This is a top hotel. The staff are all so good. We have stay here for seven years I leave my clothes at the hotel they don’t charge me and they are in my room when I arrive the next trip.
From manager to bell boy they are excellent, nothing is too much trouble for them to help you.

Onward from Bangkok for the first-timer
Having just spent 5 days in Bangkok eating and shopping it was on to Pattaya for some R&R especially for my wife's credit card. The Dusit was in the process of some renovations but we had been made aware of this before we set out and disruption was minimal. Hotel was excellent, and everyone from the reception to the bar and pool staff and maid was genuinely friendly, helpful and pleasant down to the saluting security staff at the front gate. The upper pool seems to get more of an breeze and it is very very hot in May. We used the spa and although more expensive than outside, which we also tried, you sort of get what you pay for. Pattaya itself was a bit of a disappointment in that you couldn't swim in the sea, was to my mind a bit seedy in places luckily with little or no decent shopping at all and until I bought and read "Lady of Pattaya" in the hotel shop which explained some Thai culture I just could not get my head round the frequent 50 year age gap I saw on the streets. All in all an experience, an excellent hotel, but I think Bangkok and then the islands would be my choice if I was to come back. Incidentally on the dining front the Mantra Restaurant directly across from the side pool gate to the Beach Road is well worth an visit or two. I think we were there at least 3 times but best of all we took the hotel limo to the Royal Cliff and dined in the Grill Room which is an amazing experience.
Quite disappointed
I and my family had a four nights visit at Dusit Pattaya during end of May till beginning of June 2007. We travel by a chauffer driven service of Avis which I had to make my own effort in booking this service due to I was rejected by the staff of the reservation center 1699. The reservation at Dusit Pattaya was not as helpful as well. The driver service is above average but the comment is for the car itself which is quite old. When arrive at the hotel, We were greeted by the door man and the reception. We give them 6 out of ten. The big complain is for their booking for our superior garden view in a "Smoking Floor" with out asking our intention or even inform us. We found out by ourselves on the second midnight by having full of bad smell of smoke that awake us until the morning. Luckily, we were calm down by having new rooms to move with the hotel good effort on the next day. During our visit, the hotel was in a big construction everywhere; around the lobby, the terrace near the lagoon pool and the jacuzzi pool. This made a lot of noise, dust and also made the guests feel quite uncomfortable due to many construction guys walking here and there, some always staring on us during our relax time by the pool. The information of this construction were not disclosed to us during the time we made the reservation!! One more complain is for the electricity shut off during the first nights. Three times on that night and each was last for more than 15 minutes. Could you imagine what happened?? No air condition in your room while you were start to sleep in your bed. Anyway, on the overall the hotel is good. Very comfortable to go to the near by shop by street walk. The spa is good also. The last comment is for the cashier. During check out, I checked all my account in the transaction record they prepare for me before I signed the credit card which is the normal practice for everytime we have to sign for payment. The cashier is not helpful in giving the explanation of what the guest is not clear about the folio. Not only their wordings but also their facial expression. I consider this as no manner. This should not be happened in a 5-star hotel as Dusit Pattaya try to present themselves.
Pure understated quality
We stayed at the Dusit for the second time this May. Everything about this hotel makes you feel special. The rooms are spacious and clean, the public areas are airey and immaculate, and the staff are polite and friendly (without being overbearing). Little touches like the fruit basket left in our room most days and the free daily paper were among the things that sets this hotel apart from most. It was a pleasure to find a large pool area with plenty of sunbeds - that does not have loud music or traffic noise. This is the 9th hotel I have used in Pattaya (including the Amari Orchid, Montien and Hard Rock) and I think this is definately the best. I will be re-booking for another break in October!
The best hotel ever!!
We stayed at the Dusit between 16th & 26th April 2007. It is our 3rd visit to Thailand, staying in different resorts each time. The Dusit is by far the best hotel to date. The driveway is a garden oasis and the guard salutes you every time!! We had a very long trip as the flight was cancelled due to a technical fault so we had to wait 10 hours for another flight. By the time we reached the hotel we were exhausted. As we left the vehicle the bell boys came and collected our luggage and we were shown into the hotel. About 6 people were working on reception and each of them greeted us with the traditional Thai welcome- fantastic, my spirits were lifted. The hotel is immaculate and the staff cannot do enough for you. The Thias are so friendly you feel humbled by their politeness. The room was very clean with clean linen and towels each day, free newspaper and plenty of free water. I would definatley book into a Dusit again. The resort is very busy and not a total chilling place to be. Unfortunatley due to all of the watersports, the sea was murky and although we prefer to lounge on the beach and swim in the sea -we stayed by the pool. Not as many fantastic restaurants in Pattaya as in Phuket, Hua Hin and Koh samui as Pattaya caters for more of a city life- |McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Parlers etc. We did find some good places to eat but not as tranquil as we would like. All in all a fantasic holiday- The Dusit made it more special.
simply the best hotel in pattaya
This was the first time my wife and myself have visited thailand , so we did'nt know what to expect, we trawled sights such as this one looking at hotels and tried to decide what we thought would be a nice place to stop...well the dusit resort exceeded everything we hoped for and more, from the time you arrive at the gate and the security guard salutes you and waves you down the hotel drive through immaculate ornate gardens you know this is what 5 star is all about. From that point on you don't open a door, carry a bag, summon an elevator, theres somebody there to cater for your every whim...and do it with a smile. The rooms are immaculate , the maid was fantastic...simple things can make a good holiday, complimentry newspaper and bottled water everyday...beds turned down every evening with an orchid flower on the pillow...and that was reflected through the whole hotel attention to detail is amazing in every department ....the hotel is also an oasis of calm from the madness of pattaya as its set in its own private grounds and not overlooked by any other hotels you can relax all day by the beautiful pools, the when the sun sets and pattaya truly comes alive ....hop on a baht bus at the gate and in minutes your in the thick of it...i would say on a personel level i did'nt think pattaya would be somewhere where i would consider taking my children on holiday ...it does'nt seem to be very family orientated an awful lot of girly bars and go go bars give the place a very adult theme..but it is a very safe ,fun place to go. So on a final note look no further than the dusit resort....and have great time.
Truly Wonderful Hotel
This was a truly wonderful hotel to stay in, rooms were kept clean daily and the location was ideal, my husband and I stayed here for seven nights and were very impressed overall. We found there was a good variety of food outside the hotel and a lovely cafe on the beach. While we were staying here we took a day at the Pattaya Orphange which was a short taxi ride away and had a wonderful time with the children. Pattaya is a very lively resort with bright lights & colours, this hotel was in a location were you had a choice to either relax or hit the town.
first class service
We stayed at the Dusit resort for 9 days over the new year. This was our first visit to Pattaya. The hotel was exceptional. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful., Dining in the hotel was fine although some of the food was a little hard to distinguish what it was. The views from the hotel were outstanding, especially over the bay on New Years Eve. The rooms are of an adequate size but if you can request a sea view it would be an advantage. We booked a garden view but unfortunately we had a view of a wall with some garden plants in front of it. Not quite what we had expected but arguably it was the discription given a garden view. The pool area and attendants were fantastic. Staff found time to play both tennis and football with out little boy and nothing was too much trouble,. Whilst I found Pattaya itself seedy and dirty, the hotel made up for Pattays shortfall. As we had taken our little boy with us to Pattaya this was definately not a resort suitable for him. Single guys and deluded old men have a ball in Pattaya but for families this resort is not suitable. The sleeze is very much in your face and ladyboys are plentiful .The hotel was about the only thing that kept us in Pattaya. Anyone who wants to visit Pattaya or who is a regualar visitor then I would highly recommend this hotel. I looked around whilst i was there and i have to say The Dusit was an excellent choice. The location is terrific, near enough to walk into the town but far enough away from the hussle and noise. Set in its own tranquil setting a real must !!!!!
Delightful Dusit
Stayed at the Dusit for two weeks, and its a great hotel with a good location Excellent breakfasts that will suit all nationalities Good sized rooms with nice balcony...have a sea view room its worth it. The swimming pools are delightful Ideal location on the edge of town but close enough for a stroll in or catch the frequent baht buses right outside for a 20baht trip to Walking Street First visit to Pattaya and loved it went as a couple with two teenagers Lots of bars and girls, don't be put off by them, go in and enjoy there hospitality they will treat you like kings, just sit back & watch the comings and goings and have a laugh. Really is a lovely place with something for all ages
5 Star classy hotel Loved it
We stayed at the Dusit Resort Hotel from the 15th November 2006 for 5 nights. We had a standard garden view room which was very spacious and overlooked the hotels lovely gardens. As it overlooked the gardens it was quiet at night . We had every thing we needed in our room and it was spotless. I was amazed by the hotels fantastic pools and all its ammenities. Staff at all times were very polite and could not do enough for you. We ate in this hotel a few times the buffet breakfast in the morning was one of the best i had ever had the choice of food and quality was worth every thai baht.We also had the buffet in the evening a couple of nights and that was the same a fantastic choice of food up to 5 star standard it was amazing. We did not eat in any of the hotels other restaurants so can not comment on those. I also liked the position of this hotel on the beach and away from the main part of Pattaya in its vicinity there are a range of other good eating restaurants. If anybody is looking at Pattaya and worried about its reputation dont be you can come to this hotel and have a fantastic holiday you are far enough away here but only a short bus ride away when you want to go into the town. Even if i tried i could not find fault with this hotel on anything at all it was just perfect. I will be returning to this hotel as soon as i can.
Total relaxation
Have stayed at the Dusit resort twice a year since 2000. Excellent hotel and fantastic staff. The location of the hotel is wonderful it is on the beach overlooking the sea. All the rooms have all the amenities you would expect from a 5* hotel. It is within easy reach of all the hustle and bustle of Pattaya, with just a short Baht bus ride away, or if you are feeling energetic a nice walk along the beach will bring you to all the bars and restaurants.
