you get what you pay for!
If you book a Turkish 3* star hotel thats what you get. Turkish stars are not the same as English, anyone who travels abroad should know this! If you're one of these who expects the hilton, dont go! There's minimal food but it's all ok to eat. I ate every meal day and night. The staff dont speak a great deal of english however you can have a good laugh with them once you try. We called them rude the first night. After that they were waving to us every time we came down to the pool! The entertainers again, dont speak a great deal of english but if you show willing they do try to include the english as much as they can. The rooms are ok, not the best, but again its a turkish 3* hotel, you cant expect Hilton standard rooms, however the maid was in everyday, clean sheets and towels etc. The toilet however was not the cleanest. Needs kim and aggie to go over there! But you make the most of it. Its a week in the sun bit relaxing. I think since i wasnt expecting too much from the hotel i was not as disappointed with it all. The Hotel Manager was great, asking us if everything was ok for us, everyday. He spoke quiet a bit of English, even gave us a drink on the house after hours. Since the details on the hotel stated 10PM for the bar closing, this is what we expected. All of you complaining, you should have done your research!!!! Over all I had a great week, and I didnt want to come home yet. I could have easy stayed there another week.
Not For The British!!!!
First of all if your English this hotel isnt for you! I went here with my mate we are both 23 but felt like old women on holiday because of all the complaining we did! Staff The staff on reception can hardly string a sentence together and just shake they heads at you when you ask a question no use at all! The staff in the restaurant as very friendly and keen to help when they can. The bar staff were very arrogant for out first night but they do warm up a bit when you keep talking to them, they can speak English they just dont want to! Meals I personally didnt like any of the food! I lived on bread and chips when they had the chips! Everything had no taste, and when it did it was a funny taste like cabbage! It was mostly re-used food. They have a "Late breakfast" 9.30 - 10.30 only thing left is stale bread and cold hard boiled eggs! And when you do go early they have scambled egg that tastes sickly and some kind of sausage! Catered more for the Germans then anyone else! And be careful when lining up for food the Germans push you around to get in front! Only fruit they have is water melon and water melon! Drinks All Inclusive shuts at 10pm!!!!!!!! and they dont let you build your drinks up over the night! One at a time! was impressed with that! I drank vodka and bitter lemon all holiday nothing else was nice! You have to pay extra for drinks like archers and baileys! Glasses are tiny! Entertainment Totally rubbish played same music in the same order every night! Really slow music, must admit kids entertainment was good does german and english songs! Then after the the 3 enterainers do try but still not very good! After the entertainment they put music on for people to dance to! Mostly russian and german dance music! Hotel The hotel is clean, the rooms are basic but you do get free air con which you do need! Towels and bed changed every day Overall not the best holiday, you get what you pay for really I only paid £270 for a week all inclusive
Never Again!!!
This hotel was very dissappointing. We expected 3 star but I wouldn.t class it as more than one star. The rooms were clean enough but our sheets weren't changed once during our stay (we were told that they would be! ).The food was almost the same every day.The only "English " food was chips and beans (every day!! ).The lobby bar was never open and the "all inclusive " finished at 10PM!If you like Polish,German and Russian people to be treat better than you, then this is the place to go,but I,for one would NOT reccomend it to ANYONE!!
Really Not Good
Hotel was clean enough... There was only one bar in use for the entire hotel, which was the pool bar, but they refused to serve you "WET"....! Was told it was adults only.. screaming, throwing, squealing, crying, barging, an even running around pool area with glass in there hands, "Kids were every where. German, Russian, Czech, (i think) No english kids. only 3 other british couple there... Food was not fit for consumption, jar of baby food had more substance, looked more appealling, more flavours an probably warmer too. Snack Bar was reheats.. really not good.. we eaten out every night..... Was not allowed to take drinks in glass to your room. when i asked for plastic or paper to replace them, was told no from reception manager. which resulted in "more" than "a few words being said", and was told that all the british are trouble, he only ever gets trouble from the british. an we are all the same. was the words he used... was refused contact to my rep, was told i had to pay to use phone. "a few more words" these words lasted 45 mins.. on informing rep next morning, he showed no interest at all... I would not reommend this hotel at all to any one....
worst hotel ever
terrible hotel to stay in the food was rubbish the same thing every night, they only catered for their german russian and polish guests.this was supposed to be an adult only hotel, there was 40 plus children none of them english running around barging pass you. A rep from the hotel told me that the balconeys do not meet the british standards for english tourists thas why tour operators do not let english people to this hotel.
quite and clean.
this hotel is said to be a 3star,but we would say it is more like a 2star,but we found it clean and the staff we very freindly and very helpful,it is a quite spot, a good place to go if you want a relaxing time.the beach is ok but take something to put on your feet,as the sand gets very very hot.
Good for a detox week
We booked this through an ad on teletext, Med Rep i think and it was the worst place we have ever stayed. The food was terrible, cold, same things re-heated daily but cut up and covered in sauce to look different. The one BBQ night provided black un-cooked burgers as I think the chef walked out for a few days, the other staff had no clue.I never thought i would get stuck for somehing i liked at an all inclusive, however here after the first night meal and subsequent Turkey tummy we lived on bread and water, as i said fantastic for a detox. The room was nice although the one we was first given smelt of old drains, however the Manager when he started his shift at 10am (we arrived at 5.30am) did change us to a much nicer, pleasant double room with a balcony. the hotel is advertised as adults only, this is not the case, and there was no entertainment at all, unless you count hearing the guests at a nearby hotel cheering and singing at their own entertainment. Whilst the staff were pleasant and all the outside areas kept very clean and tidy the poor quality food and lack of anything to do in the evenings put everything else in a bad light. Oh and for our transfer to the hotel the rep was not there to meet us on arrival and when we complained to the only other rep we saw the entire week, when coming back, he first of all said we did not appear on his list and would have to pay again, it was only after i refused that or names suddenly appeared. I do wonder how often he tops his wages up with this stunt. I have booked holidays this way before and i do understand that you get what you pay for, however i did not expect such a poor standard hotel even taking this into consideration.
total rubbish
Adult only ha ha ha 30 plus children from eastern block countries. All meals not fit for human consumption.Managment only interested in pleasing russian, polish guests. No adult entertianment day or night (execpt for one 15 min fire eating show on sat night).tried to conplain ,so reps never came back to hotel and would not answer phone. Go back id rather go to hell. Tour companies should be made to pay money back because the took our booking under false pretences.
German!!! Blue Fish Hotel
i have just come back from the Blue Fish Hotel, the first impressions was horrible, it was me and my boyfriend , the hotel is in the middle of no where!! but Alanya is about 10 mins drive or bus away, the food was crap no choice, i lived on bread and butter for a week, every night the food was cold, the choice of drinks where whisky, vodka, gin and somthing else, no cocktails the beer tasted like perfume!! and all inclusive finished at 10pm!! then you had to pay!, the beach that is near the hotel was stoney and there where only a few places where you could get to the sea because it was full of big rocks!, Alanya was really nice take lots of money for the shops beacuse its so cheap!! i would advised to take Euros! as it works out better, if you do go to Alanya do not go on the beach at night it is very dangerous overall i wouldnt recommend the blue fish, the staff where nice and they were very polite, but it was full of germans, there was no evening entertainment and when there was it was all in german i think there where 6 english people all toegther if your looking for cheap and crap this is the hotel dont expect alot
Bluefish Hotel
This hotel is rated 3 Star but was more like 2 Star. It is not adult only. The standard of food was very poor the dining area was white plastic patio sets and flies were all over the food. Cocktails were not included in the all inclusive deal and you have to buy your drinks after 10pm. Poolside sunbeds were very limited and the pool only had a tiny portion which you could stand up in the rest was at least 7ft deep. The hotels eitherside made the bluefish look really shabby in comparison and alot of the guests were disappointed. On the plus side the beach was very close and there were regular buses to Alanya town centre where there are loads of lovely bars and restaurants and plenty of bargains to be had at hundreds of shops. Would also recommend the boat trip from the harbour on what felt like a pirate ship! Be warned it is very very hot at the moment but if you like that you will get the best tan ever!
