Loved the Princess and will definitely go back!
from A TripAdvisor Member
We just visited the Acapulco Princess this May 2004. We had a really great time and definitely recommend going during this time of year when it is the low season because it was not busy at all. The not-so-great things: I can't really think of anything we didn't like. The only thing I'd say is that the furniture is a little outdated, but it is well maintained and the beds are soft, which is very unusual for Mexican hotels. I wish they didn't charge for use of the gym. It was a very nice gym, but we never used it because there...

The Fairmont Acapulco Princess is all that and some!
from nvr2late
Just returned we visited during the easter break. This is also a Holiday for the entire country. The beaches were very crowded and yet there was no hassle. The Acapulco Princess is simply a lovely hotel, we were told on many occassion that it is the best hotel in Acapulco. Of course, to eat there is a little expensive. It was cheaper to walk outside the gates and bargain with the local taxi drivers, the hotel taxis are much more expensive. It is about a 20 minute ride into town and the cost can range from $10-$15 each way. I would...

Beautiful old hotel
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed for 6 days this February and had a great time...the landscaping is beautiful outside (with 2 swans & 2 Flamingos) and the architecture is beautiful inside (Although it's about 30 years old). The rooms are average, but kept clean (who stays in on vacation?) My spouse & I agree the food was very good in all the restaurants, especially the Beach Club. We did, however end up with a VERY hefty room tab, since food & drink were pricey (Alcoholic beverages were about $8 each) If we had to do it over we would've chosen all-inclusive. The...

Very nice place, did not find the rooms to be that great this is a old hotel, but it's kept up. Great food not cheap. This was our first trip to mx back in 2000. So we were happy just to be there. The grounds of the hotels are beautiful. The staff is nice .

terrible stay especilly the location FAR from anyplace except the beach it was nice if you could beat the local vendors of your back the hotel was nice overall a bit costly but nice breakefest not good and costly TAXIES the worst had to bargin with to get anywhere especilly going into town about 25 to 30 dollars to get there the first couple of days then we bargined with local taxie drivers then we ended up paying 5 dollars but was a hassle to do this since were on vacation and taxies knew where you were staying at so dont tell them where...

Great place!
from jeffpea1
My fiance and I were there from the middle of December 2003 until after New Years! The hotel is gorgeous and clean, the food was excellent and the service was what you expect from a 5-hotel. There are five swimming pools and several bars/restaurants. The room we had was a junior suite, it was large and we had a great view of the ocean, the patio or I should say terrace was very large, the furniture and bed were perfect. The bathroom was marble and very nice, we had maid service twice a day which kept our room spotless. I wish the room...

Beautiful Resort!
from A TripAdvisor Member
I visited the Fairmont Princess and it's absolutely AMAZING! I enjoyed the tropical paradise surroundings, tranquility, and the beauty of the Mayan structured hotel. The hotel has spacious rooms with balconies and beautiful views. I had a wonderful time there because we didn't even have to leave the resort to have fun. My friends and I enjoyed refreshing cocktails at the swim up bar while relaxing under the sun. The hotel offers an outstanding golf course and a variety of activites like horse back riding. There's a discotheque also for...

It was great place to visit
from A TripAdvisor Member
The Princess is made up of three buildings, all three look like Mayan pyramids. It has a huge, beautiful lobby and several fantastic pools with swim up bars. One pool has a water slide. Our room was a good size and had a nice view of the ocean. Good food, little pricey though. The only bad thing was taxis rides into Acapulco cost about $20 U.S.D., so you might want to rent a car if you stay there.
