Just come back from Elenite and really have the holiday blues. I loved every bit of it. I am a vegetarian and ate so much-alhtough they did keep putting ham or fish in salads!! The staff were so friendly and kind, everything was redicously clean and the animation staff were amazing even if their enthusiasm did take some getting used to. I recommend this to all families. My kids loved it also. I was really worred after reading some of the reviews but none of it is true. I kept wondering why it was so cheap!

It is not a 5* bt its not a 1* either.
This holiday is for a break more then anything, its ok if u like walking or getting the bus down to sunny beach. make sure you get the right number bus back.
When arriving here i was with a friend and boyfriend with his friend. it was around 5am u get pickd up from the coach on golf buggies to the reception of elenite. the hol vil is made up of 3-4 hotels. the villas or in the middle. my boyfriend and his friend went on one and me and my friend on another. my BF did get taken to another hotel on accident but we soon found him again.Just make sure you hold on the are erm lets say crazy DRIVERS!. when arriving the ladiee was very nice and they even give u a bag with some food it is not much but its good for them to do it. i think it a bottle water a role a crossiont etc. Then after waiting around for another buggy each for us they take you to your room. but be-aware they expect a tip we just closed our door and headed to the boys room and closed the door on them as the are quite irratating, they did not like that you dint give them a tip! the rooms are not villas just a room and a bathroom. but the views are amazing its just the beach and sea only a walk way inbetween witch is just from your villas pretty much. The food wasnt to bad it would of got annoying if i had stayed 2 weeks. you could always get something you like. The cakes where amazing. and the beer is there own bugarion beeer but my n bf loved it we had been to sunny beach in a diffrent hotel the year before and missd the bear. you can get snacks all day from the toastie man by the pool or from the two men in the pirate looking ship thing and get a hot dog they did however look like the chuckle brothers but ever so polite little english but polite. we also used the Spa underground as i was 6 months pregnant and it was something for me and my bf to do do and it was beutifull. it was end of season so the club was a bit dead. the kidz animation team where good and i dnt blame them for having a tips jar. u cn also book with one of five i think was 5 of the all inclusive restraunts, or eat in the main dinning room. we wishd we had taken more advatage of the restraunts but never mind x

we spent 2 weeks there in August/ Sept 2008 on an all inclusive First choice holiday. Our room was beautiful with stunning views and the resort and weather spot on. The only let down was the restaurant and food. Cracked crockery (if there was any) shortage of cutlery and dreadful food. We lived on Chicken nuggets and chips for 2 weeks. We did put a complaint in to First Choice in the end, when had a mug of coffee served me with the hugest chip in. Took photo of it for the. We would go back there as can cope with starvation for a couple of weeks.

Myself and two friends went on holiday to the elenite villas last year. Now we are currently looking at re-booking for next year, when we cam across these ridiculous reviews.
Elenite has a gorgeous setting, with a fab beach and lovely views. Out of our villa we looked straight onto the sea, not even a road or a building between us.
Elenite operates as an entire holiday village, in which if you are all inclusive you are allowed to use other hotels facilities in Elenite such as the pool and drinks. As the entire area is private, you are able to enjoy your free drinks while on the beach, which you will not get in other AI hotels. The free water park is much better than brochures explain, which is round the corner (normally chargeble unless you are stopping in the Elenite holiday village).
If you are looking at going here because you want a holiday in Sunny Beach, then this isn't the place for you, as it is a fair distance away.
For the price you pay for, you would struggle to find the facilities offered with other AI deals to the same standard. Unlike other AI, there seemed to be no restriction on drinks i.e. you could take as many as you wanted from the bar. Finally its good if you like pannini's but you've got to like cheese and ham, if you just say cheese the pannini man is lost!

oh my god went here on the 28th of september for a week and it was the worst holiday that ive ever had, on the second day of arriving they closed the water park then every day after that they closed something else. the staff at this place are are the most rude and arrogant u will ever meet, because we were there 4 the last week (something we wernt informed of by the way)they looked at us like we were the scum of the earth . and the food was so disgusting cold pasta cold every thing and it was the same old thing day after day. the pools were green cause they turned the water filters off mid week. i underatand that things slack off at the end of season but 2 close everything and 2 make us feel like out casts just takes the buiscuit, this place could b lovely its set in a lovely location but the standards here are 0 please belive all the bad comments that people write about this place because they r all true. this place needs shutting down

stayed Sept 09 for 2 weeks, having just come back.Very nice complex and very clean.Downfalls as follows:
food repetative, cold and kept running out of things.I.e no butter, no eggs of any desciption on the last two days we were there. The one and only toaster did not toast properly, building up long queues.Pork and chicken was very pink, not cooked properly, could cause food poisening,so we never ate the meat. The only potatoes were chips.
The toasties in the snack bar by the centre pool were ok unless they ran out of cheese or ham .The pizza restaurant was permantly closed.Live cooking station was on for a few days then completely vanished for the rest of the holiday. We went out in the evenimg on six occasions just to get a good hot nice meal. The restaurant tables were never cleared and cutlery never reset ready for the next guests and the tablecloths were filthy. The staff wore scruffy trainers or shoes and looked untidy.I complained to the restaurant manager who just shrugged his shoulders.
One evening one of the bars ran out of beer at 10.30pm and said there would be no more until maybe 12 o'clock the next day,ran out of white wine on several occasions, maybe due to the red wine being absolutely disgustting and they kept running out of glasses and served it in plastic beakers(ok by the pool or on the beach, but not in the main bars). The pool bar at Royal Bay was not manned one day due to it"being the barmans day off". The staff were so aggressive, miserable and unfriendly, shaking the tip jars and suggesting not to serve you if you did not tip.I went to bureau de change at reception one morning after breakfast and the young girl in attendance was slumped over the desk asleep. I had to wake her up.Sorry I could go on and on.
Definately no where near 4* and think it should be seriously inversigated.
Would go back to Bulgaria to Sunny Beach where there is an excellent variety of good food restaurants.

We went to elenite and stayed in Hotel Royal Park in 2008,
Overall we thought it was a excellent holiday except for the wasps- which were around the outside bar.
Not alot of entertainment on anevening but if your kids are like ours running around all day they were ready for bed at 11pm and up again early morning for more fun.
The kids enjoyed the waterpark which had slides for all ages.
FOOD:
there were many places to eat eg:pizza bar, hotels- could eat at any hotel across the area for free, ice creams available all day, toasted sandwiches and many more.
At the hotel the food was great always enough choice allways some kind of meat along with fish, veg ,salad and usually chips. We all enjoyed the food i dont know why people go on about it being cold and not cooked properly coz it was always fine for us
BEACH:
The beach was excellent for all the family and the kids and dad loved the massive waves
and there was always a lifegard on duty there was also a flag they would change according to the weather
RED: strong winds just swimming
ORANGE:No floats allowed
GREEN: Everything allowed
SHOPS:
IN the hotel there was also a small shopping centre with verious shops clothes shops, bag shops, jewellery shops, sevrell food shops and dvd store and console shop
i would recoment this place to everyone i know its great!!!

Just returned from a 14 night all inclusive holiday at elenite holiday village, first impressions where quite good, but after a boring flight with balkan and a less than pleasurable transfer which seemed to take an age, we didnt need a bell boy to take us to our room on a beach buggy with no lights in the dark as it was 4am with an attitude problem, once in our room he was less than pleasant and then was insulted at a 4 lev tip(£2) which he said was nothing to him, so to get rid rid of him it cost 10 leva (£5) so i wasnt best pleased cos he scared us half to death. 1st day breakfast was a shock to our system as everything was cold and wasnt really apealing, then lunch and dinner were even less appealing,,, the food in this place is simply awful. Everything is either luke warm or cold, there was a microwave but the ques were long so it wasnt really worth the bother,we were simply just sick of chips, broccoli, sprouts, undercooked meat luke warm soup, and tasteless salads so anyone with special dietary needs u have no chance at a meal. The place itself is really very nice and spotless clean but so much effort is taken on appearance of the place that the little things like customer satisfaction, pleasantness and politeness to the guests was overlooked, the staff in this place are simply rude and impolite especially in the royal bay hotel, stefan the bartender defo needs a personality transplant. He seemed to hate serving drinks and if u asked for a coffee he would growl like a bulldog on heat. If u have walking problems or children in buggies give this place a wide berth as it is steps, steps and even more steps. And in bulgaria tipping is expected but this place is something else, u have to tip ur bell boy to get u to your room and tip him when he picks u up, u need to tip ur cleaner, then ur waiters. U bartender wants tipping, then ur kitchen staff, the waithers like tips, the barstaff in the restaraunt want some, then all the beach and pool bars want tips. The icing on the cake was when the animation team ( entertainers ) came round with a big tip jar on a afternoon when really they should be doing the game advertised on the animation board so this place is gonna cost u, it wouldnt be so much of a problem but they hardly make u feel welcome, overall in 14 nights it must have cost me 100leva in tips so be warned. Lastly the all inclusive package is ok but if u wanna play bowling, crazy golf, tennis or pool its gonna make a big hole in your spends. Golf is £6 and hour per person, tennis is £10 per hour per person, pool is £1.50 per game and bowling is £5 per person per game so the place aint cheap. So overall this is not a good holiday and to us it was hell after the first 7days, food is boring cold and repetetive, the staff are rude and grumpy and all these people want is ur money so if i were u give this place a wide berth.

what do people want from this place,i found it an excellent choice especially for family's its has a private beach for village guests there is a water park within the resort which you can use for free and the kids loved it.
there was ground staff every were every day cleaning many didn't speak English but tried to say hello, most of the other staff looked miserable but that didn't make a difference to my holiday.
the rooms were nice and clean but small and cleaned every day,the restaurant was nice free beer, wine and soft drinks with your meals different choice every day (i am a fussy eater but there was always some thing). most of the time the chips were cold but we just popped them in the microwave, the only time we has ques was at breakfast for eggs or pan cakes but what do you expect from one chef cooking for all those guests !
there was a animation hall with shows on every night daily entertainment programmes, the bus was only 3 lev to sunny beach which i had found had really hiked the prices since last there 2 years ago.
there are numerous pools in the resort a play ground, shops and computers there are even themed restaurants to try.
i would recommend this place for family's looking for a more quieter holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

As the title suggests, it does.
Have just returned from Elenite and found the resort to be much better than expected, having read some of these reviews.
We had 2 weeks on site and were very pleased with our choice of Holiday.
We have nothing to complain about; the weather was lovely, the food and drink were fine and granted we didn't partake in much of the 'entertainment' we still thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bulgaria.
The staff were never 'rude or surly' towards us. Perhaps smiling, saying hello with a few pleases and thank yous thrown in helped. The British were probably outnumbered 30 to 1 by the other nationalities and therefore the 'cuisine' was probably tailored more towards their tastes. Yet i found plenty to eat that i enjoyed, my wife who is Vegetarian did likewise.
Choosing to have breakfast at half 7 and dinner at 6 probably avoided any queues, because we never found the dining hall busy once. Never managed to do lunch - too busy having fun in the Sun so cannot comment about that.
But drinks and snacks were always available when we required them. Just be aware of the 'Russian' measures in the spirits - G+T was usually 9 parts Gin to 1 part Tonic! hic! :-/
All in all we would recommend going to Elenite and would certainly go back.
But not for a while - there's too much World to see and so little Holiday time to see it.
Dave and Joy
p.s Our All inclusive holiday price was comparable with most self catering deals from around the Med. We never expected 5 Star luxury for 3 Star prices and were therefore not disappointed! So obviously, you pays yer money and you takes yer choice. Go and find out for yourselves :-)

Just returned from a fortnight at Elenites with my husband and 15 year old daughter. The only good thing about this place was the weather and the pool. We stayed in a villa which was basic but clean. The whole complex was very clean but the staff weren't very friendly. The food was always cold and repetitive. The waiters in the restaurant couldn't have been any slower in clearing tables. People were standing around waiting for up to 10 minutes for a table to be cleared whilst waiters strolled past. The entertainment at night was non existent and the only thing to do was to walk up and down. The bar closed at 10 o'clock and you had to go up to the lobby bar which was only small.I enjoyed the holiday but I won't be going back to Bulgaria because the people aren't very friendly unlike the Greeks who will be getting my custom again next year.

Just got back. We were quite worried after reading the reviews but needn't have been.
The view was superb, the rooms were spotless, the food was wonderful, and the staf were helpful and polite.
The complex felt very safe and there was plenty of variety.
The only complaint I had was that people were allowed to smoke indoors without being challanged.
