Stayed at Europa June 2011. Heard bad reviews but i had no complaints whatsoever. Nice, clean basic apartment. Woke the guy up at 4am (flight was delayed) but he was still very helpful even though he was half asleep and didn't speak much english. The bath had been painted which was odd, realised because it was rusty underneath, didn't bother me i found it funny. Clean towels on the 2nd day and last day. The maid mopped our floor and made our beds once. Nice clean pool. Wasen't 'Ant Infested' like alot of the reviews state. There are ants but not many, it is an anty area so cant be helped. Alot of yappy dogs around the hotel (think a breeding place was next door) so if alot of barking would anoy you i wouldn't recommend, didn't bother me though, dogs will be dogs. I liked Europa

We stay there and really really liked it,we went without the kids but will be going back for sure with them in the future.
and we'd stay at Europa again without a doubt, was so lovely and quiet... Perfect for relaxation we went mid may so wasn't over busy at the apartments which we really liked.we had a pretty view from our apartment,it was clean, perfectly sized, and quite cosy actually! and found it easy getting around as where it was situated was within great walking distance to everything.
Sa coma was lovely with lots to do also = )1O/1O overall

Theres lots of bad reviews on this hotel so we weren’t sure but it was the only one available for the dates we wanted, so had no choice really. We’ve been to Sa Coma before and really like it, it is one of the quieter resorts on Majorca and most hotels are within easy access to the beach. This hotel was fine, very basic but just what you would expect for a 2 star accommodation. The room was spotless and had a nice view of the swimming pool which was also very clean, I can’t bear it when you get to a hotel and find the swimming pool is grubby, not NICE but this was ok. The room only got cleaned once during our stay, we thought that was wrong but apparently its right perhaps it would have been nice for a change of towels and sheets but never mind, it was only 2 *.

After reading some dodgy reviews we decided to book these apartments as all we would be doing is sleeping there. when we arrived it was 5am in the morning and still dark, the receptionist handed us the key to the apartment and just left us, we were expected to find the room on our own with no lights. There were dark alleys and no lighting anywhwere, anyway we were dragging our cases round trying to find the apartment. When we found it we walked in and just sat down, the bathroom had ants from floor to ceiling and was definately not a 3 star. After spraying the ants we went to sleep and woke to more ants. We were there for 11 nights and whenever we went out or went asleep we would come back to ants everywhere. The cleaners cleaned the room twice in the whole stay they changed the towels and just made the bed, they didn't put clean sheets on and did not speak a word of english. she saw one ant and sprayed the floor, we told her the bathroom window and she sprayed the bedroom window. We didn't see the pool cleaned at all and whenever someone used the the shower at the pool the water from the sewage drain would run down the side of the apartments, it would stink!! The gardens was not maintained at all, they didn't water of cut plants it was just a mess. If anyone is thinking of booking these apartments i would suggest you re-think. They are not a 3 star and are not suitable for children the balcony had barbed wire which just lifted up any child could get under it and fall to the floor. NOT SAFE OR CLEAN!!!!!!!

The property needs a paint job on the outside and we had a small water leak in the kitchen area but it was very clean. Equipped with new mop and broom, towels changed 3 times in the week, sheets once. The people are very friendly and trying hard to learn some English but we managed just fine.
As you know Mallorca is basically one big ant hill so keep your floors clean and buy a can of spray for a euro and you won't have any problems.
We met the kind of people that complain there and they would complain in a 5 star. This is simple vacationing, it's quiet, clean, close to the beach and great for the kids if you're on a low budget.

we booked this hotel as we thought it was a good deal then we got home and read the reviews people were complaing of ant and [--] wipped all over the walls. on arrival to this hotel the reception was closed no 1 to be found waited an hour for someone to appear to then have a Language barrier as the only Language they spoeak is SPANISH!!!then to finaly be shown our room at first glance everything was oki BUT THEN.... when the woamn left all hell broke loose. for us to find ANTS in the wardrobe in the bath sink sofa bed/couch and coming out of the sockets on the wall and the head borads of the bed. and to conclude with the ANTS on our first night we bourght a bottleof coke and left it on the table with a loose top to find that when we woke up the floor table and couch was covered with ANTS. when we told reception they handed us some fly spray to solve this problem then waved us away but expected this spray back after we had used it for another couple to used. AND IF YOU THINK THAT THIS HOTEL COMES WITH A MAID THEN THINK AGAIN we went to these apartments for 3 weeks and our maide came ONCE!!! WE WENT TO RECEPTION 4 TIMES!! to ask for some clean sheets and towels to find the receptionist shakin her head and shrugged her shoulders at us. to get her to come up we had to sit in reception for 4 hours till she got the hint that we wanted her to come and see she FINALLY came up and as we pointed to our bed sheets she looked at us as if to say what is wrong with them we then had the argument of trying to get her to understand we had no maid, so no clean towels or sheets. in the end we took our towels and sheets and threw them into the pool so something had to be done she finally understood and we got our sheets this waisted a whole day of our holiday trying to explain the problems. AND IF YOU ARE THINKING OF HAVIN A NICE POOL DAY ON A THURSDAY DONT BOTHER YOU GET PUSHED OUT SO THAT THE RECEPTIONISTS FAMILY COME ROUND AND USE IT EVERY THURSDAY!!! dont know how they all fit when the pool is about the same size as our bath. ANOTHER problem was the cooker didnt work another language barrier problem. OH and to add to the list of the problems the balcony door was BROKE !!!!! As 17 year old we didnt feel very safe as when we arrived we opend the balcony door for it to fall on us as a result of this we had to leave the door open perched against the table and the whole time we were there no one botherd to fix it. if you want a safe you have to pay £25 euros a day and if you wanted a fan u have to pay £17 euros a day. so if you havent got the hint already we are WARNING YOU DONT GO !!!!!! AND IF YOU DO BE AWEAR OF EVERYTHING EVEN THE RECEPTION WHILSTING AT YOU EVERYTIME YOU WALK PAST AND THE FACT THAT THEY ONLY SPEAK SPANISH !!! XX

Just to say in defence of the europa apartments ok some of the outside needed a touch up but the inside has all been done, new curtains---upholstery---very comfy new beds---new fridge, smart table & chairs, balcony:s all over looking the pool which was a bit nippy but clean. My own little grudge was, that as I enjoy cooking, there are only two hob rings, a grill would have been handy!!Oh and the beds and towells changed four times!!

I had read so many horrible reviews on this website and I thought "oh everyone is probably overreacting" so we still went. Everyone was complaining about ants (which you can't really help) and the owners shouting at children, which I didn't feel would be a problem for me considering I don't have any kids.
Firstly, we were told that it had 3 star rating, and when we got there we saw 2 keys under the hotel name, but that was fine that wasn't the hotels fault, it was the tour operator (who I have complained to so many times it is really a surprise to me that I can't remember what they were called!!).
So we got there around 3am, went to our room and I saw hairs all over the floor. I wasn't impressed but I didn't feel it was urgent and would report it in the morning. I pulled back the bed sheet and saw that my bed was covered in hairs. Big long hairs from someone's head. On closer inspection there was also several stains dotted all over the bed sheet. So I slept on a towel and went to complain in the morning.
You should be aware that NO ONE in this hotel speaks english. We didn't know this so I went downstairs and tried to tell the lady there were hairs and stains on my bed sheet. She just kept nodding and smiling. So I took my sheet down and showed her, again nodding and smiling just gave me another sheet. No apology. She kept saying in spanish "we clean the rooms once a week, change the sheets twice a week", and I was trying to tell her that is not the point, the fact is you have not changed this sheet since the last person was here, surely it is common practice to do this? nevermind what day you are scheduled to change sheets, you do it after a guest leaves. Apparently not.
I also tried to tell her there were hairs on the floor of our apartment. After a lengthy "conversation" she said (in spanish) that she would check on our room within the next hour. We got back a couple of hours later and they had still not checked our room. So we asked her to come up with us, I showed her the hairs on the floor and in an angry and hostile manner grabbed the mop and demonstrated to me how it was supposed to be used (i.e. you put water in here and then swish this thing around on the floor..... ermmm i know how to use one but it's not my job!). So myself and my boyfriend cleaned our own apartment. Whilst demonstrating how to use a mop to me, the lady told me that they clean the rooms once a week (all in spanish, i managed to understand using some of my basic knowledge of french). Again I told her this is not the point and that the rooms should be cleaned after a guest leaves, although this was in vain as she did not understand a word of what I was saying.
Eventually I got her to send up a maid to our apartment and she knocked on the door and said in a rude manner "Sie?!", and I showed her the bed and the floor and she stormed out and never came back. A very rude family all in all. No care whatsoever for the holiday maker. And whilst dealing with all of this we had to put up with the old lady screaming "DANIELLA" (the maid) at the top of her lungs every 20 minutes. Ridiculous.
We eventually got a partial refund although it was no where near enough as far as I was concerned the family did not deserve a penny from me or my partner.
The swimming pool is TINY and the kids pool is more like a puddle.
So to conclude, DO NOT GO HERE and if you do, take a phrase book that includes phrases such as "there are hairs and stains in my bed" and "the floor is dirty". Oh and a couple who were there the same time as us said they found BLOOD in their bed!!!! Yes, blood. Absolutely disgusting, stear well clear. But go to sa coma it's lovely.

Hiya! I was so worried about going to these apartments after the reviews I had read. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find the apartment clean and tidy, yes it's very basic but it had what we needed for a week away. The maids came in once, they put some bleach down the loo, made the beds and emptied one of the bins (took about 30 seconds!).
The resort is mainly aimed at the German market I reckon, however there are quite a few English bars which played the old cheesy music and had karaoke and bingo. The best meal we had was at an Irish pub called Kenna's, really lush!
If you've booked to go here and are worried about it (I went armed with Flash wipes and everything!), please be assured that it is absolutely fine, basic 2 star accomodation. (The man at reception speaks a mixture of German and English, which is really amusing!). Have fun and enjoy the resort and the lovely beach, but be warned that each sunbed on the beach is 4.50 euro's, and it's another 4.50 if you use the straw umbrella thingies. Also, DO NOT buy any fruit from the people selling it at the beach: got charged 6 euros (£5) for a slice of watermelon!!!
Sorry this is so long, just wanted to reassure anyone who may be a worried as I was. Have a lush time and go to the Bingo Bongo at Britannia's!

Having read the other reports I was dreading arriving at these apartments but it is not quite as bad as some have reported, though it is not that good either. Basically I would compare these apartments to what you would expect in Greece 1*. To give a fair representation overall the whole area is run down and in need of updating. OUTSIDE: The ground areas are dusty, dry and baron, noticeable when compared to other developments in the street who have irrigation systems to keep the grass alive and lush, there is no grass on this one. The pool is old but looked clean. We did not use it because the concrete is flaking off the bottom. The lamps are broken and in a state of disrepair though the lighting was adequate. The owners were friendly and did give us a choice of two apartments on arrival. INSIDE: The apartment appeared to have been recently painted so was clean, the sheets and towels were also clean. Some of the light fittings were hanging off by wires but worked. The kitchen area was clean but with some ants and well equipped apart from a kettle which we took after reading about the charges for hiring one. The beds were quite comfortable though I did have a few ants climbing over my face one night and there was no smell in the apartment. The bathroom was the worst as the bath is painted with gloss paint that over time has peeled off in areas leaving parts of the original surface and other areas have lifted under which a few ants could be found. Certainly not suitable for use as a bath so those with young children should avoid these apartments. However there was plenty of hot water. The apartment was not serviced during our stay though we did ask for clean towels half way in which were given no problem. We asked for sheets to be changed which were promised but never materialized. We did not see any cockroaches but were were on the first floor so maybe a problem on the ground. We sprayed the room and entry points daily with ant/cockroach spray so we may have contained any problem in our apartment. Basically I was on a mates holiday so for what we paid we put up with it but I certainly would not stay here with my wife or children.
RESORT: The beaches are really good especially S'Illiot (15 mins walk over the bridge) and there are some very nice looking German hotels on the front but the main resort of Sa Coma is a mini Blackpool with tacky shops and even tackier English pubs. (If you want an English Pub stay in England). Nearly all the bars and restaurants appear to be owned by English couples so there is little Spanish about this place. The food is no better and to eat we travelled to Cala Bona each night after which we went to Cala Millor to find a half decent bar of which there are two. Overall I would not go back to either the apartments or the resort.

Booked to stay at Europa as a last minute deal, then read the reviews & thought OMG what have I let us in for? Well we arrived at 5am to find that there was only 1 apartment available (we had booked 2 being a family of 5) after a discussion in broken spanish (they dont spk English) my daughter & I agreed to spend the night in a sister hotel. Europa paid for this & the taxis there & back (was nice to find it was an all inclusive hotel). We came back the next day to our apartment ready & it was very clean. Yes u do get ants but if u keep ur apartment clean they are not a problem (just empty ur bins a lot). The bath was painted but wasnt a problem. The pool thou not huge was a reasonable size & was reasonably clean (and a spanish guy came round a few times to scrub the sides), although a few of the loungers were broken they provided 'mats' to put on them, but I wud & did avoid the poolside shower. They do not provide snacks only drinks & ice creams at the bar.
So in my opinion - They might not be the best in Sa Coma but these are 2 star apartments & I have stayed in worse 3/4 star hotels. If u want a cheap holiday & intend to eat out most of the time its really not that bad here & Id go again if I was to book another cheap week away.
