Good value basic hotel
This is a basic hotel but the prices reflect this ad it's good value. It's in a good location in Faro and has free parking. The hotel is quite old, but the room was clean and tidy as were the communal areas. The lift was dated but it did its job. The continental breakfast was adequate and to be fair we were offered more choices but we were limited for time. The receptionist was wonderful - she was very friendly, helpful and attentive and provided us with a map of the area and information about the sights. I couldn't fault our... more
So it's only a 3 star, but you get a bit more than you pay for here.
Excellent situation, convenient for the old town and close to the market and supermarket. Very good resturant just across the road.  In fairness the breakfast options were a bit limited, but there are plenty of opportunities to top up nearby!  The room was serviced very well daily, Reception was helpful when we arrived 4 hours before check-in time. We have stayed in 4 star hotels that were a lot worse than this. (One in Barcelona springs to mind) At the time of our visit there was a pair of storks nesting on the roof of the church on the... more
Good choice in Faro
Great hotel for a short stay in Faro. Don't expect wonders, but this is a delightful hotel with charm and character as well as decent rooms with great views at the back towards the sea. Rooms are dated and slightly worn but they have warm lime green coloured furnishings and lovely parquet flooring. There is a TV, ample storage, clean and comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. Parking at the rear for about 5-6 cars is very tight so get there early. Friendly staff and a great hotel bar with pool table. Couldn't ask for anything better for a... more
Pleasant stay, no complaints
Clean and adequate, Stayed in Room 302 at the front of the building the first night, which was a bit noisy. Asked to be moved the next day and this was done without any fuss. Room 303, on the other side of the corridor solved the problem. Male receptionist very pleasant and helpful. The female receptionist was not very approachable. A nice and very resonably priced restaurant nearby is worth a visit- Charruso Saint Antonio. I would stay here again.
Very Middling
Our experience with this hotel was badly coloured by our initial encounter with the front desk staff: "surly" and "not particularly thrilled to see us" sum it up adequately. Most annoying was the fact that they refused to let us check into room, telling us we had to wait until 2pm or 2:30pm for the room to be "cleaned" (it was around 11am when we arrived). Which would be somewhat understandable if the other rooms had been occupied and were unavailable - but they weren't. The hotel was essentially empty. Still they refused to let us check... more
Good hotel
We booked this hotel through laterooms and got it at a bargain price, 98 euros for 2 nights incl buffet breakfast. The hotel looks much better in reality than in the photos. We were able to check in at 9.50am, even though check in is at 2pm, which we were really thankful for. Nice sized room. 10 minute walk to the centre of Faro. I recommend taking the tourist train, which cost 4 euros per person. Well worth the money and it lasted about half an hour. Breakfast was adequate, croissants, rolls, breads, cheese, ham/salami, yoghurts, cake,... more
Nice hotel in good location
Ok hotel in close walking distance to the marina, train station and bus station. Room was ok, but the bedding was a little old and hard. I asked for a softer pillow but they didn't have any. As with a lot of hotels the phone was very expensive. I made four local calls lasting just a few minutes and the phone bill came to over ten euros.
Good Hotel
Stayed here for my last night in the Algarve. The hotel was ideal in the centre of Faro about 8 mins walk from the Marina and the Historic part of the City. Large bedroom and bathroom Clean and fresh. No kettles but this is the standard in Portugal but you can get one from the reception. The only meal available is breakfast but there is a good choice near by. The hotel booked the taxi for us to get to the airport which is only 10 mins so handy as well. In short a pleasant night and handy to view the city and i would use... more

Fabulous family run hotel. Felt very comfortable and the service was outstanding. The staff attended to our every need and we truly enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet. I would highly reccommend this property to anyone visiting Faro, Portugal.
