Club Sa Coma Apartments Holiday Reviews
Close to the plenty of local amenities, Club Sa Coma is a small and compact apartment complex. Located in a quiet area on a side road, it should appeal to couple and families. There is a free form style swimming pool, terraces with free sun loungers and parasols, and activities including table and pool tables. For children there is a kids section at the main pool.

I came to the club sa coma apartments in july 2004.

It has been by far the worst holiday i have ever been on.

Rooms got robbed regurlary and staff did not care what so ever.

There are so much better hotels you can go to for cheeper.

In the hotel there was chips in the tiles and hardly ever was there staff at the reception.

The rooms were disgusting.

I just want to add that if you were thinking of going here for a nice holiday think again because this is not for you.

Dont book this hotel ever.

For your own good.

thanks LM.

If I could give a minus figure I would do -10. Arrived early hours of the morning, given keys to room and went in. Oh my god the apartment had not been cleaned, the bed sheets from previous people still screwed up ready to be changed, rubbish in bathroom, main door lock could not be operated as door had obviously been broken into at some point and door frame all damaged plus mould on wall of wardrobe.

Got given another room and NO apology thou. Smelt funny but at 2am all we wanted to do was sleep. No bed sheets for my daughters so had to collect and make own beds. Woke up in morning and realised that the curtains had a big sick stain with bits on, plus bed was stained as well. The bath was painted with normal paint and flaking, excrement running down toilet, bath tapes green with mould.

Kitchen had only 1 saucepan and a lid for a second but no base, 1 spoon, 3 cups etc not enough cooking implements to self cater.

When we had arrived I managed to keep my young daughters out of sight of the 24hr Private service hotel opposite with the scantily clad girls outside looking for business. As I come from Ipswich UK, the town were the five working girls got murdered this was not a good place to be with young children. The description of the place looked promising on the screen at the travel agents but was not what we found.

Please do not go here unless you are desperate for an illness! or a really bad holiday!

Horrendous do not go to these apartments. Given filthy room as last people had left it. Then given room with sick all over curtains and mattress.

The bathroom was disgusting, especially the toilet, bath painted and peeling, rusty taps and shower. Poorly equipped kitchen; 1 fork, 2 knifes etc not enough for family.

To make matters worse it is opposite a brothel; causing our two daughters to ask numerous questions!

We insisted on being moved to another apartment that was in no way connected to these ones!

A holiday from hell, do not go!

Worst hotel I have ever ever seen. We were transferred from the Europa hotel to Club Sa Coma, they are both owned by the same people.

When we got up to the room, the overall impression was that this room was better than the previous, until we opened the bathroom door. The smell again was horrendous, the bath was filthy, and there were pubic hairs in the soap dish and again, hair all over the floor.

When we went in to the bedroom and turned the bed sheets down, one of the beds had a sheet on that was only half the size of the bed, the mattress had brown stains on which looked like blood stains.

The smell in the bedroom was worse than in the bathroom, it was so bad my partner was physically sick. We couldn't work out where the smell was coming from, we tried to slide open the balcony door but the door was stuck and the bottom came out of the hinges and we struggled to keep it up without falling on top of us.

There were so many mosquitoes in the room which we understand is natural in hot countries, we had sprays and repellent but we couldn't seem to get rid of them, they were coming from the bathroom and the bedroom.

When I opened the wardrobe door this is when I realised where the smell and the mosquitoes were coming from. Vents had been placed in the wall in the bathroom, I imagine to filter the steam/air from the bathroom and the vents lead into the wardrobe in the bedroom. This had made the wardrobe wood rotten and mouldy and the wardrobe was swarming with mosquitoes!

We spent the night sitting on the front room floor on our beach towels and had no sleep at all.

This completely ruined our holiday and we are so disgusted that these 2 hotels are even open for business. We understand basic and we have stayed in basic accommodation before, but never have we stayed in a hotel that is so dirty and unhygienic.

It says in the website that the Club Sa Coma is located in a picturesque area, this is not true, when you walk out of the hotel you are directly facing an "adults only, private club" where men are constantly driving past and women are trying to entice men into the club. This made us feel very unsafe and the area very seedy.

If I could give a lower rating I would. This was like something from Holidays from Hell on TV! Where to start - filthy dirty, electrical sockets hanging from the wall, toilet that wouldn't flush, damp, ants everywhere, not enough bedding, rusty taps and bath, the list is endless.

That is if you can actually manage to get checked in. We arrived at 5am and eventually found a tiny, tiny notice saying to ring a bell if nobody is around, and after about 15 minutes a man arrived, who had obviously just crawled out of bed. He should have been our warning - he was rude, surly and filthy dirty and looked to be suffering from a hangover.

We booked in, got straight on the phone and moved out 2 hours later, not even washing/changing as it was just too filthy. I warn you, I read the reviews, thought "no it can't be that bad", went and thought "no, it's worse!" STAY AWAY!!!

Me and my partner went on this holiday to relax but we didn’t. We had to beg for clean sheets and towels we had to use the same 2 bath towels for 4 days. We stayed 7 nights and the cleaner only came around once! The last 2 nights of our holiday we couldn’t even stay in the bed room because it was ant infested the beds were covered in them. We had to sleep in the living room we didn’t mind because the mattress really smelt anyway. And the hotel staff don’t seem to bother when you explain that you want clean towels and bedding they just said 'tomorrow' but it never got done.

They say its a family hotel however there isn’t anything for children to do. There isn’t any entertainment, kids club or even a play area. There isn’t much of a bar either no one ever went in there. As for the brothel over the road its quiet during the day but if your room is at the front which mine was its very noisy at night. It often woke me up at 2am.

The rooms are very basic no oven, microwave, kettle, or toaster only a couple of electric rings on the hob. However you can rent a toaster and kettle from the reception 15 euros each for the week. (They don’t tell you this when booking).

On a good note the pool is ok and there is always warm water to have a shower and of course its cheap! That’s what attracts people to it. We wouldn’t go again it ruined my holiday the dirty, smelly room I spent as much time away from that place as possible. If we could have afforded to we would have checked in to another hotel. I'm happy to be home.

I have read all the other reviews and frankly I agree on some points. First of all if you want a cheap holiday accommodation this is for you. My wife and i stayed there in October 2005. The kitchens are basic, but we didn’t plan on doing any cooking.

So that was not a problem for us. The shower was adequate, with hot water always. The living area was clean and comfy with a balcony. The bedrooms were clean , we were there for 10 days and we only saw the cleaner twice. But if you want extra bed linen and towel changes , you just ask reception and they are changed the next day. Reception is open 24 hrs a day.

They don’t take your passports from you as one poster claimed. The apartment doors are dead locked, electricity is free, you also get a TV. If you get to your apartment and there is no TV. Etc. ASK. THEY WILL PROVIDE. If you don’t ask you wont get. Simple as that. The pool is great. One piece of advice I would give, try to avoid apartments on the ground floor. As ants are a problem. One holidaymaker stated there was a gentle men’s club on the entrance to the apartments.

Actually it is across the other side of the road. Nowhere near the apartments themselves. And is so discreet you don’t even know its there. On the whole, I would definitely go back to club Sa Coma. For 15 pound a night, and all amenities on your doorstep, the beach is 15 mins walk away. Great eateries, and cheap.

Just arrived back from holiday at club Sa Coma. Apartments were basic but must Spanish apartments are. The pool was cleaned on a regular basis and the pool area was cleaned every day.

I thought it was good value for money if you wanted any thing you just had to ask at reception they didn’t speak much English but we always got what we wanted. the gentleman’s club over the road wasn’t a problem we were there for 11nights and came home late most nights and never seen anything’s coma isn’t the place to go for busy night life but we thought it ideal for families with young kids the beaches are great and clean.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sa Coma. as for the apartments they were ideal for a base plenty of cheap places to eat and drink lets face it you don’t go on holiday to stay in your apartment.

The resort is fine but please avoid these apartments. As they are supposed to be self-catering you have to hire everything you need including kettle, toaster, microwave and fan. The apartments are shabby and dirty and while we were there we were flooded out which as we were told was a common occurrence. When we arrived there was no one there who could speak English and the apartment we were given had the bar which is open twenty-four seven about ten yards away and a lap dancing club directly behind us. So we had to find someone to swap with us as the rep had told us that they wouldn’t have any free rooms.

The room we got was dirty. The bath had been painted and the paint was peeling of it. The cooking area and utensils were to say the least primitive. They changed the bed once in the two weeks we were there and the towels were grubby the cleaning was to say the least inadequate. When we were flooded out the cleaners sat in the bar while we and many of the other guest had to sweep and mop out all the water ourselves. There had been some burglaries before we arrived but instead of being told this by the rep in our welcome meeting we found out from people who were leaving the day after we arrived.

I WARN YOU NOW!!

WARNING!!!

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!

We got off the bus looked over the road to see a brothel as they call it a 'gentlemen’s club'. Prostitutes selling themselves to dirty old men!

We had to wait about an hour for the German receptionist who couldn’t speak English to come and give us our room key! The receptionist ill say no more about! (there’s too much to say).

The apartment was disgraceful, the kitchen facilities had to be hired. ( it doesn’t say that in the brochure!)

The plates and cups and the smallest fridge I have ever seen, needed a good clean as they were full of dust!

The beds were like Childs first beds very small!, the floors were flooded with sand and the smell of the bathroom made us sick!

Our two children got ear infections from the pool. Before we came there were several burglaries!

There was cockroaches bedding under the fridge, the television didn’t work! Then on the last night the bathroom flooded with other peoples toilet waste, the smell was terrible and we had to sleep on sun beds in our neighbours room, because the rep didn’t no what to do, we also had to clean it up ourselves.

Apart from all that it was the worst holiday ever.

I DID WARN YOU

FINAL WARNING...

Be wary, First Choice brochure says ‘new for 2003’ meaning new to First Choice, not a new block of apartments! Expensive for what it is, and it was almost the cheapest in the brochure....you pay extra to rent a kettle or a fan or toaster. Some apartments very grubby, there is a lap dancing club opposite the entrance - great for the kids when you come back late.....we even spotted condoms on the entrance steps - classy....OH, and the huge ornate rubbish pile next door was a visual delight. Non English speaking staff and a tour rep who didn’t know the area, linens that don’t get changed for 2 weeks and a plethora of 'English Pub style' bars meant we felt more like we were in Maidenhead than Majorca! Beach is good, if you can get on it - very crowded.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, don’t come here!!! This was my first holiday abroad, and possibly my last as a result of my experiences in Club Sa Coma. As we arrived we were greeted by, as we thought, a loud and over-lit nightclub less than 50 metres from our apartments. As it turned out, this 'nightclub' was a brothel, or as they like to call it - a 'Gentleman’s Club', with the prostitutes selling themselves at the entrance of the complex.

We were asked on arrival for our passports which would be returned to us the next day (fair enough I thought), however the next day, our passports along with several others were left unattended in a small wicker basked on the front desk in full view of everyone. The next few days resulted in the original Holiday From Hell, as we had to pay for the use of a microwave, kettle, and fan, which accumulated to over 87 euros and that was even before we got into the hotel. There were very few utensils in the 'kitchen' (a two hob stove and rusty sink). The large kitchen knife was rusty and all of the plates etc needed scrubbed.

The bathroom was overlooked by other hotel rooms, so the window could never be opened. There was plug-hole hair left on the mirror when we arrived and the towels were grotty. The two cleaners didn’t clean, just made the beds. The worst event that happened was that 6 apartments were broken into. The safes were sawed through and their contents (money, tickets, passports etc) were all gone. We found out from other holidaymakers that our apartment was broken into the day before we arrived. The robbers used a skeleton key to get into the rooms, which made us all feel in danger.

The rep was not interested in the slightest when we complained, even when, in the courtesy room (which you had to pay 10 euros to use on your last day) I was bitten by fleas which were in the bed. The rooms adjacent to the courtesy room were fumigated the weekend before due to fleas, but obviously, they had not all gone. I invited the rep to see the bed, even sit down on it - his words were "I wouldn’t take the risk".

The pool was never cleaned and 4 children got ear infections. I haven’t listed all of the problems in this resort, as they all didn’t directly affect me, but be warned. Please don’t come here. First Choice - you’ll be my last choice in future!
