just back from sun maris the food was terrible small portions you wouldnt give it to a dog. the staff where very unhelpful and creepy. the hotel is stuck in the back streets of nowhere. the swimming pool is about the size of a bath and dirty u can not see the bottom of the pool when asked for the pool to be cleaned was told "the rain will clean it" we stayed all inclusive and ended up eating out and drinking every night as we where only allowed a small amount of food and drink. we where made to sit outside in the rain as the lobby bar was... more

this hotel is disgusting the food is ridden with flies and you wouldnt touch it anyway because it is slops. the staff are all unhelpful and wont help you in any way or form. and if you have a problem and speak with a manger he will tell you to go and find another hotel. this hotel ruined my holiday

absolute nightmare. my advice dont go if uve ever watched the film hostel then this was it. rooms are so tiny and no storage. when u had a shower the bathroom flooded. it was so creepy. absolutely nothing edible total waste of money. quite a bit down a grotty dark back street. on way back at night some turkish guys tried to entice my teenage daughters into their car!!! way too secluded after dark. pool was a joke more like a large bath please no matter how little it costs u DONT GO

just come back from a stay at the sun maris hotel in turkey, and survived to tell the tale. the hotel seemed quite clean, the rooms are so small we couldnt unpack our cases as had no where to unpack them to!. the hotel swimming pool is more like a paddling pool and i am not joking, not only is it small but it is in the shade all day except between 2-5. but dont panic if you walk round the corner there is a pool above a shop which is what we used, you have to pay 5 ytl each to get in but get a free drink and you are in the sun all day. we... more

. We arrived and they did not know about our booking - which may not have been their fault - but whilst this was being sorted they said to help ourselves to breakfast - my daughter choose an egg and when she cracked it open it was black and mouldy inside. We showed the waiter and he just laughed. So we left immediately as we did not fancy getting food poisoning

Just had a week at Sun Maris in Marmaris. Would not book this hotel again. Must say the staff, especially Eddie are great, helpful and we had a great laugh with them. The hotel is very clean but the food is awful. and very basic. Mainly caters for Russian/Lithuanian people. Also you only get the sun from 2pm to 5pm. We found we had to go to the beach which is not far and ate out all day which was false economy.

This hotel is ok, the best thing is the staff, they are really nice and friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food is also very good, although there is a limited choice for breakfast. However the hotel rooms are very small, it is very uncomfortable for a family of four and probably better for 1 or 2 people. The facilities are not too bad, but again they are small. Also the hotel seems to have a lot of people for romania, russia etc. we were the only english ones, so it can be a nit uncomfortable

Recently returned from trip to Marmaris. We spent 2 nights in the Sun Maris before we were transfered to another hotel. This hotel is situated in a grabby backstreet of Marmaris. The only things going for it is the fact that it is clean and the food is ok. The room we stayed in was 3 metres wide!! The beds were small and very hard.
