Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa Hotel

This was the most disappointing 'luxury' all inclusive I have ever experienced. It is anything but luxury. For beginners most of the staff cannot speak English which means you cannot make your needs known clearly. The rooms do not have dressers for clothing. There are just a few shelves available in a closet inconveniently located next to the door. The balcony has barely enough room for one body and the ledge is above eye level for most people. The food at the buffets is very average and the meat dishes are of poor quality.
My travel mate had a pair of pants laundered. They were lost by the staff. The hotel offered to make monetary compensation for the loss but made it very clear that the money would be deducted from the employee's pay. This is, of course, totally unacceptable.
My room faced the main pool and ocean. One evening at 11pm a beach party was begun by the staff. This included a sound system with recorded music and a dj. The sound was so loud that closing the doors and windows had no effect. I complained to the front desk and was told that this would continue until 2am. Finally we went to the front desk where another guest was complaining about the same thing. The clerk insisted there was no manager available but after pushing the matter he appeared from a back office, he was dismissive.
I cannot over emphasize how poorly managed this facility is. If you are looking for luxury go anywhere but the palladium. It is strictly designed for mid budget travellers who do not mind being treated like garbage.
