H10 Bahia Blanca Rock Apartments Reviews
" Our second visit to Lanzarote but... "

Submitted By: roobersThe hotel was a little dated, but very clean and had everything you could ask for. It was within easy walking distance of a beautiful harbour in one direction and a lovely holiday resort in the other.
Restaurants are plentiful, but I admit the food is very 'average' in the majority of the places. The beach was beautiful and the water clear. We will certainly return!
" This was our second visit to Playa,... "
Submitted By: Ms S HopkinsWe found the hotel to be very clean and tidy - extremely well maintained and looked after. The staff were possibly the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered - No matter who they were, or what they were doing, they would always stop and say hello to us.
The rooms were large and clean. The furnishings were as you would expect from a 3* hotel - but the beds were comfortable, and the rooms cleaned daily. One thing I was impressed with was the kitchenette facilities. We were full board but still had a microwave, 3 hob rings, an oven, full size fridge, and kettle. The free bottles water on arrival was a nice touch too!
The grounds of the hotel were beautifully kept - the pool was cleaned daily for around 2 hours, so there is no doubt it was spotless. The sunbeds and cushions around the pool were plentiful and there was no problem with people reserving them.
We found the food to be excellent on the whole. Dinner was varied and very hot and tasty, with a good mixture of salads, soups, meat, fish and pasta plus the bonus of having a chef cooking one of two "specials" fresh in the dining room each evening.
Our only gripe would be that breakfast was often only luke warm, and the breakfast dishes and glasses were chipped and well worn. Also, on one occasion the milk was sour and the following day the fruit juice was sour!
We found the location of the hotel an ideal base for everything in Playa Blanca - only 5 minutes to the clean, sandy beaches, 1o minutes to the town centre or 10 minutes in the opposite direction to the Rubicon Marina - which is absolutely delightful and shouldn’t be missed.
We will no doubt be visiting Playa Blanca again, although we would probably use a different hotel for a bit of variety!
" On our arrival we were given a room... "
Submitted By: Ms Ih IngridThe pool area and the poolside bar are very clean and the sunloungers are plentiful so there's no mad dash every morning trying to get your seat. We had an incident where the hob was shorting the fuse every time we tried to use it and the handyman was over within 5mins of me calling reception and he had it all sorted and fixed in no time. It says maid service daily but to be honest all they do we found was make the bed as the bathroom floor was never swept and the balcony was washed once while we were there, the tables and chairs were never cleaned.
Overall we had a great holiday and the staff in the hotel were lovely and helpful and the area of Playa Blanca is great for all ages to enjoy themselves.
" The resort was fantastic, great for... "
Submitted By: Ms Sam BaileyThe apartments were basic but comfortable and it was nice to get them cleaned on a daily basis.
We were only 5 minutes away from the beach so great location if you have kids.
Tried the hotel food for a couple of breakfasts - quite varied with breakfasts from bacon and eggs to pancakes and chocolate sauce, yummy!
Glad we went self catering though as it gave us the best of both worlds... it was nice to eat out.
Went on the evening volcano tour which included a meal cooked over the volcanic BBQ, fantastic food whilst watching the sunset, although most of the island is volcanic and grey rocks and scenery, it was very beautiful, like being on the moon!
Weather was great, woke up on the first morning to cloud but that soon burnt off to leave glorious sunshine all week, although it can be quite windy which on the good side keeps you cool in the hot sun!
Restaurants and bars are more catered for families and couples... lots of variety from Italian to Chinese, you would have expected more Spanish dishes on offer though, which was a bit disappointing.
We will definitely be visiting again both Playa Blanca and Bahia Blanca Rock apartments. Compared to Gran Canaria which we thought was rubbish... Lanzarote is certainly a beautiful island to visit.
" Fantastic resort. Basic but superb... "
Submitted By: Mrs S CallaghanTried the hotel food one night - not great. Definitely would go self catering.
Go to Playa Flamingo, mountain climb to Papagayo beaches and do the volcano tour - fantastic!
Weather in February a bit hit and miss, but didn't rain once and while a little cloudy some days, there is definitely enough to do in the resort to keep you busy.
Nightlife is low key. Restaurants and bars more for families and couples than groups looking for all night parties.
Not cheap when eating out every night, average meal for 2 with drinks about £30.
Port Rubicon lovely to visit and have a meal, but on the pricey side. Best place we ate was Tipico Canario, great food and fantastic with the kids.
Would definitely visit again both Playa Blanca and Bahia Blanca Rock apts.

Whilst the hotel is a bit basic and well worn, we found the rooms clean and the daily maid service superb.
As it an Apart-hotel, there was a small kitchen area, with sink, hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and table + chairs. This was useful at lunch times, or for that odd cup of tea!
Lovely patio area, outside of apartment with patio furniture for sitting in the sun, either overlooking the pool or garden area.
We stayed H/B and the food was ok, plenty of choice, if not a bit repetitive.
More importantly our kids loved every minute of our time there. They joined in with the fun and games organized in the daytime and made friends with other children of all nationalities. We parents enjoyed a relaxing time as our children were so busy pursuing all that was on offer to them through the free daily Kids club and activities.
No rush for sun beds by the pool in the mornings either, perhaps because the hotel is only 5 minutes walk to one of the best beaches in Playa Blanca resort.
The animation team worked hard during the evenings to provide entertainment (which was suitable for children) from 8 till 10pm, by which time our children were ready for bed.
Would advise taking electric mosquito repellant plug in gadget, at anytime of the year and using the fan provided in the summer, as there isn't any air-conditioning.
We will be returning to this hotel again, probably in the summer for two weeks. The children would go tomorrow if they could!
" Appalled at how many bad reports I... "
Submitted By: Miss J SmithThe daytime entertainment is truly brilliant; this is provided through h10 their selves and is really good for the kids and adults too. The Animation People are very enthusiastic and make sure that people have an enjoyable holiday.
We cannot comment on the food as we have always stayed self-catering and have never actually eaten an evening meal in the restaurant. Last year we did actually have breakfast one morning, which was adequate.
The resort of Playa Blanca is the most beautiful resort, the restaurants are fabulous and the bars and shops are really good too. I cannot understand why anyone does not enjoy them selves at h10 Bahia Blanca rock; I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Submitted By: Ms P BullThe food was appalling and by day 2 had already given up hope as all the hotel seemed to the same standard.
My advice is do not go there unless you get it Very CHEAPLY and go self catering.

Submitted By: Mrs A AdamsI can really only describe the Bahia Blanca Rock as ‘Tired’. The whole place is in need of a serious refurb. The apartments were of reasonable size for three but the furniture and fixings were very old. The beds were more like camp beds and the noise from them woke us up through the night as we turned.
The food whilst hot was poor. The restaurant was small for the number of people it needed to cater for and of the three nights out of the ten we booked for we had to stand and wait for a table to become vacant.
Overall I would not class The Bahia as a 3 keys.

Submitted By: J NicklesonThe daytime activities for kids are brill and it’s free of charge. They even have daytime entertainment for adults. Evening entertainment is brilliant too. <br>
The actual resort of Playa Blanca is amazing. The resort has some wonderful restaurants and the beaches are lovely, the sea is clear blue and the sand is white. It’s not two minutes away from the airport, so after long journey you don’t have to worry about a big travel to the hotel. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better holiday, that’s why we’re going back this year. I would recommend Bahia Blanca Rock hotel to anyone.
