The resort itself was beautiful in a very rustic sort of way. We had a villa without a pool and are glad we didn't spend the extra money to have one because the infinity pool there is simply stunning.
Our butler, Gigg, was very attentive and looked after us very well.
The villa had wonderful views out over the bay and we were very happy with our accommodation.
The food at the Evason was very, very expensive but excellent. It didn't, however, represent good value especially compared with the restaurants in Chaweng.
We read reports of problems with mosquitoes but we took sensible precautions and were never bothered by them.
This resort is definitely not for children. It is not geared up for children and the structure of the resort is such that one would have to keep a sharp eye on them all the time to prevent accidents.
Would I go back? No. I didn't think it represented value for money when compared with some of the other, equally beautiful but much cheaper hotels in and around Thailand.
