Great location, newly renovated
from jbcarls
We found this hotel while researching various options in Paris that were convenient. Our room had recently been renovated so very new carpet, furniture, wall coverings, etc. They were still working on the first and second floors while we were there which did not bother us even though we were on the 3rd floor. We had a family room since there were four of us including our two kids ages 15 and 18. The room at times could be tight but not bad for 4 grown people. However since rooms in Europe are not the same size as the United States...

Good 3 stars hotel well located in Paris
from patetjojo
This hotel is very nice 3 stars superior! All the rooms are well decorated with a French Touch :-) The staff is friendly and helpfull. The metro station is only at less than 10 minutes walk. We recommand this hotel and hope to go back for our next trip in Paris.
Truly Lovely Hotel
from abens9
I want to say in the beginning that I was a bit worried about this hotel given the reviews I saw here - - but we gave it a go because we got a fantastic deal and it certainly LOOKED nice from the website. Firstly, it is in a really wonderful part of Paris. Lots of shops, boutiques, flower shops, fruit stands, etc. A great place for people watching the Parisians in glorious action! I am amazed and frustrated to see that others have complained that the Eiffel tower is a "hike". It honestly makes me wonder how much walking they do in...

Very disappointed :(
from dia81
Me 25, and my husband visited Paris for the first time in May last year. We were looking for a cozy, not big named hotel, as we wanted to feel the romantic Parisian atmosphere. We were tempted by the great pictures of Trocadero La Tour Hotel. It seemed like the perfect choice until we arrived ..... We saw the cute, charming place with flowers on the window terrace, but boy If I have to describe this hotel on the inside with one word, it would be- claustrophobic. Everything was small, the room we stayed in, the terrace we had continental...

Charming, Parisian and Quirky
from Jonnoh64
NOT anything like a Marriott or Hilton and it is fairly graded as two or possibly three stars. We thought it was charming, authentically Parisian and set in a nice neighbourhood. It isn't particularly close to the Metro (about a 15 minute walk) but, call me strange, I didn't mind walking fifteen minutes in a Parisian neighbourhood. It's also about 10-15 minutes' walk to the Eiffel Tower which some (out of shape?) might find too much as the return walk is generally uphill. We stopped for Café and a croissant en route. There's also a...

Simply Charming!
from jgblight
We just returned from a three day stay at this charming little hotel not too far from the Eiffel Tower. We can't say enough about how wonderful they treated us. It's location was ideal. We were in an upscale neighborhood, with loads of little shops in the area and even a little indoor mall only a block away. it was close to two Metro stops and within easy access to Gare du Nord. We spent New Year's Eve at the Eiffel Tower and never had to worry about getting there and back safely and quickly. The hotel was small, but so elegant. Our room...

Charming,Clean, Nice Choice by the Eiffel Tower
from ASB2006
This was a hotel we stayed at in November. Typically small like most European hotels but we liked the fact we could have 4 twin beds in one room ( mother and sisters travelling together). VERY nice bathrooms, very clean, older furnishings but lovely lobby. Staff very polite and helpful ( they even sent me back a cell phone I left in the safe). Great neighborhood. A patisserie around the corner has the BEST pastries and coffees. Charming buildings. Seafood restaurant down the street was one of the best meals we had in Paris. Impossibly small...

A Charming, Clean, Safe Hotel
from oneLten
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Trocadero for three days in mid-April 2006. The hotel is in a very nice, upper-class residential neighborhood in the center of a shopping district. Within an easy five minute walk there are numerous small shops, an indoor mall with a supermarket, several cafes, bistros, and a McDonald's for homesick Americans. The metro stops for the #9 and the #6 lines are an easy five to seven minute walk from the hotel. The Eiffel Tower is probably a 20 minute walk down a hill and across the river. The staff...

Ok, but spend the money to stay somewhere else
from PickyWorldTraveler
Negitives: Ok here is the real deal, no matter what the pictures show on the internet the rooms are terrible. The carpet is old and looks to be infested, the beds were terribly uncomfortable and the shower went from hot to freezing the whole time. Although the location is good and it is in a nice part of town I would have paid more to stay somewhere with a nicer room. The paint is peeling off the walls the rooms smelled, the hotel really needs to be updated. The whole time that we were there they were doing construction on the room...

Also disappointed in this hotel
from ricbre_98
My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Trocadero La Tour on 10 and 11 March 2006. I agree with the other reviewers that the room we stayed in doesn't look like the picture on the Web site at all. Our room (Room 14) was very small, with a full-size bed. The wall paper was stained in places and in general the room was very shabby. The carpeting and bedspread really needed to be replaced. Our room was on the first floor and the walls didn't block out sounds from adjacent rooms at all. At one point I heard someone in an adjoining...
