Best apartments we have ever stayed...
9 / 10
Mar 2006, Mrs J G

Best apartments we have ever stayed in. Entertainment during the day & in the evening very well run thanks to Yoris!
Sa Coma is a lovely resort with plenty to do & lots of nice places to eat - we were spoilt for choice.
For self catering guests we recommend the hypermarket 5 mins walk opposite JJ's bar - it is a lot cheaper than the spar on the corner.
Do not go horse riding with the Safari hotel though - we did and it resulted to a broken arm for one of our party. Very poorly supervised and no head protection offered. Did point this out to hotel manager but trip was still advertised the following week.
Other than this mishap we all had a great time and would definitely go back.

The Safari apartments in Sa coma are...

Dec 2005, Mr M.S McAndry

The Safari apartments in Sa coma are wonderful, when we first arrived we couldn’t believe how clean it was.
The reception was so helpful in getting us checked in and explained everything to us. The activities are 2nd to none, plenty to do for the kids We tended to eat in Sa Coma most nights and walk along the promenade.
The entertainment is fabulous, to suit all tastes. My only concern is that we were out numbered by Germans, so if you enjoy a chin-wag you might not get much response.

Stayed for one week over the October...

Oct 2005, Other Lou & Gail Leverton & Duke

Stayed for one week over the October half term. The complex was spotlessly clean. We didn't get to see everything that was on offer because the complex is so big. Drinks at the bars were reasonable and good measures!! Most of the staff were very friendly with the exception of one who couldn't cope with the kids constant ordering of food and drinks.
We only had snacks at the pool bar but these were excellent and very reasonably priced. The children enjoyed the mini golf and pools and enjoyed the freedom to walk around on their own. Sa Coma is a pleasant resort with a lovely beach and plenty of restaurants, mainly British (but I would say Spanish owned). We found the resort very quiet in October (would be interesting to see how busy it gets in peak season).

Safari park hotel in Sa Coma...
10 / 10
Oct 2004, Mrs L Lawson

Safari park hotel in Sa Coma Mallorca, I can't rate this hotel and its staff high enough, 10 our of 10 just isn’t enough. This hotel is tip top, extremely high standard.
Food was excellent. There is a children’s play park at the back of the hotel which is exclusive to the guests, complete with a pool with a huge slide, this park is free to use (to the left of this is a huge hypermarket) . There is also a mini golf which is stunning, the views are lovely overlooking its huge pools. There is a large outdoor pool, several small pools just for the children, an indoor pool, an excellent gym. Small rivers run through the complex and these have fish in it, there are also peacocks roaming about.
The entertainment by the staff was terrific, mimicking the top shows such as Moulin Rouge, Mama Mia.
Thomson rep was first class.
I was unfortunate to break my ankle on the second day, and I couldn’t use my crutches, the staff arranged a wheelchair right away and the hotel was certainly big enough to manoeuvre around on it.
The room we had was huge, the bedrooms were twin bedded and we had plenty of room for the cot.
Sitting room had two long couches either side, a small kitchen with a table and chairs. They had a microwave also.
Plenty of cupboard space to hang your clothes and a lovely bathroom. There was also a huge balcony at the end of the sitting room with patio doors. The electricity works by putting your key card in a slot so take a Tesco loyalty card - or similar, put this in the slot by the door and the lights and air conditioning will stay on, nice and cool for you to come back to.
The town itself was lovely, great restaurants and shops. The beach was spotless, there is a large field of horses just across the road from the hotel, they roam about, you are told not to touch them, its nice to walk through and you can get to the beach this way, or just follow the main road, its only a 5 minute walk. S'illiot is about a 20 min walk and that is also pretty but rather up and down if you go off the main promenade.

The holiday was "destination on...
8 / 10
Jun 2004, Mr G Bellingham

The holiday was "destination on arrival" so I didn’t quite know which resort I was going to end up in or the name of the hotel. As it turned out I was pleased with both.
Sa Coma is a most relaxing place to spend 2 weeks. It seems to be particularly favoured by couples over 40 or those with young children. So if clubbing into the early hours of the morning is what you are looking for then Sa Coma isn't really the place to be! It does, however, have enough English pubs to provide you with fun nights out involving cringe worthy karaoke performances.
The Hotel Safari is very nice. Again it is very family-orientated and provides lots of activities for children. Also, in the evening, entertainment is provided for all the family. This ranged from a very entertaining production of Grease, to a band singing some of Elvis’s classics in German. The food was generally good with sufficient variety provided. The staff were friendly, especially those who organised the activities for the kids.
Overall, if you are looking for somewhere to go and relax in the sun, or somewhere to provide entertainment for young families, then Sa Coma and Hotel Safari are certainly well worth considering.

Hi Just got back from holiday and had...
9 / 10
Jun 2004, Mr A Barkley

Hi
Just got back from holiday and had to get to this web site to tell you just how good these apartments are.
The Aparthotel Safari Park is excellent. We had 2 weeks here in June 04 and had a great time. The complex is huge and caters for all needs.
The apartment - is made up of 3 rooms, double bedroom lounge/diner & bathroom. It is very clean and modern with 2 sofa beds either side of the room with a large coffee table in the middle. There is a breakfast bar with cooker, fridge, microwave, elec kettle and all the cooking utensils you will need and TV with BBC1, ITV & Cartoon Network. A set of patio doors leads onto a huge balcony that has pretty flowers climbing the walls. Recommend requesting pool view as we did. There is full air-conditioning that is powered by your room card. Good idea for saving energy but bad for occupants once they leave their room. We took an old store card and left it in the slot for the full 2 weeks.
The hotel staff are very polite and the animation team there was very professional and put on some really good shows. There are seven swimming pools in total of which 4 are suitable for toddlers all very clean and warm. These are surrounded by lovely gardens and paths leading to sunbathing areas. There were so many loungers that there wasn’t any problem going down any time of day to get them. The complex also boasts a gym, 3 restaurants, a mini golf course, excellent adventure play ground for the kids, a gym and internet access - 1Euro per 20 mins.
The Kids disco or 'Proty Club' at 8.30 p.m. was great for our little 2 year old son. He ran ragged for an hour with the rest of the kids and collapsed for the rest of the night so we could enjoy the entertainment. This is held outside in an arena type setting between a huge stage and bar. If the weather changes they turn the stage around into a huge air-conditioned hall with a large bar at one end.
Really good place to go with kids as there is loads for them to do. Thomson had a good mini club set up with their own hut and pool, with excellent supervision.
The complex caters for all nationalities so if you do want to go to an all British Apartment this one is not for you. Approx 50% German, 10% others, 40% British. I get the feeling from visiting the local Coma Gran (all British) that you tend to get a higher-class accommodation when in a mixed nationality complex.
Sa Coma itself is a great little resort smack bang in the middle of Callor Millor and Silot - both 20-30 mins walking time from this apartment. The location of the apartments are ideal. The beach is 5 mins walk away and the shops & bars start just outside the front door. Places to eat - the Happy Restraunt, good choice of quality meals and very reasonable, also Delaineys that caters for those missing their curries. There a loads of eateries in the resort too many to try. Also Chinese Takeaways all over the place.
The shops are a bit tacky and sell all sort of resort rubbish, but the resort of Callor Millor has a vast selection of quality stores and only a short taxi drive away unless you want to walk it.
Hire a bike and cycle to the old Pirate look out (Castel type thing!) sat along the coast between C Millor & Sa Coma, then cycle into C Millor for the day. 8Euro for full day, hire shop outside apartments.

My partner and I booked our week’s...
9 / 10
Jun 2004, Ms R Delaney

My partner and I booked our week’s holiday 'allocation on arrival' on the Thursday and off we went on the Sunday. As we only paid under £300 each flying from Glasgow we did wonder if the accommodation would be the full four stars. At the airport in Palma we were told that it would be the Safari Park in Sa Coma. We knew Sa Coma from a previous holiday to the Bouganvilla there. The hour and fifteen min run from the airport was not a surprise. (We try to see this part as a wee tour in itself.)
Anyway, far from being the leopard print and zebra walls place that we thought it would be, it actually turned out to be a top class hotel set in its own fantastically kept gardens with ponds full of fish and peacocks with babies wandering around. The hotel was immaculate and the lifts all worked.
The Spar and Hypermarket were all handy. Although the Hypermarket was not at all far from the Hotel it would have been to far to walk in the heat. A taxi cost us 4.95 Euros. My top tip is to use one of the many luggage trolleys to get your heavy shopping to the apartment. (It was a very long walk to ours.) The beach had a relaxed atmosphere and no loud music blasting so for us it was bliss. They have very hot sun in Sa Coma!
Something we may have wanted to know before we went: You can take a short cut to the town if you cut right through the Hotel Badia which is just next to the Safari. Through the reception then the bar and on to the pool terrace then keep walking to the white gates at the bottom of the pool terrace.
We would certainly go back to the Safari.

The apartments are situated on the...

Jul 2002, Mrs J Bull

The apartments are situated on the outskirts of Sa Coma. Resort itself adjoins SIlliot and is only a short bus ride away from Cala Millor/Cala Bona.
Apartments were clean and spacious as is most of the protur group aparthotels on the island (the Vista Badia Aparthotel is just around the corner and is absolutely spotless) plenty of family activities around the pool during the day and a children’s club on site for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped and the air-conditioning working fine during the hot weather.
Ate mostly out at the local restaurants although did have occasional snack on site (a little slow service sometimes but we were in peak holidays).
Entertainment great, lots of Germans but had a great holiday.
