Green Park Resort Hotel

our second time to pattaya, the first in green park. Imust say iwas pleasantly surprised on arrival, yes it is true , the reception day staff could do with lessons on greeting you and smoiling! they never even aknollaged us when we arrived. We were allocated a bungalow, which i must say was better than i expected. Very clean, and clean linen every day. The maidsdid a good job and they were always smiling. I stayed in Green Park Resort for two nights and three days during the second week of Dec 2007. We were a family of four. What are the pluses? 1. BIG plus... we checked in at 10am, and they didn't bat an eyelid. Their check-in policy says 2pm, but our flight landed us in Thailand at 5am, so we really didn't have any choice. I realize that if the room had been busy, we could have ended up waiting in the lobby, but it was so nice to see smiling faces, when we were all set for a battle with the management! <br... more

Had the misfortune to stay in this place over Christmas. A compulsory condition of booking was that we had to partake in the Christmas Eve dinner at a charge of 1800 Baht per head. The food could best be described as slop, the drinks were extravagantly overcharged and the so called entertainment was excruiciating. Dick Turpin would have blushed at this manifest act of highway robbery.

Green Park is a good find if your on a budget and cannot afford some of the more luxurious resorts around. Being in North Pattaya it is away from the Bars that Pattaya is so well known for however if you wish to visit that area it is only a 20 baht ride during the day (late night early/morning the drivers will ask for 100 baht). If you wish to bring a "Guest" I was informed that there was a charge of 100 baht. Great location, quiet but with easy access to all the bars. Our room was clean with a safe and perfect airconditioning, your morning omelett made to order by a chef in the dining room and the pool large and inviting. The breakfast was mainly thai, but with some western efforts. The only problem with our stay occured when checking out. We had a friend living in Pattaya at the time and used the room phone for calls instead of our european cellphones since it was supposed to cost a lot less. We had so many problems that it made the whole stay a waste of our money . Our deluxe bungalow was more of a corregated garden shed with less facilities and worn torn bedding . I had to request our room be cleaned as they had not done this by 16:00 and we wanted to siesta . I also had to phone 3 times for them to bring our tea making facilities as they were not in the room as stated . Staff at Green Park were polite and professional, but not exactly over friendly. The resort it’s self was clean and tidy and the rooms attended to every day. We booked a ‘superior twin room’, which had the smallest single bed I’ve ever slept in! if you’re booking into Green Park and plan to take a ‘guest’ back I’d suggest asking for a room with double bed! We have stayed at the Green Park twice - it has a fantastic lagoon style pool which all the rooms overlook and all have a balcony...the breakfast which is included in the price is fantastic...it is situated in a little side street just by dolphin circle and is a short walk to the main road...Kiss restaurant across the road is open 24 hours and really good value about 60 baht for a meal.

I stay in a junior suite, an entrance with small kitchen and a sitting area, then the room without a separate door ,on the groun floor with a terrace.Really large garden with an enormous pool. Simply coffee shop. The location is on a quiet place even it build at the place of the "Gardenia Resort", it was a lovely wood bungalow resort.

My wife,the twins and I have just been there for 11 days and enjoyed stay very much.Our accomodation was super and became our home not just another hotel room.We had 2 bedrooms, one with 2 singles and the other had a super king size.Also there was a living room with sofa , 2 chairs and a table and chairs.There was 2 bathrooms one typical and other was huge,in all 3 shower fittings one being a walk-in.Off the living room was a small kitchen area with microwave, kettle and a full size fridge.In all there was 3 tv's and a small fridge in each... more
