Had a great time
We spent a week there towards the end of February. We booked before checking this website and we a little concerned based on some of the reviews. Our experience was excellent. Check in and check out took 2 minutes each, no surprises. While to hotel is older, the room are clean, large and made up within one hour of leaving for breakfast. The water is purified (we bought bottled anyway)We had a balcony with an excellent view. Breakfast is with a bay view and breeze and is a la carte or buffet, your choice (we were all inclusive). Lunch is by... more
A very memorable experience:D
Our trip was from January 15-22. The hotel FIESTA AMERICANA CONDESA was great! 3 restaurants, one for each meal and the food was good and so were the drinks. Our room was clean, no bugs, air con was fine, bathroom was nice, balcony was a good size with a couple of chairs and a little table. The view was great. We were on the 10th floor. We were on the 17th floor at first but I asked to be switched to the other side hearing from other Tripadvisor reviews that the side that's facing the discos could be loud at night. They were very nice about... more
Don't even waste your time!
PLEASE DONT WASTE THE TIME OR YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!We spent 10 days over Thanksgiving and it was a disaster from the start....we checked in and had no air conditioning...it took2 days to fix it..and then the toilet broke, there is NO ONE who wil assist you,no one speaks English, and if they do,they pretend not to. Our Rep from the tour group didnt showup at the desk for the 1st 5days, so we had no way to transfer to another Hotel. The food there is horrible, lacked choices, and many other guests were ill from under cooked food. The room is... more
Do trust them
I made reservations through the internet in 2002 for a 10 day stay in 2/2003. When we arrived at the hotel, we first had to wait in line for almost an hour, then were told that they did not have my reservation. I produced paperwork and then they found the reservation, but we were not given the accomadations that were confirmed. Those accomadations would only come with more money and then not until the next day. We were treated very poorly by the front desk. We walked down the street to the Calinda Beach hotel and checked in and then returned... more
Sorely Disappointing
Booked through local travel agency to stay 10 nights over Christmas week 2003. Looked forward to relaxing, restorative family vacation with two teenage sons ~ which we did have but only after we switched from the Fiesta Americana into Fairmont Princess... ...after staying at hotel one night. The Fiesta America is located in downtown where pace is frenetic and noisy ~ even on Sunday. While the bathroom was nice, the less-than-clean room was small with small balcony overlooking very noisy beach and polluted bay; beds hard; no clock; no... more
Great Location
While the hotel has a great location, and it is possible to walk right outside the front door to shop, eat, etc., I also found the music from the open air disco at the next property was played at a ridiculously high level that prevented me from sleeping many nights. The food at the hotel was decent and moderately priced, although not cheap. The staff was accomodating and friendly. The room decor was subdued tropical, and not at all luxurious. The bed was as hard as sleeping on the floor. The pool area is quite nice, with a fantastic view. As... more
Great Place!
We had a family reunion the week of Thanksgiving, and this hotel turned out to be a wonderful choice. Although the Condesa is an older hotel, it is being maintained well. The all-inclusive package, which includes three meals a day and alcoholic drinks, is a terrific deal. Food was great, and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful (particularly Adriana Garcia at the tour desk). Three caveats: don't get a room on the north side of the hotel (the all-night discos will keep you awake), avoid the weekends (the hotel gets really crowded with... more
Excellent place to visit!!!!!
A group of us girls went there to relax recently. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right next door to bars, restaurants and exciting attractions such as the bungee jump. Shopping in stores as well as markets are all within walking distance. If you are there and are young and looking for a good party try the beach, it is a great bar right next door, and also the palladium! Great shows there! We had such a great time there during the day as well. There was always fun activities for everyone at the pool area. The staff at... more
Excellent, but I think we were lucky
Great stay at this property. We traveled with 2 kids and they enjoyed each minute of this vacation, we stayed at a room in high floor with an excellent view to the sea and the coast hotels (not the bars and clubs); at night we just heard the sea...balcony with chairs and table, excellent room, average mantainance. excellent staf, kids ate free all meals, breakfast buffet included daily, kids activities, pools for everyone...great. The beach is public, so we were there just for a few minutes a day, with the pools we had it. BUT... I think we... more
Will try another hotel next time
We will more than likely try another hotel next time. The service was great; if we were not satisfied with a part of our stay, they immediately fixed the problem. I have to agree with the other reviews; the food offered at the hotel was not the best. Although the view from the "adult" pool was spectacular, there were so many children. The location of the hotel was great! The rooms were mediocre but had a great view of the beach/city. There were many annoying salespeople on the beach selling anything from jewely to braids. The clubs... more
