We flew with first choice airways, excellent service as usual when booked through sovereign - red carpet check in, free on-board drinks, pre-booked seats, kids meal is well worth the extra 2 pounds.
We arrived at our hotel, which was lovely, very big rooms, with fridge and very clean. We got fresh beach towels every day and there was always plenty of sun loungers even in August. Kids club was good during the day and evening as well. The pool area was clean, plus a life guard on duty most times. The hammocks and outdoor Jacuzzi were a big hit with everyone. Food was very good, lots of choice and we even got free brunch- which was just like the evening meal.
The only down -side was there was nowhere to walk out to at night time, there were apartments next door which belonged to the same group, which looked very busy plus a spar supermarket and that was it. The beach bar closed early evening when everyone left the beach. We had a car and went into Cala Rajada 10 Mins. away, and the bus service that stopped outside the hotel went there too, We loved it here, and went a few times in the day as well as night. Also it rained twice and was a bit cloudy for a few days, not what you expect in August.

We booked a 4-day stay here and overall it was a good experience. Here's the scoop:
The good: nice room, clean, lots of pools, great beach, Mallorca itself, decent rate, and nice balcony.
The bad: have to drive to do anything more than go to the beach, $10 EURO to sit in the beach chairs at the beach, air conditioner not working in room, rental bikes in need of adjustment, clubhouse closed for "siestas" from noon to 3pm, extensive deposits required to check out beach towels/mini golf clubs/etc, nothing close by, no place to ride a bike, lack of sound insulation between rooms means you'll hear your neighbour's every move.
The ugly: the restaurants (Italian and Mexican) featured very poor selections and lacked the basics for these genres i.e. no Margaritas or beef tacos at the Mexican restaurant and no garlic bread at the Italian restaurant. Portions were skimpy and prices were high. As for the Italian restaurant, we were left sitting there for 30 minutes with empty glasses and no cheque (before I finally had to get up and request the bill) despite attempts to flag down the waitress.
Bottom line: There's better choices. Stay here if you want to do nothing except go to the beach or you have a rental car to get out to the rest of the island. Eat in your room or drive into one of the nearby towns for food-restaurants are sure to leave you still hungry and disappointed!
