Just got back from Lindos cant wait to go back had a fabulous holiday.
First time we have booked with Libra holidays and would book with them again we stayed in the Chrysanthi studios near the captain bar at the back of the village nr the foot of the acropolis which was very central to all restaurants and about five min from St Pauls bay and ten min from main beach.
The studios where typical Greece not very big but clean and central could not fault anything.

When we arrived to our apartments I was pleasantly surprised to see that the complex looked exactly like the photo shown (as I know that many do not)! The pool looked very clean & clear. We were approached by the owner’s son, Van Gellis who showed us to our room and was very friendly.
There were 5 of us staying in a 2-bed apartment. The room is nice but basic with a kettle, 2 plate electric cooker, fridge and air con (have to pay extra). I would warn you that the rooms keep in the heat regardless of having the windows and doors open so it's worth getting air con. Also it costs extra to keep your room on but if you are not departing till the evening then it is definitely worth having.
The family (Maria, Janis) who run the apartments are lovely. I would definitely recommend the English breakfast!
The apartments are set in the middle of Pefkos, which made it easy to go out and find a nice restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and tavernas to choose from but personally for a good evening meal I will recommend Terpsis! This restaurant is by far the best restaurant in Pefkos. All of us could not fault the food once and we ended up returning for our evening meal 5 times out of the two weeks and had our last meal before setting off to the airport to come back home.
The sandy beach is roughly 10 minutes walk away from our apartments. I would say that it is best to get there by 10am the latest otherwise there will not be any sun beds left. That was our mistake the first time we went as it was in the afternoon. Also if you like boats then the glass bottom boat isn’t far away though you have to be there by 1pm the latest as that is the last trip out. We all enjoyed it and you get some good pictures when out in the sea!
The resort itself is very nice and quite. There are a few bars that play all sorts of music till late. These bars are situated at one end of the main road to help reduce the noise at night. When you return to the complex in the evening, a member of the family will be by the bar pool joining in conversation with everyone and is also a good way to meet your neighbours.
So if you like somewhere quite with nice friendly people and good company then I would say this is a great place to come. I would come here again for the people and the restaurant!

The Chrysanthi Hotel Apartments are centrally located in Pefkos. 5 minute walk to either the main beach or the smaller St Thomas beach. Suprisingly quiet considering the main street is just around the corner.
The studio was immaculate. Cleaned daily, towels changed twice a week and sheets changed once a week. There is a hairdryer provided. It has a good sized pool with free sun beds. The snack bar serves food all day and is reasonably priced. The owners and staff are so friendly it felt like visiting family. I would recommend joining their weekly BBQ around the pool which is informal and good fun.
Pefkos has a great selection of restraunts and bars. The livlier bars are located at the far end of the main road which keeps the resort from being noisy. Best food I had was at the Colliseum restraunt but it lacked atmosphere, the worst was at Zorbas although the atmosphere was good, these are two extremes. All the other places we visited offered a good menu and a good atmosphere.
The bus service to Rhodes town is roughly every hour and it takes approx 1 1/2 hours to get there. It passes through Lindos, Afandou and Falaraki (this stop for the water park) amongst other towns. Taxi ranks in Pekos always have a good supply.
Pefkos is one of the few small traditional Greek holiday resorts that hasnt been spoiled by large hotels and invading water sports. A good family resort. It is placed at the bottom of hills so if you have mobility problems make sure you know the exact location of any accommodation you book. The Chrysanthi apartments are ideal for families with pushchairs or the less mobile given their position.
Lindos is a must to visit although be prepared for hoards of tourists. The Acropolis is worth the climb but try to get there very early in the day. Seriously in high season the crowds are heaving. You can get there from Pefkos via a glass bottom boat cruise (16 euro adult 11 euro child) includes a stop for a swim at Navarone Bay, bus (1.20 euro) or taxi (6 euro)
One tip I would give after booking my holiday independantly is not to pre book your Taxi using the various online agencies.
A Taxi from the airport to Pefkos will cost a set price of 43 euro but if you pre book with an agency it will cost you almost twice as much.

If you are looking for very basic Greek style accommodation, then the Chrysanthi Apartments are for you.
Nothing special but they are clean as the maid comes every day (apart from Sunday). Towels are only changed twice a week but the bed linen is changed every day. The manager is very helpful, but his English is limited.
Basic is definitely the word as our apartment was one small room with a wardrobe, dressing table and a few drawers (not enough!). The kitchen was tiny and part of the main room...just a cupboard with two rings on the top and a sink, so don't expect to be cooking any major meals!
The bathroom was small with an unusually powerful shower, but no hook to hang it on so it's a hold over the head job. Water was very hot from 4pm onwards and although there was a shower curtain, the floor gets very wet, so be careful. A fan for the room will cost you 30 Euros a week and to turn the air conditioning on was 50 Euros a week.
The best thing about the apartments is their central location - just off the main street down a dirt track and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a supermarket across the road and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
The biggest negative about the Chrysanthi was the noise. The room walls were paper thin, so we could hear everything....even the neighbours clanking their cutlery on plates first thing in the morning!
We had a balcony but it just looked out on to the dirt track and, unfortunately, a building site across the road. This site was the source of a great deal of noise throughout the day (started at 9am!) Also the bar that was across the dirt track next to our apartment block started playing loud music from 5pm onwards (but not during the night thankfully).
I would say that the building work over the road will continue throughout the summer as it was only in its early stages last week.
The best way to avoid looking at it/hearing it is to make sure you have an apartment near to the pool/towards the beach and I would suggest requesting this with your travel agent.
We were situated in a separate block nearest to the main road, which in my opinion was the worst place compared to the rest of the apartment complex.
The pool area of the Chrysanthi was nice and (apart from the building noise!) was a great place to catch the sun as it was quite sheltered from the breeze. The restaurant serves basic food and is open all day.
Pefkos itself is a lovely resort. Very much geared up for families and kids. Lots of nice bars and restaurants. For a lovely, well cooked Greek meal using the best cuts of meat and with lovely flavours, I would recommend the Greek House. This is situated near the bottom of the road towards the beach, across the road from the Matina Hotel.
Enigma restaurant (biggest and nicest looking place on the main street) was also lovely. For a friendly welcome and nice cocktails try the Roof Garden, Jimmies Bar, and Nostalgia.
If you want a really nice place to stay, go for the Stella Apartments, the Matina Hotel or the Pefkos beach. We had family staying in all of these and they were really nice and modern (especially compared to the Chrysanthi!!)
My partner and I had a great time as Pefkos is a nice, relaxed resort, but it is definitely worth paying extra for good accommodation if you can afford it!
