" Onar Village is in a wonderful... "

Onar Village is in a wonderful location on the hillside overlooking Kyrenia. It is only a short and cheap taxi ride into Kyrenia and during the heat of August Onar was noticeably cooler than the town.
The hotel buildings are lovely, clean and welcoming and nicely decorated. The pool area, and pool bar were never too crowded and again kept beautifully clean. There is a beautiful indoor pool and small gym. The restaurant on the terrace overlooks Kyrenia and although we were only staying on a bed and breakfast basis we often chose to eat at the hotel in the evening as the food was very good.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, and contributed to the very calm and restful atmosphere of the hotel. There were a number of guests there who had returned time and time again and we would certainly do the same. The only downside was that the hotel plumbing sometimes found it a struggle to keep our bungalow, downhill from the main building, supplied with hot water. I hope the owners will turn their attention to this.
This was our first visit to Northern Cyprus and we found it ideal being located out of town at the Onar 'oasis' with the beautiful harbour and choice of restaurants of Kyrenia so close by.
