i have stayed here for the past three years for two weeks at a time at different points of the year. i really enjoy staying at these apartments as yanni, maria nd vengelis make you feel really really really welcome. the rooms are basic but are all you really need for sleeping in. the kitchen is very basic but you dont really need to use them as the food in the village in the pool bar and resturants along the strip are cheap enough. the bathroom is very basic once again but it has a shower, toilet and sink the basics that you need. but beware that when the shower is on it does leak on the floor as it doesnt have an attachment for the wall so u have to hold it. the towels are changed daily and sheets changed twice a week. over all the rooms are good quality for the price and you cant expect five star luxuary in a three star apartment which is a bargain of a holiday. the pool is a relativly large pool but doesnt have a large amount of sunbeds for the amount of people that are stayin at the apartments at the high season. so then u ave to go down to the beach which is nice and relaxing. if it wasnt that good we would not have gone back time and time again. each time we have been here we have had an amazing holiday.

My husband and myself stayed at the Chrysanthis apartments from 29th august 07 to sept 13th. We arrived V. early in the morning and we were greeted by one of the son's owner's. V. friendly ( at 5.30 am). Apartments above basic for Greek accomadation as we are well travelled in Greece. Ok bathroom basic but get used to Greece! Always very clean. Maid a total sweetheart and came everyday apart from Sunday. A total obsession with clean towels. Had more than we knew what to do with. Pool area etc very clean. Comments on the beaches. The nearest beach was 100mtrs away via the back of the apartments. Yes there where a few rocks but visited heavily by the Greeks and fantastic for snorkling. Pefkos itself was a lovely resort. Quiet enough but if you did want to drink until the early hours there where enough bars there. Rock Bar and Pefkos By Night particually recommended. If you want to eat out plenty of excellant restaurants especially Spitakis. If you want Boom de Boom stay in Falaraki if you want night life low key but not dead and peaceful days Pefkos is for you.

The Chrysanthi is in a central location laid slightly back from the main road in Pefkos it was our first visit (not my brothers as he has stayed many times) on seeing our studio for the first time it was quite a shock although he prepared us for basic I didnt realise how basic, hardly any crockery cutlery etc small unit housing 2 electric rings, sink, fridge, cupboard and drawer. 2 single beds, 1 wardrobe with a drawer underneath,a dressing table and a bedside table between the 2 beds all very old. The beds were very low with very hard mattresses and pillows that were equally as hard. The shower had no fixings but my brother rigged us up a fitting out of a metal coat hanger the water goes everywhere but there is a drain in the floor. On saying this bedding / towels were changed and the room was cleaned daily except for Sundays. The pool was small but spotlessly clean and you could get sunbeds anytime of the day and was open from 9am to 8pm. The bar / snack bar sold food until about 7pm but the bar stayed open until the last person left. The family that run the apartments are very nice and really helpful Yanni and Maria but they could do with investing some money into the rooms, where it's needed most. Saying this the whole place is spotlessly clean which is a plus. Pefkos is a lovely place with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from without having to walk to far and all are reasonably priced, we did'nt have a bad meal all holiday. We had 3 teenagers with us and they spent most of their holiday in the Eclipse bar . They enjoyed their holiday so much that they have already booked for next year with friends that they made this holiday. Lindos is a 6 euro taxi ride away and is well worth a visit, lot's of little shops and a beautiful sandy beach and is steeped in history. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday and will definately be going back again .

pool area is fantastic but the rooms are in need of updating. the shower is pathetic,it only went to my waist...im 5' 2"! apart from that the resort is great,plenty to do for all ages and the bars stay open as long as your drinking! i didnt get in till at least 5am every morning! Beach is ok but your better off staying by the pool. Whatever you do,do not eat the mayonaise,it tastes of vinegar! Im definatly going back but will be staying at a different hotel.

We stayed at Chrysanthi's for 3 weeks during July 2007. We had a second floor studio which included a single & double bed, vanity with stool & mirror, closet & 2 drawer's and 2 small night stands. There was a refrigerator & electric stove along w/ dishes, silverware & cups for 2. They bath room was small but doable. All the rooms are air conditioned and have a remote. There was also a nice size balcony w/ a small table & 3 chairs and a clothes line. Bed linens & clean towels were change every other day except for Sunday. The floors were mopped & garbage removed daily. The premises are kept very clean and there is a nice family feel. The owners, Yanni & Marietta (and their dog Ector) live on the grounds and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. There is a good size pool with rafts that previous guests leave. There are about 2 dozen lounge chairs and umbrellas. The bar/restaurant area is adjacent to the pool area. This area opens at 9 am w/ breakfast & other foods thru the evening. The lobby has 2 computers that you can use; 1 Euro buys you 17 minutes. There are also safes in the lobby that are secured. There are 2 bedroom apt. on the first floor. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and is located right on the "strip" in Pefki. There are probably 30+ restaurants/bars within walking distance. On Friday evenings, there is a Greek BBQ buffet that is very enjoyable for 10 Euro/all you can eat. All the food is homemade by one of the ladies who works in the morning at the bar and Marietta. After dinner Yanni takes time to teach some Greek dances. This was our first stay here and we really enjoyed it. I do have to comment on the previous review regarding the safes. I know for a fact that Yanni does not have any extra keys to the safes. We lost our key & had to get our passports and he had to call a locksmith from Rhodes to come because he didn't have a master key. There are 2 keys that need to be used to open the safes. The lobby is locked thru the night as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to our friends or stay here again. If any negatives, they would be that there were no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.) in the room and the maids have a tendency to turn the air conditioning off if you are not in the room.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the chrisanthi appts in the second week in june 07. The rooms are very basic but cleaned daily (exept sun). and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We both had a great time during our 2 week stay in Pefcos and I would definately recommend these appartments to anyone travelling on a budget. But BEWARE the safe's. The first day I hired a safe (No 13, yes unlucky) which me and my girlfriend both put our money in.The safe's are located in the reception area which is not manned all of the time but is locked at night. We had brought the same amount of money with us for our holiday and every day we would take so much out of our own money and make a kitty for food and drinks ect. After about 9 days we counted the money what we had left and my girfriend was about 70 euros short of what I had left. We both racked our brains trying to think what she had spent the money on but could not account for missing amount. Anyway she took her money out and I counted mine and left 100 euros in the safe. The next day when I went to the Safe for some money only 80 euros remained. Alarm bells started to ring.It was at that time I realised someone had access to my safe and was helping themselves a bit at a time trying not to get noticed. I reported this to the manager but he said it was impossible and that there had never been an incident like this ever. I also reported this to the holiday rep , he listened but did'nt seem interested. Anyway we did'nt let this spoil the last few days of our holiday and like I said earlier the Crysthanthi appts are clean, in a great location, basic but great value for money and the pool is excellent. Just BEWARE when hiring a safe. Ps There are plenty of cash machines in Pefkos.

Very clean and comfortable, a basic apartment kept immaculately clean by the daily cleaning service. The apartment was simply furnished with comfortable beds, there was plentiful hot water, the pool was safe with ample sunbeds and the owner was on site to ensure a pleasant holiday It is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, a sheltered bay ideal for children I would thoroughly recommend Chrysanthi for couples and families

We have just come back from staying at the Chrysanthi Apartments in Pefkos Rhodes. The owners are friendly, the swimming pool large and clean. The apartment itself was basic but it was clean and tidy with a nice balcony area. It's a quite location and the beach is only a 5 min walk away. There are numerous restaurants and bars nearby and I would reccommend the restaurant and bar at the top of the road leading down to the apartments. Car rentals are really cheap 50 euros for three days and I would highly reccommend a trip to Symi for the day. The only down side to the apartment was a small bathroom and the tempramental water temperature in the shower. Apart from this I would highly reccommend staying at the Chrysanthi Apartment.

The Chrysanthi Hotel Apartments are in the centre of Pefkos just off the main road. Given the location they are suprisingly quiet. The owners are so friendly, it was like visiting family. Our studio was immaculate and had everying needed including a hairdryer. Pefkos town is situated in foothills so if you have mobility problems or a pushchair to consider check where your accommodation is. Chrysanthi Apartments are perfectly placed at the bottom of the hills, it is level walking to the main street and to the beaches. Pefkos is also extremely hot, due to its position at least 5 degrees more than temps advertised in Rhodes town. The beaches are long and narrow with sand. The water is perfect for snorkeling with a varied selection of fish, crabs and even octopus to watch. Buses to Rhodes town run approximately every hour and pass through most of the major resorts on the east coast including Lindos and Falaraki. The trip to Rhodes town takes about 1 1/2 hours. Taxis are well priced and readily available day and night. Boat trips to Lindos are available from Pefkos as are other sighseeing trips in glass bottom boats. Pefkos is still a fairly quiet resort unspoiled by large hotels. There are many different nationalities who visit here which makes a nice change to the many resorts dominated by British holidaymakers. One tip I would offer as an indepentant traveller is dont pre book your taxis, there are set prices over long distances in Rhodes, if you pre book with most agencies you will pay well over the local fare for the same service.
