Colina Sol Hotel

Myself and my boyfriend went to Colina Sol Aparthotel for one week in Sept this year, we had a lovely time!
Hotel - Our apartment was a one bedroom, with bathroom including bath and shower and a separate living area with a balcony overlooking the pool, which wasn't noisy even with a few children playing. We found are room to be clean and well looked after by the maids. The furniture was a little old fashioned but it was all in good shape and well kept. Kitchen was very organized with everything you could need a part from a decent kettle, but we just used a pan. Our balcony was slightly small but still large enough to sit on, and we had a TV – although the only English speaking channel was CNN but its free!
The pool area was large enough and had plenty of sun loungers, and was kept spotlessly clean! The outside painted walls were losing colour but nothing nasty or unsightly.
The hotel use lights in the hallways which save on electricity bills which means you will have to press the switch when you get off the lift to turn the lights on- not an issue at all!
Lots of information at the reception desk about day trips around the area - and they will book it for you! We did quite a few.
Beach - The beach is lovely! Very sandy and a short walk - But use the lift down to ground level otherwise its one massive walk down/up hill to the hotel!
Town - This is no over statement town is a good 20 min walk! Up and down slight hills with no real paths, it’s not an issue for us...we're in our early 20's... But with children or not being able to walk far could be a problem. Taxis are available and were a fair price we used them back twice. Note that the walk is poorly lit but perfectly safe.
Plenty of nice restaurants we loved the square area and Restaurant O Patio was lovely but a little pricier than most places. We also really enjoyed the Chinese further up the hill back towards the hotel.
We had a lovely holiday and thought the area and hotel was great for a 3*! We’d recommend it and would go back!

Great value for money apartments. Booked 1-bedroom apartment. When we got there they upgraded us for nothing to a 2-bedroomed 2 bath roomed apartment with fantastic large balcony & great sea-views.
Accommodation had been recently refurbished. Well- equipped kitchen with full cooker/oven, large fridge, and microwave etc., daily maid service. Accommodation is just a short stroll from a beautiful sandy beach.
It is located in a quiet area approx. 15 mins walk from centre of Carvoeiro but there are one or two bars and restaurants in the locality.
Great if you want a nice quiet holiday. Overall accommodation was great and we would happily book again with Alpha Rooms.
