I took my mum here in June for a well earned break and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is right opposite a wonderful sandy beach to the rear - with cafes, shops, and small bars to the front. All rooms face the sea and have balcony.
Residents tend to be 40 plus and the evening entertainment is low key (mostly duos or bands) which is exactly what we were looking for. If you want great nightlife and busy bars, this is not the place for you.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
As with most of Cala Millor, the hotel is very popular with German tourists and also Spanish, but we found everyone very friendly and there wasn't much sunbed reserving going on. The pool and decked surround were right opposite the beach with direct access to the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Pool towels are supplied with a small deposit.
The food was the usual buffet style, but above average compared to over 4 stars I have stayed in. There was an enormous choice, everything was very fresh and hot, and there were many things cooked to order.
TIP: You keep the same table at dinner and breakfast for the duration of your stay. There is a small terraced area outside the restaurant which people tended to avoid in case of bad weather. GET A TERRACE TABLE! It’s wonderful to sit there facing the sea while enjoying your meal, and if you do have a chilly night or rain, the waiting staff are happy to find you a spare indoor table.
The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean and of good standard, although could probably do with redecorating in the next year or so.
On the whole, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again next year.
