I think this is a great hotel(s) and we will be booking for our 2012 holiday! We stayed in Estival 2 but we used facilities for all 3 hotels - have to say 2 has the best restaurant and can get busy but really enjoyed 1's pool.
We arrived at 10am and rooms were not going to be ready until 12pm. This was fine - we out our luggage in the luggage room and got swimming stuff out and the next 2hrs went pretty quick! We got our AI bands at reception when we got there so we could immediately have a drink and something to eat!
When we got our rooms we were amazed - we had a duplex room - upstairs and downstairs with pool view!
The rooms were cleaned everyday and the bathrooms were very nice - complimentary shower gels, soaps, tissues and cotton wool and a hairdryer.
The restaurant was great - so much food I dont know how anyone can say there is nothing to eat! every breakfast lunch and dinner there are 5 stations of food - one being where the cooks stood and cooked fresh foods ie eggs in the morning and meats for lunch/dinner. Being a vegetarian there was limited amounts I could eat but there was always something. Typical spanish always adding meats to their pastas tho.
The restaurant could get very busy for dinner about 8pm but the waiters were there to help you find seats as this was tricky for a party of 7!
I have found this to be one of the best AI we have been on with a great variety for everyone. We ranged from 51-18months old including a teenager and there was something for everyone. My 4yr old and 18month old really enjoyed the kids play area. I was disappointed that it wasnt run by First choice but the hotel and so there was a lack of communication through language barriers esp as adults are not allowed in the over 3s area, but you can go in the under 3s which is jin the same area seperated by a metal fence.
The facilities of the estival are amazing - including the gym and the spa. If you get chance to go - DO! You have to pay for the spa though. It was my 24th birthday whilst out there are my inlaws bought me a spa treatment - it was heavenly, so very nice inside!
You can use the gym on the AI bands too... only til about 5pm i think.
The location is fantastic! right on the beach. Sadly no watersports but sthere are pedalos. Really nice well kept beach too.
Bus stop on the road outside - 20min busride to Portaventua. We went there (bought tickets b4 we went out there - saved some money) and it was great but even better would be to go to Aquopolis which is 3mins walk away and they have dolphins! We will be going there in 2012!
If you do get a bus - get a buscard from the tobacconist. €2 for the card and then can top up in €10s eg 10 20 30... money saver - all 7 of us went to Portaventura and back for €10. Kids were free.
If you do want watersports - Salou is only a cheap short busride away.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants along the front if you ever wanted a night out of the hotel but personally i dont see the need to - there are 3 restaurants to choose from anyway!
All in all i think this was a fantastic hotel set in a lovely place and will definitely be back!
- Advice: Use all 3 hotels and the facilities

Just come back today from this hotel and have to say I am disappointed. The pools if you can call them that are freezing and you certainly cannot have a good swim in them as they are tiny!! Kids pool was filthy and I know this as I sat in it one day and was disgusted how dirty it was especially with little ones playing in it. i.e coke cartons lying in it and bits of paper. Other guests have commented on the paper thin walls and I can tell you this is true! You can hear everything the room next door are doing and I mean everything! Including snoring etc................. Talking of noise, I can honestly say I have never stayed at a hotel were I could not sleep. This was due to the rubbish collectors coming at some ungodly hour to pick up the rubbish and then when I finally started drifting off, another one appeared some time later. This ruined my sleep and I can tell you I have never been so tired and so glad to see my bed when I got home! Don't get a room on the side of the Hotel as there is a driveway which is in constant use by all sorts of noisy trucks especially if you have little ones that need to sleep. Having said that the cleaning staff are very good and the room was very clean. The hotel is close to the beach which is a good thing and the beach is quite reasonable.
Now to the food. It was quite average but you would never starve. The food is very repetative and for variety I would recommend walking out of the hotel and going to a good restuarant. One we went to was The Waterfront which was reasonably priced and nice food.
I agree with some of the other guests that the reception staff were useless. You can't check into your room until about 3pm which was a pain. Also they never told us where the amenities were. So we had to work it out for ourselves. Also, don't rely on them for an alarm call as we booked 2 calls and they failed to materialise. You are better off using your mobile. The entertainment was absolutely awful! The acts were Z rated in all three bars. The only good thing about this hotel is the Spa which you have to pay for. But you can use the indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi for free between 10am - 5pm. After that you have to pay 10 euros. The rep did not advise of any of this and again we had to find out this for ourselves.
So in short if you are looking for a cheap break with a clean room, no sleep, no decent pool to swim in and rank food, this is the place to come. I will certainly recommend paying a bit more and staying somewhere a bit better as a holiday is supposed to be relaxing and not what this was.
- Advice: Get better entertainment.

We stayed at Estival Park 2 for a week in May 2011.The hotel is well run with great staff. It is always kept clean and tidy. But like anywhere will always have some minor faults.
The menu was a little repetative but even then if you can't find something you like from what's on offer, you must be a very fussy eater. You can get a bottle of wine with your dinner if you are all inclusive, you only have to ask and the waitress will bring it to your table.
If you want a really good snack, next to the bar they serve up some great toasted sandwiches or real sausage and chips, salads and more, and its open most of the day and evening.
Around the pool, sometimes the lifeguard is keeping control of the pool when he blows his whistle to take lilo's out of the big pool and into the childrens play pool, but what he never stops is the never ending squirting of water guns at people trying to relax around the pool. So if you want to relax quietly, dont get a sunbed around the edge of the pool, stay a little further back to stay dry. Sometimes its better to go to one of the other 2 hotels either side which are a bit quieter.
Great location, just a short walk to the beach and promenade, where there are loads of shops to browse through.
Evening entertainment is different every night, from magicians, acrobats and some great singers.
At reception the staff are also very good and polite. Easy check in and willing to help with anything you may need to know.
I would definately stay at this hotel again.

if u want rude staff ants in ur bed and food thats raw then this is the place for you. i just come back today and all i can say i couldnt wait to get on that coach!
FREEEEEZING pools, receptionists that dont tell you where your room is let alone where the restuarant is. walls that are paper thin you can he people snoring and what ever else people like do on holiday. ( naughty time ) rooms that have not been sanitised from previous occupants. i found a black toe nail around my sink. i complained about the ants in my bathroom i was told 'i have ants because i am dirty'!!
this is meant to be a 4* hotel well i can assure you that it is not a 4* hotel. you have a welcome pack in your room that is well out of date! broken tiles in the pool. all inclusive snacks have been left out all day uncovered where ants flies and other creepy crawly's run over it all day the cheese has actually gone see-through wher its been left out alllllll day not even chilled! i went with estival 1 as it had the water park included in the price i can assure u that you could go around the park in less then 30 mins, half the rides not even open and only 1 drink shop open no food at all!!! opening date was meant to be friday the 13th may but was 3 days late opening so as a "good wills gestur" i was given a free day pass at the spa, not knowing i had to pay for all the equipment which is mandatory to use in there. So if are considering coming to this complex after reading this GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

Rooms spacious and clean, apparently the mini fridge is not there to keep items cool (So say the reception staff). The bar, pool and dining area's are far to small for the number of rooms and guests. The dining room is on floor -1 and when you get out of the lift you are hit by noise from game machines and residents sitting in the small bar area. All Inclusive package is a joke majority of drinks have to be paid for. Parents drinking alcohol at 10am while their small children are in the pool totally irresponsible. All I can say it was just awful and I was delighted when the coach came to pick us up.
- Advice: Avoid it, go All Inclusive to Caribbean etc. will cost more but at least it's value for money

Just got home from estival park yesterday before i went i was quite worried as i had read some preety bad reviews so im going to give my opinion now- there are a couple of bad points we didnt think there was a lot on offer in the restaurant to cater for the english and it was always quite hectic and sometimes the food was a little bit cold also our room was not quite the four star accomadation we were expecting HOWEVER we had a fantastic holiday, the complex was always clean the staff were all friendly and the entertainment company was excellent, my children had the best holiday ever and are already asking to go back, there is always something on in the way of entertainment at night sometimes its a bit rubbish but your on holiday so who cares!! i will definetly go back to this hotel, and i would definetly reccomend it!!

Went to Estival Park 2 hotel in june 2010.. Hotel was lovely and clean and the staff where really helpful. The rooms where cleaned daily and the cleaners where really cheerful.. It was the first time we have done an all inclusive holiday and we will defo be doing it again. The food at the estival park was excellent plenty of choice and food was different every day. Drinks are great too and plenty of it.. The week we where there the entertainment was great the queen tribute was especially fab! The only bad thing about the whole holiday was the weather... half the week was hot and the rest was wet... but can not say anything bad about the food or the hotel..Would go again..

myself wife and 2 kid's aged 12 and 7 are just back from the estival park 2,
we had a super week there, the hotel itself in my opinion fell a little short of the 1 and 3 and the pool was not as nice,
but on the plus side we could use the other pool's as we did as they weren't as busy
all in all for my first all inclusive holiday i really enjoyed it the staff were super with both us and had plenty of time for the kid's who constantly pestered them for thr free kid's cocktail's lol,
snack bar was super and kept spotless by the hardworking staff
the room's were a little like an apartment rather than a hotel room but were spotless and comfortable,
the area was super really close to all attraction's ie beach, water park are both 5 min walk and theme park 10 min's in a taxi.
the only fault i really had was the restaurant food i thought some of it was hard to stomach unless you like strange fish and lot's of salad, also there was nothing that appealed to the smaller kid's for a choice of even chicken nugget's or something that the kid's might like it would be much better but i'd recommend this hotel but next time i'll try book either 1 or 3 just for the nicer pool area's

Just had a week at the Estival Park 2 and it was fantastic. We went all inclusive for the first time and would definately be looking at the Estival Park for next years holiday. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The room was cleaned on a daily basis, there were plenty of towels which were replaced daily. The buffet style restaurant was ideal for picky kids and it was nice to try new foods myself without worrying about the cost. There was even kebab on Saturday night which my eldest son had 3 helpings of!The snack bar was ideal for the kids. There was a good selection of snacks for all the family. The entertainment was good, only problem being we returned to the UK on the day of the Michael Jackson tribute so our 9 year old was not happy! We would definatley recommend it for families and after reading other reviews, wonder if we stayed in a different Estival Park! Excellent holiday. Very clean, goods food, nice people, nice food, free entertainment, what more could you want? Found a little cafe on the beach called Anns Beach Bar which was ran by a lovely English couple so if you are missing your Lattes thats the place to go.
- Advice: Excellent holiday would recomment it to anyone with kids

I have been to Estival Park 2 for two years running with my family.. a party of 8 the first year and a party of 3 the second year. on the first year my disabled grandma came with us and the hotel was amazing... they organised a mobility bike for her and looked afer her really well on any trip that we booked. on both years my disabled dad came with us and he again was treated really well... the hotel asks you not to take food to your rooms but as soon as they saw my dads condition they said it was ok as they understood that on some days he wouldnt be able to come downstairs.
the second holiday was a bit of a disaster for me as i had an infection in a wisdome tooth... this led to me not being able to eat drink or talk, let alone speak. the bar staff were amazing, one of them saw how much pain i was in and suggested that i tried some wiski... (im 22 and didnt know the old wifes tricks) and bless him he got the strongest stuff at the bar and told me what to do. this thankfully made a difference and i was able to go on two trips that i had previously booked. after chatting to the barman (which was very polite and friendly, and when i say friendly i dont mean flirty as i saw none of that) he vanished with me half a bottle of water, and came back with it half filled with wisky for me so that i would be able to take it on my trips with me.
The food is really good... granted it is very similar every day, it is cooked well and many of the locals went there for food (which in its self shows its quality in my opinion). the pools where cold in the mornings but warmed up during the day (although you will have to fight for a sunbed in the morning, they do empty by 1pm though), it is amazing for kids as there is an activity every day for them. the evening entertainment is steriotypical of a family resort but at least you have a choice of the three hotels so you can choose what takes your fancy.
unlike a lot of all inclusive hotels that i have been too this hotel had free ice cream and bottles of water(small and large) and a fridge in your bedroom which was perfect to keep the bottles of water cool during the night.
the location of the hotel is perfect for all ages as it is literally a 3 min walk from the beach and a few shops. as i said my dad and grandma are disabled and nothing was too far for them.
i recomend using the local train and bus system as it is really cheap and the drivers are really friendly.. you can also reach local markets etc without booking through anyone. there is a local market that happens right next door to the hotel once a week though so there is no need to go to the gypsy market as it is EXACTLY the same thing! (i paid the first year to go to the other market and felt a little dissapointed that the rep didnt tell me this before hand!!)
Overall both of these holidays were amazing and i would deffinately go their again. i really dont understand the 1 out of 10 ratings that are on here as there is no need for it. i am extreemely choosy with the hotels that i stay at and it does say a lot that i would personally recomend this hotel to anyone.
