Flawless

This is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful island. When exploring the island I had the satisfaction that none of the hotels I saw looked as good as mine! :) The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was extremely good - a well chosen mix of Greek fare and Anglo-Saxon style cereals & pork products. I've had much worse in a 5-star Marriot. The only downside is that it's a 10-15 minute walk on a narrow, difficult road to town, and if you're going to the most popular beaches it's then another 10-15 minute walk from that side of town to the bus station. But that's it. It's worth it!
Great Time at Cavo Tagoo
from Sparky55
We stayed here for our first trip to Greece and Mykonos. The hotel and staff couldn't have suited us better. Mara at the front desk bent over backwards to provide the best room possible for our stay. The driver happened to be from the same area in Greece as my mother's father and treated us very well. My mother turned 80 and we wanted a special room for 3 ladies traveling to Greece. She reserved us a beautiful suite, awesome view but too many stairs for my mother. Instead we had a lovely room, overlooking the sea with terrific views. There weren't any tours available of Mykonos at this time of year, so the hotel clerk recommended we rent a car. For $35 per day we got a great look at Mykonos Island. The atmosphere was so calming, the breakfast was wonderful especially eating out by the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.
Spectacular Hotel!

A very friendly welcome, fantastic views of the water/town. Terrific restaurant/breakfast very extensive and delicious. Lovely rooms. Only negative, it's a 20 minute walk into town.
Very Nice

We had a very wonderful stay at Cavo Tagoo in Aug 2005. Definitely a nice small luxury hotel. We were in a suite, which is two levels and very spacious. Very nice view of the sunset from our terrace. The pool is large and is salt water, with a pool bar and friendly staff. The restaurant is also very good, we stayed there for dinner one evening and the food was delicous! Unfortunately there is some current construction at the hotel and it's surroundings but it did not bother us.
Wonderful hotel...but
from peakiek
The Cavo Tagoo is a wonderful hotel. The staff is extremely helpful. Our room was beautiful. There was even a large natural boulder in it. The buffett breakfast was excellent and very elegant. There is a courtesy car to the port and airport. The only drawback is the walk to town is fifteen minutes. This is not bad but the road is very windy and narrow. The cars and cycles zip by. I definitelyl would not walk after dark. It would be nice if the hotel offered shuttle service. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Love this place!!

Fabulous place to stay. Get a suite if you can stretch the budget! You can walk to town but road very busy so we often took a taxi. The pool area is always quiet even in high season and the staff are really really nice. Lovely breakfasts and resturant does lovely lunches. Our favourite place in the Greek Islands!
Very impressed with the hotel

My wife and 17 year old son spent one night at the Cavo Tagoo in July 2004. The hotel has a very nice location, and excellent ocean views. The outdoor pool is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We had a triple (one double bed, and one twin bed) that was comfortable (albiet pretty basic), clean, well equipped, and nicely air conditioned. The outside restaurant is very nice, with great views, a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, and fine (if not excellent) food. I would definately recommend the Cavo Tagoo.
Fantastic!

I have just returned from another wonderful week at this hotel and wish I could have stayed longer - forever would be good! The staff are fantastic, the chef is a genious (your must stay for at least one lunch and one dinner) nothing is too much trouble and the staff without exception go out of their way to may your stay a memorable one. Views from the higher rooms are breathtaking and unrivalled. It is a very short and cheap taxi ride down into town. Stay and have a cocktail by the pool and watch the sunset - amazing. Breakfasts excellent - what more can I say - I shall return to this lovely little hotel next year. Marilyn Citro - Madeira Portugal.

Having seen several hotels in Mykonos, Cavo Tagoo is one of the best with sea views, clean rooms (by greek standards) and fabulous staff. The food and atmosphere was superb, the desserts were to die for. While there is some construction underway near the seawall, there was no noise or interference to the enjoyment. The hotel is 800m from town, but a good 10 minutes walk wets the apetite for the local cuisine. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff went out of their way to assist us and pandered to our requests.
Excellent value

My partner and I stayed on June 24th and 25th. We specifically requested a high room to maximize the view. The nearby construction in no way blocks any of the views. It's just a bit of an eyesore, at the worst. We paid 165 euros/night for our sea view superior room, and we felt that we got excellent value for our money. We couldn't believe that an enormous breakfast buffet was included. The staff were very friendly. The room is clean and modest, and the view of the sea was excellent. The only complaint we have is that the 10-15 minute walk to Mykonos town is on a seaside street with no sidewalks. Slightly scary, but not a deal breaker. We are a gay male couple, and we felt very comfortable at this hotel, where we did encounter some other gay guests.

I stayed at Hotel Tagoo for four nights with my husband, in September 2006. We found it to be a good choice of hotel. We were picked up at the ferry by Anna and taken directly to the hotel and shown our room right away. Anna then spent some very useful time with us... more
