaches. As the name suggests, it is built on a hillside and as such may not be suitable for those who have trouble with steps (as there were steps everywhere!). There was a choice of rooms -... more
