Don’t Believe that 4 STARS mean service or quality-
Well what a real disappointment from start to end, after deciding to treat my wife to a well earned luxury holiday for her birthday we may as well booked into a shabby caravan at Bognor! Being sold this holiday as a premium destination we arrived at the hotel entrance, which was blocked off because the roof was leaking due to rain! the re-route to the reception was a maze and no reps or hotel staff to assist, at the reception we were informed that are room was not ready for an hour (2 hours later) we got the key on arrival to the room we were very disappointed with the standard and location and general cleanliness.
No point complaining because the reps don’t care and the reception staff say "you have to pay more for that" or just smile and laugh at you! don’t bother asking to see the manager you’ll never see one! The only plus side really is the waiters, food & bar service are really good! its a real shame that a nice hotel like this is let down by a few people.
Start from Scratch SACK THE MANAGER, RE-FURBISH THE ROOMS, SORT OF THE BAD STAFF and FINALLY DOWNGRADE THIS HOTEL TO A 3 STAR (only after making changes). Finally finally don’t be misled by Thomson that Platinum means Quality because this is the last ever Thomson Holiday for Us!

The Guayarmina Princess is a luxurious hotel suitable for families and couples alike.
It is ideally located for the beach, local bars and shops. The taxis are very cheap but drive rather quick.
The food is buffet style and the choice is amazing. There was something for all tastes and of course you could go back as many times as you wished. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
They especially made a fuss of the children. Entertainment was provided everyday if you wanted to take part. The children enjoyed the mini club disco each night.
We stayed in a suite bedroom which was their equivalent to a family room. It was very spacious although the double bed was a sofa bed which was very comfortable but may not suit everybody. The children had their own adjoining twin room.
The pools and sun terrace were lovely with views of the beach. We can’t wait to come back again!

I went to this hotel in September 2004.
I usually stay in 4 - 5 star hotels as i do like a bit of luxury.
We arrived at about 2am in the morning.
My first impressions of the hotel were great... it was clean, tidy. and fairly big.
When we awoke in the morning we went down to breakfast in which i thought was very nicely laid out, the food was also very nice with alot of choice and variety.
The pool area is very nice, relaxing, and large. It was always kept clean. However i can agree that it got a little slippery around the left side of the pool, but what do you expect from a swimming pool...
The food around the poolside was very nice, with quite a wide choice available and at not too bad a cost.
The one thing i thought was that it was quite alot of money for drinks.
The rooms in the hotel were clean. tide and spacious. We had a suite and it had a very large balcony, and bathroom.
The resort itself could have been better. there were a few bars and places to eat which was good. But i can agree about the ticket touts they were a bit annoying but you simply ignore them.
There was a good bar in which we went to some nights called the "Last But First" It was down on the seafront and quite a good laugh... Highly recommended.
Overall I was very impressed with the hotel and resort, playa de las Americas was a bit of a dive though in places.
Food - Great
Rooms- Great
Weather - Great
Hotel Staff - Very good, friendly, helpful, precise.
Pool Area - Superb
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I find it very strange that some people here can give this place 1/10!!!!
Think some people just like a good old moan!!!!! ; - )

This was the third time we have stayed at the Guayrarmina Princess. WE are a family of 40, 50 & 16. The hotel is always perfectly clean & tidy. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. The food is always perfectly presented and is of a very high quality and a fantastic variety.
The location is wonderful too; enough bars restaurants etc to choose from but far enough away from PDLA not to be bothered by 18-30s.
If anyone is thinking of having a top quality stay in Tenerife, I would go for this hotel every time

The Guayarmina has served my family well for the last 9 years. We always make every effort to fit this hotel in as one of our holidays simply because they have got it right!
I’m not one for blowing too much sunshine but the reality of it is very simple. If you like lazy holidays, the option of taking part in a few relaxed daytime activities, the opportunity to chill with a good book or take a dip in a really nice pool, then give this place a go. The food is more than reasonable, the service is great, the staff have always been professional. Its location in my view is perfect, away from the less attractive nightlife in las america's but close enough if that’s your thing.
The evening entertainment can be a bit repetitive if your there for two weeks, but if it gets too much, go out and try something different. Go, and decide for yourself!

We arrived for a relaxing holiday with the whole family 9 altogether in this beautiful hotel as we first thought.
Day1 was fine then from then on things just got bad - The maid walking in on my partner and my self not once but 5 times with the DO NOT DISTURB SIGN on the door for obvious reasons. My father in laws room was a suite, which was no better than our room, and they had paid extra. They had no air conditioning for the three weeks we were there apart from the fan they had to hire from out side the hotel, which when the maids came to clean the room reported them for this, although it was the suggestion of the management that they did this.
Then there was a leaky pipe in their room, which my father in law didn’t see when they came back in the room and slipped on jarring his back. If that wasn’t bad enough I made the mistake of taking a kettle with me on my hols - unfortunately for me I left it in view when the maids came round and yet again was reported for having an electrical appliance in my room, which was swiftly followed by a note under the door to say we had been reported to Thomson holidays for this breach of which we were not told we couldn’t use in our room.
We found the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel staff appalling. The food was nothing exceptional, the only good thing about the hotel was the mini club - we saved up for 2 yrs to go to this holiday as we only stay at Princess hotels in Tenerife. This one being the worst I’ve ever stayed in and will never go back.
The island itself is fabulous with the views and trips and eating out for us was better than the food being served in the hotel. In the past 17 yrs we have been going to Tenerife never have I had to complain so much as yet we still have not heard back from the hotel about the matters we complained about. We did leave letters of complaint for the management before we left back for England Having spend almost £7500 I would expect a little better than what we got for our money.

A good hotel in a good position. A nice promenade to walk along. The food was varied and plentiful. Close to all amenities and shops. My only criticism would be that as our holiday overlapped into the Easter weekend it was very quiet on arrival but towards the end of our stay the hotel was very busy and standards slipped. It was difficult to get a sunbed - you had to get up at 7 30 am to ensure a sunbed with parasol. There were quite a lot of children and therefore not a hotel for a quiet break if you are older - but then it was the Easter week-end and I would imagine that during school time it would be ideal for a relaxing holiday. We would certainly go there again.

The Guayarmina Princess Hotel must rate as one of the best on the island. The Staff are curtious and the facilities and rooms are excellent.
There is a nice safe clean swimming pool. There are also plenty of sunbeds and shades.
The Guayarmina Princess Hotel is located in a quiet area with only a short walk to the more lively places.

Absolutely fantastic hotel don’t listen to those posh big heads who expect the hotel to be a 5 * who expect wine when they are changing the stupid berks me my wife and 2 kids aged 15 and 12 had an absolute great time.
Before we went we were a bit dodgy on going because of these berks on this website criticising the hotel just to try and run the hotel down none of what they are saying is true they are all lies. this is a luxurious hotel which is well worth the money and the reception and bar staff are very very helpful and friendly go back again anytime and anyone thinking on going please don’t hesitate due to these posh b***ers who think this is a 5* star hotel and absolutely make me sick trying to run this hotel down.
DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWS THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC HOTEL.
