Located some way out of the centre of Stockholm in a residential suburb. The Birger Jarl is a well appointed hotel furnished in a contemporary Swedish style.
Rooms are large and well appointed with large(ish) bathrooms and warm fabrics - ideal in the biting cold Swedish winters!
Getting into the city centre is possible by foot or by bus or tram. The nearby eating places and bards gave us plenty to do after dark and given the freezing temperatures the nearby watering holes were well placed!
All in all a good quality hotel that can be pricy, though Sweden isn't really a budget destination. Good quality and stylish rooms in a well appointed and well located hotel!
