Vatos Hotel

We decided to email Acqua Vatos Hotel after reading all the rave reviews on this site. The reviews were all dead-on. From the minute we walked into the hotel, we felt right at home. It is in the perfect location, with just a minute's walk to the beach, and smack in the middle of the shopping area. The rooms were clean, and each had it's own theme with nice photos on the wall, and nicely decorated. My friend and I just returned home from Santorini, a magical place. i forgot just how strange and wonderful an island it was. The Aqua Vatos or the Vatos as it is known locally is run by George and Alina and what can I say about them? They were absolutely splendid hosts. We only stayed at the Acqua Vatos for 2 nights, but we wish we could have stayed longer! The management is both fun and helpful -- George's English in particular is excellent, and he knows the island like the back of his hand (ask him about a caldera tour, visiting Ancient Thira, or anything you might like to know). The stay was great and the staff was amazing. George and Alina were always there to help us out in any way possible. The rooms were colorful and tastefully decorated and every room, was fully furnished with A/C, T.V.. This hotel included an over-sized pool. Me and my girlfriend have just become from our one week long vacation in this lovely hotel Vatos. The hospitality of the staff is amazing. This is family hotel runned by brother and sister (Georg and Alina). We have expected continental breakfast, but we get rich continental breakfast. We were also surprised that 3-4 different tipes of bread and also cornflakes were available for breakfast. The hotel staff is great!! Everyone's is always willing to help and extremely nice to all guests. We had a great time and for sure if we go back to Santorini, this is the hotel we will stay in!!!

Just a quick note to say what a brilliant time me and my partner had when we visited Santorini!! We stayed at the beautiful Acqua Vatos hotel and we were more than impressed with everything they had to offer! Our room was beautifully decorated and the huge pool was a great hit with my partner!! Fellow travellers are recommended this gem of a hotel. As jaded Londoners travelling extensively, it's unusual to come across the welcome that we experienced at the Acqua Vatos. The proprietars have created a lovely boutique style hotel minutes from the beach - not that you will need it as the pool is superb. I don't know why my review had been deleted and I had to write one again!! This hotel had been the best hotel I had stayed in so far in Greece as a budget traveller looking for price with quality! Basically Acqua Vatos is literally 50m from the beach, if you turn left, walk straight from the front entrace, it leads you to the beach front where all the shops and the restaurants are.
