shocking

Well were do we start. This hotel is shocking and and is not a all inclusive. we got ham and cheese every day for breakfast. Dinner time was a hot dog and u could only have one sitting if this, dinner was pasta or rice with a bit of cake. you hade no option for alcoholic spirits through the day and could only drink pop or wine and beer. Spirits were served in the bar from 6pm till 9pm and all inclusive drinks stopped at 10pm. The photos you see on the website are probably taken from another hotel because it is not what you get. This is at best a 1 star hotal. The only positive of this hotel was the English bar man the rest of the bar staff were children who could be no older than 11, I for one do not feel comfertable being served by children who I also saw drinking alcohol themselves. Overall this has been the worst holiday I have ever experienced and warn anyone thinking of going there NOT to.

we stayed here end of september start of october 2009. We had an excellent time. Me my husband and our baby stayed for 2 weeks and more of our family joined us on the second week as we were getting married in Rhoads. there were a total of 46 of us staying here and not a single one had a complaint. rooms are very basic but to be honest thats all you need, pool area is fantastic, and the pool bar does really good cheap food with lots to choose from. The people there can not do enough for you especially Ricky, he is a great guy and we still in touch now we back home. the owner Takos put on our wedding reception in the restaurant and it was beatiful with flowers, candles and soft music, and a delicious meal. After the food we moved out into the bar were ricky did a disco for us. All in all, it is a fantastic place with great people. We will be returning

Holiday Before University, Amazing.
8 / 10
Feb 2010, MissDolphin

Myself and three friends went to Faliraki before we all went off to uni, and its forever gone down as the best holiday of our lives. we were all 18 and got moved to the Venezia after we were told our hotel had been closed.
We stayed for 2 weeks and it was fabulous! The rooms for 4 people were really spacious, i think the whole time we were there we cooked once of twice. you get pots pans free. it says you have to pay for breakages but i broke a glass and didnt!
everyone exaggerates the hill.. and walking down is fine.... walking up.. not so fine!!! we got a taxi allk the time but between 4 of us, it was nothing really.
theres two strips, bar and club street. both are equally good. the PR'ing is really annoying mind. even when our friend had to go to hospital coz she cut her foot they were still tryin to bloody drag us in!!! sometimes they say free fishbowl.. yeah.. thats AFTER you boy a 5 euro cocktail! seriously faliraki is alllllllllllll COCKTAILS!! ooo and fishbowls immense!!!!
if you dont go club 18-30 like we didnt ...but the package from the rep coz i swear it was so worth it... 7 hours free bar in total... and seriously theres loadsa drink! comedian, beach party, bed club - dave pearce...loadsa events well worth 180 euros.
air con is a bit of a fuss mind, quite expensive but by god its worth it! faliraki is steaming!!!!
all in all fabulous holiday , lotsa memories and fun times.. met some great people :)
would love to go back!

just got back from a two week break in faliraki with the lads and have to say it was a quality holiday all the staff at the resort are really friendly and ricky is an absolute legend who will do anything to help. the rooms are very basic but very well maintained and the facilities are good value for money, the food at the hotel is also very good with tony the waiter also a legend he had us in stitches with his good sense of humour and the rep sophia was also very helpful and always up for a laugh and a bit of friendly banter so overall a very good place to stay. down the bottom of the hill you have two greek run english style pubs and i have to say that mikes the second one of the two is absolutly s**t he gets you in the by offering free drinks but seriously guys its awful after that its all well and gd with free drinks but his hospitality is awful just like the food served, as compared to the thomas pub next door which is brilliant they can never do enough for ya and they are all really nice people who made our holiday so much better just through thier sense of humour and genoursity throughtout our holiday so for anyone going to faliraki and staying in this area make the thomas pub a priority and i can guarntee you will not be dissapointed. thanks

  • Advice: its a very friendly environment even in the night time
  • Activities: thomas pub is a definate, rhodes town is worth a look and also try the water sports.

We stayed at the Venezia for 2 weeks in 2008 looking for a central base, without the madness of Faliraki as we had our 13 year old daughter with us. Our room was basic but cleaned every day with no shortage of clean towels. Sun beds were avalabale no matter what time of the day you wanted to soak up the sun or just have a snack (varied menu and the chef will cater for all tastes).
'RICKYYY! was a tremdous host as was Alison the delectible barmaid - nothing was ever a problem and they were both always willing to offer advice about the area.
There was entertainment in the complex most nights, Karaoke (Ricky you need to change your opening number!), but in all it's good crack if your willing to take part. The Pool competition, which was stole by 'Rons mate' was good value for the evening. There is a nightly quiz which I must say, 'We are the Champions' with a few coctails of your choice and a Pitza as the the prize. If you feel like a 'wee drink into the wee long hours there is no problem as the bar stays open until the sun comes up, which is beautiful to see.
If you feel like a night in you can rent videos for @3 euros, however the TV volume is set, so if you have air conditioning on it is hard to hear.
Takis, who is mainly responsible for the bar area is laid back, but always obliging. The 'In house' restaurant is informal and has a varied menu, however the veg is not.
To conclude; A super holiday and if you normally travel to Greece worth much more than the stars given.
Hope to return.

Nice people shame about the rest....

Nice people shame about the rest.
Good points are.
1 The price.
2 The pool.
3 The food.
Bad points are.
1 The Location at the top of steep hill.
2 The rooms need some TLC and repair.
3 Crap attitude to late departure you are just ignored...
4 The night time entertainment guy should be shot or pushed down the steep hill...
5 Too many warning sign's like. "We will charge you to unblock the toilet" ect....
I kind of liked the Hotel but it needs some money spent on fixing the broken bits....

Sep 2008, Other Rons

I stayed in the Venezia hotel with my girlfriend an two other couples. We didt arrive until 3 in the morning and were greeted by Ricky who stayed up all nite to meet the guests one by one as they arrive. The rooms were basic but well keep with a great view of the pool area an the mountains behind. The pool area was perfect. Nice pool an lots of sun luangers for the guests. The food at the pool was nice enough with a great range of items to choose from. One of the brothers who runs the bar
was always friendly and made you feel as if he was making the food especially for you. The resturant in the evenings was nice too. fast an cheap.
The bar was open until 6 or 7 in the morning run by the other brother(also very nice) entertaninment was ok. Mosly pub quizes by old Ricky, with his famous "i'll give you a clu' catchphrase. there was also a kareoke and a pool competion. i must say Rickey would bend over backwards for the guests. never seen the real rep once. apparently her name was lucy. ha ha. The town itself had lots of bars that empty. full of people outside promising you shots that were more like lemonade.
If your in to your clubbing i would definiatley recomend a place called liquid. full knocker dance music, on to about 7 or 8 in the morning.
Al round great holiday. Friendly people all round the place. in every shop or bar you went into. would also try the slingshot. it shoots you 250 foot into the air. ha ha. 35 euros a go but you get a free t shirt, photo and dvd of the experience
its only 10 euros any other time during the holiday.
The only downside was the elderly man an woman at the front desk. very ignorant at all times but we never let them spoil our holiday

We were placed in this accommodation after being advised our original choice was overbooked. The accommodation was pretty average. The rooms were adequate, however it would have been impossible to 'self cater' on two small rings. The electrics had a lot to be desired with sockets hanging off the wall. During our first week the hotel didn't seem suitable for families as there were many groups of teenagers making lots of noise all night long, however this did quiten down in the second week. We would not have chosen this accommodation ourselves as it was up an extremely steep hill with no bars or shops nearby.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel in June this year and definately will be going back!! If your looking for a nice friendly clean relaxed hotel then this is the place!! All the staff are really welcoming, and the same with the other guests staying!! We made loads of friends of different ages.
The only bit which wasnt much fun was the slight hill at the hotel entrance, but sure you cant expect amazing views without climbing abit of a hill!!!
Overall i would definately recommend my family and friends to stay at this hotel.

Went for a weeks holiday in the Venezia Studios with my boyfriend.
Thought the studio was nice and clean. (though we only seen the maids twice). There was a good balcony overlooking the town. Thought the shower was soo small it was a hasstle having to wash my hair in the evenings!
The pool are was fine. Not the biggest pool, but we always managed to get sunbeds. There is a pool bar which has a great range of food which is cheap enough. The supermarket in the hotel is basic but there is a few good ones in the town.
The local beers are really nice- Amstel and Mythos. they are cheaper than going for any of the beers from home. Usually bout 2.50euros for a pint
I walked 'the hill' only once during the heat of the day and it was a struggle- had to stop for a pint on the way up! But doing it in the evening is fine.
There were some good resturants in the town- espec Mythos which had the best starters ever!
I would recommend this accomodation for couples and groups of young people who dont want the madness on your doorstep- but want to have it close by. Not so sure if it would be great for kids as the pool isnt huge and the entertainment didnt seem that great for kids.
