Superb
This hotel deserves every one of it's five stars. It is modern and elegant. There is a huge pool which most of the rooms look out onto, creating a great atmosphere, and at night when it's lit up it's just magic. The rooms are spacious, and tastefully decorated. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom huge, and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and professional. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.
Truly boutique! Deserves every one of its five stars!
Being a frequent visitor of Thessaloniki, I cannot think of a nicer place to stay! The design is unlike anything else you might find in Greece, let alone Thessaloniki. Service is of high standard, and although the location is not the best, the hotel makes up to it by its immaculate design! Truly boutique!
No longer a Kempinski!
I spent 4 nights at the Nikopolis Hotel during ourrecent company conference. The Hotel is no longer part of the Kempinski chain, which was a surprise to me, as when we booked our conference there a few months ago it was booked as a "Kempinski". A lot of stuff still bears the "Kempinski" logo (such as the bathroom towels), but the Hotel is no longer managed by the chain. It may soon become a Hilton from what I hear. I stayed at an executive room, which was very spacious and well appointed, and very clean. I got special treatment, due... more
loved it
It is very difficult when you see how many hotels you can book and not knowing what an earth they could be like but you really cant go wrong with this, check out their website my partner and i want to express how pleased we were with this hotel. The room was large, immaculate and had everything we could ask for and more. The service there is excellent. Breakfast was good, served on our terrace and never boring and the area was so relaxing.Everyone is very friendly and will help you make any arrangements you need as well as... more
Great Hotel and Superb Food
It's our second stay in Thessalonica and we enjoyed our visit much more the the previous time especially at the Hotel, Food and service were excellent, the Italian food was the best we tried in Greece, breakfast choice was super, we will stay again on our next visit, thank you to all who made our semi business and vacation worth while
Good for Business Travellers
Difficult to rate this hotel as it is an excellent hotel but in awful surroundings. Went in March for a break. Enjoyed the spa and treatments, but had hoped to walk to the sea (no beach, just scrub) and found the roads treacherous as nobody walks around there. Understood the hotel to be in the business centre but it was more like an industrial estate with extremely unattractive scrubland surroundings. Needed to take taxis at night to find restaurants. Went into Thessaloniki for a day, not an attractive town but archeological sites to see... more
Excellent hotel
Have been to this hotel in August for nothing more than a 1 week vacation away from home. I live 1 day away by car from this hotel and my wife and I have decided to go there for a few days. Pool is excellent, so if you like to swim it's just perfect, also the sunbeds are really nice. Perfect to stay all day, do nothing and just stay in the sun. The design, feel of the hotel is very very nice, really a modern hotel but which is not in anyway making you feel disturbed by this. Excellent look & design & feel. I had a room next to... more
Where modern is a really good thing -- and awesome pool
This is a stupendous hotel. Modern, and normally I do not like "modern" as it is too "W" and hip. I am not hip (being 49 and a prosecutor) in the sense of "hipness" that I feel is negative. But the 1700 sq. meter (that's multiplied by 10 for square feet) is the largest pool in Greece, nicely done, drinks by the pool, a great sauna, steam, exercise stuff, and only 5 Euros by taxi to downtown. A great place to vege out during the day and they had a Cuban band (yes from Cuba) that was excellent (2 acoustic guitars, acoustic bass, percussion... more
Stunning Pool, Chic Decor
Stayed at the Kempinski Thessaloniki for three days and two nights in July of '03, shortly after it had opened. I like to swim, and the stunning outdoor pool, which appeared to be about the size of a football field, surrounded by cabanas, with friendly but unobtrusive service, was a dream. I had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the water. The decor is chic without being uncomfortable or harsh. As I arrived at reception, a smiling Swiss gentleman was checking out, regretting that he had to leave at all - I felt the same way when I... more
