Mykonos Bay Hotel

There are a couple of bad reviews on this site about this hotel. Ignore them. This hotel has changed hands in the last year. Rest assured that it is spotlessly clean, the staff are extremely helpful and the maitre d'hotel a perfectionist who watches his staff every minute. Imagine a swimming pool containing sea water and a pool bar surrounded by a beach and mountains. There are even four poster beds by the pool ! The hotel has just been refurbished. Everything is painted white and blue. Rooms have the wow factor. Spotless. Lovely sculptures and displays. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk out of town, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Stunning views of the sea and of Mykonos Town from the balconies, especially at sunset time. And the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Top class hotel. We'd go there again any time.

A+) Location. Just a short walk outside of town. Close enough to everything but far enough away for peace & quiet. Beach is right outside the pool area. D+) Room. The bed was terrible & the room wasn't all that clean. F) Bathroom. The shower sucked!!!! We went to the gym in town to take a shower. This is the worst shower ever! I cannot stress to you. Just back from a week in Mykonos and stayed at the Myconos Bay Hotel. Its great!!!! Really nice staff and the rooms are all built round a central courtyard. Room itself was good - the best I have ever stayed in by greek standards and had a huge balcony and nicely decorated in blue and lots of windows with a great view over the sea and the Mykonos windmills. We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel during August. The hotel was very expensive but then most of Mykonos is during the peak season. The hotel is very old and rundown and could certainly do with a face lift. The toilets in reception are disgusting. The room itself is also very old. We stayed at the Mykonos Bay Hotel for two nights at the beginning of July. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy and had air-conditioning, a TV, fridge and great sea views. The pool was lovely and the food served at the pool bar was very nice as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beach just outside the hotel is clean and quiet. The hotel arranged pick up for us from the port and dropped us off there upon departure as well which was extremely helpful as Mykonos has terrible problems with a lack of taxis. This is a lovely hotel with a great location near town, on the beach with a pool. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. Rooms were clean. Only suggestion is mosquito repellent . Got alot of mosquito bites at night while sleeping. You can see them on the white walls but couldn't reach them.

My Mother and I took the Island Hopping Sigma through Transat Holidays. We have no complaints regarding this agency. The representatives were all very nice, and all except one were very knowledgeable in their area (islands). Small, clean, quiet and reasonably priced. A ten-minute walk to town, where you can't drive anyway. Scooter and ATM rental agency on the way for going to the beaches. Try to get one of the cabana-type rooms outside of the main "lodge"...complete privacy and separate entrance. We stayed three days and thoroughly enjoyed it. And the breakfast is really a brunch!

We stayed at the Mykonos Bay Hotel recently. It is not a new hotel but it is charming and well located on a small quiet beach with lovely sea views. It is a ten minute walk from the town. An extensive and tasty breakfast is served and the staff is very accommodating. The manager speaks excellent English. We found it a good home base for exploring the island.
