Nessebar has a lovely Quaint old town which is a World Heritage site & well worth a visit if staying nearby, we could walk there from our hotel in 20 min. This part of nessubar nr South beach is rather nice & one of the better areas to stay in my opinion. The nearby resort... more

just returned from Hotel Hawaii,had a great holiday. Ok ,it is a bit dated but nowhere near as bad as the reviews I read before going. The staff were all friendly.bedding changed weekly, clean towels when you wanted. The choice at breakfast was ok and varied, the pool was cleaned and the gras and flowers watered daily. This is the worst Hotel i have ever stayed in, the staff were rude, unhelpful and to be frank there is no more words i could use politely. Breakfast was from 7.30 - 10.30 and how they managed to serve what was supposed to be a hot breakfast cold at 7.30am is beyond me, i feel it must be a work of art. The rooms were unclean, the mattresses were made of concrete as were the pillows. Avoid this hotel, a couple of days ago our hotel room and 3 other rooms on the same floor were broken into, they stole cameras, jewellery, mobile phones and cash. There did not appear to be any forced entry, as the police suggested they may have a master key. Hotel staff did not really care, and would not move us to another hotel/room. Our rooms were on the 5th floor so no access via balcony. Our Balkan hotel rep was very unhelpful and has a unhelpful and arrogant attitude to the brake in and theft of property. The...

Well we've just got back from 2 weeks of what we thought were actually going to be quite hellish..........wasn't actually as bad as the previous reviews had made it out to be! The hotel was, as predicted, still dated and the lifts in the hotel had a mind of their own; pot luck whether the lift stopped on your floor or if indeed it would work at all! After reading a lot of bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised to arrive at hotel hawaii. No it isnt five star I think the official status is 2 1/2 to 3* . The staff were always very friendly and pleasant, rooms basic but clean, air conditioning (which was free!) was fantastic. Breakfast was as I have come to expect in most european hotels a selection of fruit, salads and breads with a small variety of hot (well warm) foods, beans eggs meats etc. The area was quiet I would have preferred some more variety of entertainment Karaoke...

We arrived at the Hotel Hawaii in Nessabur at around 3.30am in the morning on the 5th July for our 2 week stay and were allocated a room on the 13th Floor! The room was spacious, a little sparce and lacked chairs or a fridge. It seemed to us that it had only recently been refitted. The cabinets and what furniture we had was new. A lovely walk in wardrobe too! The bathroom was great, a shower cubicle with great power shower and oodles of hot water. The air con worked a treat too! my partner and i i have just returned from a one week stay at this hotel,we do not see that the hotel is the prioty of our holidat but feel we have to share this with you,! On arrival 2:30 am we were given our room key on the 13th floor,the lift had no front door and was a bit scary to say the least,the room was like a bedsit,the wallpaper looked as if it had been thrown on.the balcony was simply a no go area,i was told that the metal sheeting over the balcony was to protect the armed forces from enemy fire as this used to be an army...

on arrival to the hotel the receptionist was very nice as all staff were while we were staying there with the exception of the moody female pool side bar attendent. 70s carpet and weird wallpaper. it needs a bit of money spent on it to smarten it up! the pool was very nice allthough there were a few sharp tiles which were dangerous. food was good in the bar but not in the hotel itself especially breakfast. i think if it had a bit of tlc it would be a lovley place to stay.

we have just got back from hawaii hotel. a dated block of 13 floors apartments.The balconies are unsittable on.The beds and the pillows were 100% complaint with all the brits that stayed there as they were like concreteso if booking take some padding. the showers were without doubt the best of any holiday resort we have ever been too, powershowers in a wet room which we needed after a couple of hours on the beds, do not believe all the blurb. there is no: shop,hairdresser,massage,exchange office, or mini bar. the pool is fantastic with hydro...

An experience!?

My partner and I arrived at this hotel at about 2:30 am. There was another couple on the coach and a single gent, we were all on the same plane. After being on the go for about 20 hours found that we could not get any refreshments. There was not even a vending machine. We booked a deluxe room and on entering it we could not believe our eyes, it was so small, the balcony was a joke. Made complaint at reception, see the manageress at 08:30. At 08:30 found the other couple had beaten us to it. They wanted out of this 'dump' their words...
