Good location
from CambridgeMaggie
We had a one bedroom apartment and were quite impressed with the size and amount of storage compared to many places we have stayed. There was only a tiny cooking area with two electric rings so self-catering was something of a challenge. (No frying pan, oven or microwave.) The whole place, including the pool, was kept very clean. Not enough sun beds in high season and unless you were very determined, it was easier to go to the beach. Also, few of the beds had parasols though one side of the pool became shaded by the hotel building in the afternoon. Sun bed bagging is not allowed and this attracted us to the apartments but some people still tried to get away with it. We felt the entertainment was a bit strange and aimed more at children eg snake demos rather than music. There were lots of children running around and at times, you had to guard your drink from stray footballs. Fair enough in the day, but if you were a couple without children, I think this would be very annoying in the evening. It's certainly a family hotel. The beach is seconds away from the hotel and consists of clean sand that slopes very gently into the sea. Excellent for small children and plenty of space. The hotel is in the thick of it if you want the bars and restaurants that cater for tourists. (Kentucky chicken and burger bars etc.) Not at all sophisticated and not even cheap. We prefered to walk up to the harbour area (about 40 mins) where there were much nicer bars with more atmosphere and these were actually cheaper! Some of the restaurants here had a more Spanish feel and were better value.
never again

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is right on the beach which is lovely and great for children. Its located very near to lots of bars and resturants and the usual souvenir shops. The problem with this hotel is that the walls are paper thin. I was woken every night with the person next door snoring. If anyone in the room beside you is talking you can hear what they are saying. Add to this the fact that the doors have no outside handle and must be banged shut you can begin to imagine the noise that is created when people are coming and going at different hours. The hotel is catered for mainly german tourists which i never found a problem, except for the 2 in the room next to me who got drunk in their room every night before leaving at 11pm to return between 3 and 4 am and talk for the rest of the night. The patio doors make a terrible sound if there is any wind (so much so you cant talk over it) and you must therefore sleep with the doors slightly open to avoid this. Not a great idea when its October and starting to turn chilly. When someone near you flushes the toilet all the toilets seem to fill up and the nosie is incredible. If you have children the entertainment is poor and you need to pay 10 euros per night per child for the mini disco. If you are single and get enough alcohol in you on a nightly basis to keep you alseep through an earthquake you will be fine here.
not for the young & lively people

The location was great. It was right in the centre of everything, shops, bars etc. The beach was great as it was right on your doorstep, no need for pool area. The only fault the me and my fiance had was that it was very family orientated. There were kids everywhere which is great if your goin away as a family. There werent many disco bars if your into that, and the few that were there were empty. The restaurants were ok nothing too fancy just your basic burgers, steak pasta etc. Overall it was ok, the hotel was nice my only fault was the area as I found there wasn't alot to do for young people. Would not be going again.
Nice apartments but get up early for sunbeds!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in these apartments in mid June for 1 week. When we arrived we got our apartment but we had a roof view from our balcony which done my partner's head in. We eventually got changed after 3 days to a sea view apartment - we arrived on the Saturday and didn't get changed till the Tuesday as the rooms were all full. One minute at reception they said they would change our room on the Monday then they changed the story the next day - we were told that we couldn't be changed till the Tuesday. I found you had to get up at 8am or even before that to get a sunbed as a lot of the germans get up very early for sunbeds with their kids. I felt I was getting up for work otherwise I wouldn't have a sunbed for the day. There could have been a few more umbrellas around the pool area also. The rooms were very clean so I can't fault that at all however make sure you bring a travel kettle as there are no kettles in the rooms so you would have to boil your water on the hob otherwise. The apartments are in a great location beside the beach and near bars and restaurants so everything is central. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Parisio with the exception of the roof view from the balcony initially plus having to get up a cock crow to get a sunbed.
Loved it

Enjoyed our stay in Paraiso del Alcudia. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean apartments. Perfect location - right on the beach. Would definitely return again. Recommend for families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday
Excellent Location and Family Friendly

Transferred from Club Mac/Hotel Jupiter Complex which we hated so much I very neary booked flights back home after three days. To each their own, I know many like this complex, we didn't. Given the above, the Paraiso Del Alcudia Apartments was stunning by comparison and my wife and three year old son and I had an exceptionally pleasent second week to our holiday. The property is located right in front of the beach and has it's own reasonable sized swimming pool with areas suitablle for young children who cannot yet swim - yes, it's gets busy in high season and while we never had a problem getting sunbeds around the pool the sunbeds are fairly well packed in. The rooms were clean and reasonably stocked with the necessary cooking utensils. We didn't have the best of views, being at the side of the hotel. The upside to this is that it was very quite in the evenings which is a great when you have a three year old that needs to sleep! Only downside is that none of the rooms have air conditioning. Lunches (additional cost) are at best average - but great if you like your basic chips, burgers etc. We don't. Breakfast (included) was fantastic with plenty of selection (from healthy through to naughty!) and pretty much eat as much as you want. Location - Five walk minutes from plenty of clubs, pubs, bars. 30 senconds from the beach. Taxi/horse taxi ride to Alcudia Harbour. Just on the edge of the area known as Little Venice. Very quiet, but the 'noise' is only five minutes walk away is that's what you want. Entertainment - Which we didn't use - Plenty of evening stuff around the pool. Kids clubs - Which we didn't use - Appeared to be some daily activities and and the staff who led it were always bright and cheerful. The staff were always very pleasent and helpful, spoke very good English and helped me with my appalling Spanish! Overall we loved it and would go back again - However my comments need to be considered against the context of the disastrous first week we spent at the Saturno/Jupiter complex!
Perfect location, average hotel
from HEGE
I stayed here with my family 1 week in september 2006. The rooms were just OK, not more than that... The cleaning was average, could have been better. But, the location was perfect, right on the beach, in the center of Alcudia, and just a 15-20 minutes walk from Port of Alcudia. Our apartment had wonderful seaview! The pool area was nice, a big pool, childrens pool and lots of sunbeds. You can rent pool towels at the reception!!! We did not eat anything at Paraiso, as it is located so close to a huge variety of other restaurants. The evening shows can be a bit disturbing and noisy, but they stopped around 2200, so it isn't really a problem. The staff was helpful and nice. I would love to stay here again, not because the hotel was anything special, but because of the perfect location!
Fabulous

We have just returned from 9 pleasurable ntgs at the paraiso del alcuida apartments. We booked the apartment direct and the staff were more than helpful with information. The apartments were spotlessly clean and the view out over the pool area and beach were second to none. Located right on the beach and and 5 min (slow) walk to centre of resort. The resort itself was quietier than we're used too, not for the party animals! These apartments would be ideal for families as the entertainment for kids is great, they've something for them to do everyday. Throughly enjoyed our stay at these apartments and would highly recommend them.

I cannot fault the location of this complex - the view from almost every balcony faces the calm sea in front. Because of the great selection of restaurants for evening meals, we didn't eat in the complex itself - but the bar food looked as standard as anywhere (everything with chips on the side) We had a fabulous holiday here, walking distance from everything and mainly very quiet at night time (except for the awful noise of the kids entertainment) but it finished at an early hour. I would highly recommend Paraiso as a holiday choice.
Pretty spot on

After requesting a move from the Club Mac Hotel down the road, we were pleasently suprisised by the Paraiso. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful and the location, cleanliness and modernisation of the apartment complex was fantastic. There are plently of restaraunts, supermarkets, perfume and clothes shops and pubs nearby. Most rooms have a sea, river or pool view, which are all nice. I would suggest a self catering option, though, as the food isn't really up to much and the beer at the bars in the complex are over-priced and watered down. Overall the stay was fantastic with plenty to do and see. If you make plans to go in the next 6 months or so you will probobly see me and my partner back there again. Well worth the money. Ok hotel, the wiev was the best part. Loud entertainment at day/night, don't expect a quiet time at the balcony. Quiet at night though! Food not so good! The restaurant felt more as if you where back in school! Half-baked sausages and so on, no top quality! So don't go... more
