Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta Hotel

Was here over XMAS.My room had a great view of the large heated pool and the very good beach from a nice balconey with a flowering potted plant. The room was clean and my maid provided me with everthing I asked for including 4 extra pillows and wash clothes. They did charge for coffee in the room for the coffee maker. I appericated the convience of a fresh brewed cop of coffee at my convience despite the small charge. iI bought some tea bags in town and the hot water was in fact included in the room price. This was our 4th trip tto P.V, and the worst. The walls in the rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. Our room was on the 7th floor, about mid way down the hall, and you could hear the elevator every time it stoped on our floor. They was redoinf the 1st floor, so you smelled paint all the time, and this was over Christmas. If you like ALOT of chicken, the foods ok, but gets old. I am amazed at the classification of this hotel.Some articles say 5 star ,some say 4,I'll go out on a limb and give it a 2.We were booked to stay a week and after enduring 3 days there we finally checked out and went to Paradise Village.The food was terrible at the buffet,looked like as my kids called it "green slop,brown slop and yellow slop" they would get creative on other days and reverse it to "brown slop,yellow slop and green slop" but never did we have a meal that we even said "that wasn't bad".We "upgraded" to a suite which by the... more

My 2 kids (10-12), husband and I enjoyed a week at the hotel from 7/15 - 7/22. Our junior suite on the 17th floor had an awesome view of the ocean and further towards the left we could see downtown Pto. Vallarta. We did the All-Inclusive Plan...the food was good for an all-inclusive and the drinks (all you can drink...mai tais, margaritas, cerveza, etc.) was worth getting the AI plan. I spent two days in Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta ( 21-23 July 2003) and only I can say is: dirty beach without any palapa for sun protection, dirty sea, bad food, bad service... all terrible, never to return.

This place needs millions in repairs. We were to stay there July 18 2003 but just as soon as we checked in we checked out! The staff is very nice and helpful but i think they know this place is a dump also. Thousands of little kids in the pool. The food was so bad i would not want my dog to eat it. You always get what you pay for so spend a little more money as we had to or you will be very sorry!

This review is of a weeks stay at the Holiday Inn, Puerto Vallarta. The dates were May 1, thru May 8, 2003. About a year ago me and about 20 other girls and our moms took our graduation trip here. The hotel itself isn't much, and the rooms weren't very good, but the ocean view was decent. We all loved 2 of the guys that we met that worked there, their names were Carlos and Esteban, they showed us a really good time and even went to the clubs with us at night- it was part of their jobs but it was still fun. Our family of 3 kids (9-16) and my wife and I enjoyed a week at the hotel. Having read one review here we were ready for anything. NICE surprise thus with the rooms (had a corner balcony and an anjoining room for the kids). The food was good for the all inclusive. The drinks were fine again considering the bottomless limit. The week had numerous activities provided. The Holiday Inn in Puerto Vallartaj is the best hotel I've even stayed in and I have travelled fairly extensively. Everything from the great food, beautiful tropical grounds, the entertainment, friendly, helpful and accommodating staff are outstanding in every respect. The location on the main beach, hotel zone is wonderful. Views from the hotel of the long beach, beautiful hotels and the lights downtown at night are breathtaking.
