We've stayed at this hotel several times and always look forward to going back again.We always go self catering as it works out much cheaper for us.As we eat across the road at new jules most day's at some point very friendly staff Edward and Raul and the food is excellant value for money.Only down point the entertainment get's worse.The staff are friendly,are rooms have always been very clean no signs of ants....The bus into town €1.25 goes about every 20 mins more or less.People complain lot's about the reps but always been helpful for us.Can't wait to go back

The appartment and pool was very nice and kept clean. The entertainment, excluding the proffesional acts were poor and dull. The facilities were either outdated, broken or in very poor condition especially the gym (the only reason for choosing the hotel) was a health hazard as the majority of the equipment was broken and dangerous. The situated position of the hotel made it difficult to travel places without paying for regular bus fare. The snack bar had nice food though expensive. On the other hand the resturant located on site served canned soup and claimed it to be fresh beside the orange colour and distint heinze taste. Overall it was'nt worth the money payed and was very disapointing.

we had a brill family holiday.The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.Can't say the same about the bar staff,my husband got fed up with waiting......So we went across the road to new jules the drinks were cheaper and served quickly and friendly.Went back the next day to eat and it was brill,Edwardo and Raul made our holiday.There are two pools,we had no problems with sunbeds.The hotel shop was a little pricey but for water ect ok.hope to go back soon.

fantasic hol !traveled alone with daughter every member of staff was helpful and kind!breakfast was great with plenty of choice for all.was quite out of the way from town itself but this didnt matter buses ran every 15mins and were very cheap a taxi cost 7 euros so not too bad !my daughter never went to kids club as she made friends and was happy to play round pool. entertainment at nite was a bit repetative but still fun wish the kids disco lasted longer wacky wez was great as were the other entertainers !the food was fantastic in the snack bar and resturant we loved the bbq !the air con in rooms was great!and views from balcony were good 2 !the only downfall was there was lots of ants!these didnt really bother us as everything else was brill will be returning in 2010 !

Booked this holiday as it was advertised as having a Wavelength club for 9-15 year olds, it didn't (and never had). We took the all inclusive drinks option which was worth doing. There weren't enough sunbeds to the extent people were out claiming them as early as 8am (never let the English critisize the Germans over this again) and the bars were understaffed at times (expect to stand for 10 mins for a drink). The proximity to the beach advertised was a joke, there was a filthy strip of rubble close by but the nearest sand was a 20 minute walk. And then there's the entertainment (or lack of it). Daytime around the pool was water aerobics followed by some inane game of throwing a rubber chicken or such like. The rest of the daytime activities were either for adults only or were utterly pathetic hence we had a vey bored 12 year old on our hands. The evening entertainment was worse, bingo followed by loud reps attempting to get holiday makers to humiliate themselves (think along the lines of 'run and come back on the stage with a bra then put it on'). On the plus side the accomodation was nice and the air conditioning a real bonus. The resort of Pollenca is a short bus ride away and is a lovely place to eat out which helps when you need to escape the evening dross!

Just back from a week here. Ants are everywhere and also saw rats,The beach is more like a rubbish tip.Not enougth sunbeds,Out of the way location,Thats all the bad points out of the way.The staff are great, as are the entertainers.Wacky wes lives upto his name.
Food was ok i would say this is a 3* Aparthotel.Bar closes about 12.00 so dont expect to stay up drinking till the early hours.Pollensa is 5 min bus ride away, sandy beach, cafe/bars,buses stop running about 8.pm so taxi back about 7 euros.Alcudia 10.mins by bus lots more of everything.In all not bad would i go back NO.

Just back from our second year in a row at Club del Sol! We had a fantastic time, the staff are amazing and many remembered us from last year! We even received a bottle of wine for coming back! would definately recommend the AI drinks and snacks, its such good value especially if you have kids looking ice cream and drinks all day! You can either book that in advance or upgrade when you get there. The entertainment was fantastic this year, much better then last. Its the perfect holiday if you have young children, kids club is on up to 4 times a day and every evening there is kids disco followed by bingo and then the entertainment. I traveled alone with 2 small children both times and was embraced by both the staff, reps and other families there. I cannot speak highly enough about Club Del Sol, and many families I met had stayed there before like myself. That in itself speaks volumes!

Have just come back after a weeks stay @ the club del sol,we booked two rooms and found both to be spacious, with good facilities. the appartments are situated just 5mins from the town centre and approx 10mins from alcudia, (by bus or taxi) we found the recepcion staff and the dining room staff very friendly and helpful. the food was excellent, and the choice of different dish options was great. The entertaqinment was good, a different act every night. The kids club reps were very good, and certainly knew their stuff,,,,, Well done !! there were four pools, two large and two for the little ones, they were great for a cooling dip on a hot day. The poolside bar and snack bar was very good, with a varied menu for light snacks, which were good. I/We would definately recommend The Club Del Sol Appartments to anyone wanting a good, relaxing holiday and at a reasonable price !!! Thank you Thomson / First Choice, for a great holiday. I WILL be returning again very soon !!!!

The only other thing i would say about this hotel is if you are eating in the restaurant, although its advertised as buffet style if you go up for more helpings or for extra for children etc you are watched and made to feel a little uncomfortable....if you can ignore them you will be ok ....WE DID!!
Pedro on the outside bar was a little rude at times aswell.....make sure if getting crisps he knows that you have children!!!!!!

We have just returned from our holiday / honeymoon in the club del sol. In a minimum of words we would definately recommend this place to anyone and would return. We upgraded from all inclusive drinks to half board with AI drinks. The food, although not a fantastic selection for children was very nice and a varied menu. The majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool although cold was very refreshing if it was a hot day!!. The room was practical although we did have a problem with ants......seemed to be coming from behind the kitchen cupboards???? When we told reception of this they did get a cleaner to come and sort the problem but the night before we left they had returned.......
Pollenca is only a 10 min walk away but buses are regular enough if the walk is not an option. The Entertainment is good with something different every night, The Magic show is a must if available during your stay as is the blues brothers tribute!!!
On a whole as stated earlier we would recommend this property to anyone and we would recommend the upgrade also.
