Reef Club Cozumel Hotel

Nov 03 through Nov 10 2007 was a great week to stay at the Sabor. First the few cons: 1. Construction noise at a new hotel going up next door. Not Sabors fault but a lot of jackhammer noise. 2. Could not regulate the temperture in the shower. Cold or hot but hard to get anything in between. Now the pros: I honestly could not find anything else to complain about. Just got back from a week in Cozumel. This was our first trip to the island and it was wonderful. The staff at the Wyndham went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From the bell staff all the way to the housekeepers - most professional. (And I have worked in the hospitality industry and I realize how hard this is to accomplish) We stayed in the Sabor section of the resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling with out children. This hotel has the best staff hands down! We stayed at Sabor, the adults only part of the hotel. It's beautiful and the food and bars were excellent! I highly recommend this hotel for couples!!

I'll admit I was concerned after reading some of the reviews so I went there with that in mind. I was worried for nothing! I can honestly say that it was one of my best vacations, if not the best. Everything was perfect, down to the smallest details. The people were so accommodating, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily in the afternoon, and the food was amazing (especially the dinners). I spent a few months scouring the internet to decide where we should stay in Cozumel. It was our first time and I needed to fufill alot of expectations. I wanted to relax and spa, my boyfriend wanted a dive shop on property, and our friends wanted to have their first romantic getaway after having a child two years ago. To say this was an enjoyable vacation is an understatement. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Our check-in process took all of about five minutes and Ashley was more than helpful. We were escorted to our room in the Sabor section (adults only). This was our 3rd stay since 2002. Need I say more. The Wyndham Reef Club, north of the lobby, are low-rise bungalows (max 3 stories) layed out in such a way that most of the rooms have an ocean view with all having easy access to the beach. We've never stayed in the new area to the south. Wyndham Cozumel is the best hotel by far in Cozumel. The island itself looks awesome after Hurricane Wilma. From the airport all the way to our check out everything went smooth. We had an incredible view of the ocean, the staff is super friendly and the food OHH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently the brought in a new Chef and all the fod served is top notch! it is obvious the Wyndham Brand is helping!! We just got back from a 1 week stay at the wyndham.We arrived in cancun this trip and took the bus and ferry over to Cozumel.I have to say it was really painless and saved a lot of money by going thru Cancun.Ashley at the front desk was great and we were quickly checked in to a 3rd floor room in the caribbean section,with a partial ocean view.It will cost you an extra 2 dollars a day for a safe key.The room was a decent size with a very nice bathroom.Everything in the room worked well and had no problems with anything.They tend to clean the... more

Stayed at the Sabor section of the resort and found it to be quiet nice. The fact that security was more often than not at points of entry into this section was nice since some people would try to bring their kids over. It's an ALL ADULT section for a reason folks! There were two days the water was shut off to some of the rooms so that repairs could be made. But hey, if you were up by 9am or came in after 5pm to get a shower you were fine.
