My daughter of 16 and I went August last year and like others had read the poor reviews and thoght OMG! however i love my food and yes it was basic but i survived and to my daughters delight there is a mcdonalds in alanya and loads of other good cheap eateries so what is the problem! the pool was never over full, in fact i had many daily swims to myself, there was plenty of space to eat and the drinks poured were never half full and i often took two drinks so i think others who kept whinging maybe got treated differently! Yes the men were over friendly but it was harmless and we had a fantastic relaxing holiday - the room did have slight mould in the shower and smelt damp but who wants to be indoors when theres all that outside! We heard lots of stories about theft so we kept valuables locked in our case and nothing was stolen - the room doors all had crowbar marks so you assume break ins happen but we had nothing stolen and those who claimed they did were the whingers! We had lots of fun trips through the rep including a swim with dolphins, boat trip, and our favourite was the jeep safari - this is a must and food and scenery was fab - we would defo go back - loved it!

me and my b/f stayed for 1week which is more than enough, a budget hotel ok but same food every mealtime every day. Fine if you like salad and bread, with everything.Rooms could have been cleaner, but worse still the attitude of staff so unhelpful the bar manager told us we would get full glassses of drink served when we payed for them, and being all inclusive I thought we already had.on arrival only one receptionist on desk with little english skills and about 20 guests waiting to be booked in after a three hour transfer which we were told was only 45mins going to room there was no pillowcases or sheets on the bed we had to ask for these and yet the turkish guests arriving were helped and the entertainment is one garage cd played all day or turkish music no family entertainment wont return or travel with goldtrail again

If you book with the wrong tour operator you end up on overpacked flight where nothing is included and everything overpriced...£3.50 for a small pringles. The transfer is around 3 hours depending on the stops. Some of the hotel rooms are tiny but some are fine and clean enough, but there are no fridges or tvs as some where expecting. Food was ok, but tedious. The pool area can be very cramped and the sunbeds are filthy and very tatty, this is the first holiday we've been on and not used the pool! The beach is ok but not suitable for young children or non swimmers as the sea is very deep very suddenly.
The beach bar amigos offers friendly service, but is not part of sungarden so we found it an expensive "all inclusive"
Around the hotel in the evenings can be frustrating, queueing for drinks and getting only half a glass as the barmen are rushing, at least you dont get a hangover. be prepared to share a table at meal times as there are more guests than tables and chairs.
All this said if you arent a drinker and are happy to stay on the beach and you dont want entertainment and you havent been anywhere to compare it with................ and i agree the staff are very forward with younger women. We wont be going here again!

myself my husband and son spent a week all inclusive at this hotel last week and for what we paid (£325 each) it was well worth it.
I read some awfull reviews before i went but i think people just expect to much for a budget price and i went open minded!
yes there are a few issues the transfer times are 3 hours add on the 4 hour flight and it does make for a long haul but thats why its so cheap.
They seem to have a problem getting hold of Gin for some reason and there isn't any provision for food for the children at the hotel i.e. pizza/burgers, but it is cheap to eat out so we went next door one night for a meal.
The hotel room was clean and spacious with good air-con (apparently can be fiddled with so you don't need to pay but we did) and the pool which my son lived in all week was nicely kept and it has stunning well maintained gardens surrounding it.The beach is gorgeous and abit cooler than around the ppol.
The Turkish men are abit all eyes and adore children, a few of the staff were a little grumpy at times but you get that any where especially in the uk but overall they worked hard and were chatty and freindly.
Very hot so be prepared it got up to the mid fortys with no breeze but again if you don't want that stay in rainy old Britain.overall we had a realyy nice relaxing holiday and yes i probably would go back again you can't knock it for the price!!

to be honest when i arrived at sun garden i was a bit scared from the men there as they was very forward towards me, asking my mum if they could take me to a hotel to chat, although this was scary me and my mum met two men while there who were very nice and made our holiday more comfatable as the workers then left us alone, i am missing the animation team as the dj and mini disco guy was very friendly and kind, unfortunatly i didn't get there names, please could some1 that knows them please inform me :D xxx the rooms wer'nt that great but wasn't in them that much, the food was very repeatative, but there was always something to eat, i just miss the "animation team" :( would go back but with friends this time and see what the night life is like outsite the hotel xxx

hi me and my partner got back from sun gardens on the 1st July and I would go back tomorrow.yes it has its problems like the food not being great but they do try their best and there were some really nice dishes if you gave them a chance. Also the swimming pool is probly a little bit small for all the guests that are there but the beach is right across the road with a lovely beach bar with free sunbeds. We had a nice trip into alanya on the bus which was jus £1 each and went on a boat trip which was lovely. The best thing about our holiday was the people though. The turkish people were realy nice, especially the entertainment fella Nuri and the barman Murat. Give the entertainment a chance because they do try their hardest to please everybody. For the small price we paid for this holiday its probly one of the best we have ever had!!

ive been bak exactley 2 hours and felt i had to warn people. 1st females keep away the staff were a bit too friendley for our liking and i was with my husband ,dont let your daughters go u mite never see them again thats how bad it is.
the food was poor and even the staff refused to eat there .we were told we had tea n coffee facilities and a fridge in room dream on ..basic does not begin to cover it ive stayed in better hostels. we went all inc but took money for emergencies ,we ate out every nite after the first meal, thats how bad ity was. want a drink at the bar well be prepared to wait a long time we went and got a bottle and pop from the shop in the end. i really cant stress how bad this place is no entertainment on a tiny pool and a lot of theft going on and wen it happens they r not interested...

on arriving after a 4hr15 min flight and a 3hour tranfer the receptionist was fast asleep we had to get someone to wake him up, we were then shown to our room when handing the belboy a tip he refused saying it was not enough. Most of the staff are very rude and cant speak much english. The food was awful and the drinks were watered down, and were only allowed one drink per person,so there were big queues. There were a lot of russians which were causing a lot of trouble with the english and turkish people.russians are very greedy taking enourmous amounts of strawberries too much they couldnt eat them all. From the first day the russians came the first thing they do is take their towels out of their suitcases and put them on the deckchairs until the time the leave so no one can use them.Hotel is not suited for people with walking difficulties as there is a lot of steps to go up and down.Entertainment was disgusting we went for 2 weeks and wanted to go home the first week as it was so boring. We would never go again holiday turned out very expensive as we had to go out alot of the time for decent food.

this is a very basic holiday although its says its a 3 star its more like a 1. food not very good entertainment even worse, and if you would like a drink its 1 drink per person and 1 bar only for 300 guest so you may not even get a drink!!!!. when you think its about to get better as you reach what you think is a lovely beach its not sand more the gravel from the bottom of a fish tank!!!!. This holiday is not a family holiday at all. staff struggle to speak english so learn turkish before you go not recomended at all.The best thing is the sunshine .

the town centre is good 2 tl each. lots to do. the hotel location not to great, far away from everything. i went with my partner and son of 1yrs. the first nyt was the worst we were on the top floor and the lift broke so we had to carrie everything up 5flights of stairs. they then moved us to a much beta room on the 4th floor of another block. not a great deal to do realy. the only proper english hotel realy in alanya. would neva go back. the foods boring, just bread and chicken really we seemd 2 eat, wasnt the best for a baby. the staff is lovely tho. just not a great place to take a child of 17months.

My boyfriend and i have just come back from here, (june/july2010). we both had a great time, the hotel was good value for money, the food was always fresh, and drinks were strong. For us the only fly in the ointment was the iggnorant greedy Russians, that seemed to think they owned the whole hotel!!!. So we spent most of our days on the beach on the free sunbeds wear we got a very warm welcome from Amigo and his staff.we would defnitly go back again for a relaxing break away from it all.
