Caesar Park Penha Longa Hotel

I stayed at the beginning of March for 12 nights, in a Executive Suite. Everything was up to the high standards of Ritz-Carlton chain. Very good food, excellent service, beautiful SPA, gym and swimming pools, kind staff. The two golf courses (9 and 18 holes) are beautiful and challenging, well kept and reasonably priced. I would definetly return.

Pehna Longa is everything you'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton. Well appointed, modern spacious rooms in immaculate condition. Great food. Overall the hotel is nice respite from Lisbon, but very easy to get into the city. We rented a car and then drove to Estoril and took the train into/out of Lisbon. This hotel is suberb from many points of view - we went to play golf and the Atlantic Course there is tremendous - beautiful views, wonderfully kept and challenging for any level of player - there are also a number of other courses locally which are very different but equally excellent. My wife, son (7) and I stayed here for the third time in 18 months in October. The weather was awful but the hotel was fantastic. We stayed at Penha Longa for a week in September and it was AMAZING! The hotel is in a stunning setting and lived up to the reputation of the Riz Carlton brand. We had an amazing room and the golf course was great. My boyfriend has played golf for nearly 20 years and really liked it! Me & my wife stayed here for 3 nights, for our wedding anniversary in July 06. As we drove up to the hotel on a lovely sunny day, the setting was breathtaking. Wow the 360 views of the forest and golf course with not another building in site. Exclusive 5 star and no mistake. Chic Portuguese more than full on Ritz Carlton but best hotel around. It's quite the luxury oasis. We stopped off for cocktails at the Mirage in Estoril but Penha Longa carries the swing (golfing pun fully intended) without doubt! Location: The wind it do howl, and one half expects the pine forest wolves to croon along in unison to the veritible wind orchestra being conducted in the bathroom. AN excellent hotel in an excellent location I would recommend this hotel. It is spacious, clean, has excellent facilities and if you book at the right time on their own website you can get fantastic value breaks....go there!

Nestled among verdant hills and a championship golf course, this hotel was wonderful. Away from the hustle, bustle and dirt of Lisboa, the location offered a perfect base for day trips to the historical towns in this part of Portugal. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless and modern and the restaurant was one of the best in the area. We had a wonderful six days and will definitely return.

Just spent a week at the hotel for a golf week and loved it for the following reasons 1)Rooms: Looked newly refurbished in a sleek minimalistic style with a lovely marble bathroom with a seperate shower, bath and loo. The rooms were a good size - probably approx 35-40 m (and i was in the normal room).
