We stayed at this resort and came back the 11th july, there were 4 adults, 2 teenage boys and 1 kid and could not fault it for the money. The staff were very welcoming and stayed that way until we left. We did have to pay 30 euros for the safe though which we were not expecting. The rooms were spacious and basic, but you are never in there only to sleep. The pool was brill and the entertainment for the kids around the pool was gr8 there was always something going on, The kiddies club was excellent for there times and Sam and Hannha were 1st class and I left my child to have fun and safe. Gavin the rep was also polite and as we didnt have any faults, we didnt have much contact. The food areas were a bit dated but excellent choice of food there was always something for everyone and you could never starve. The drink flowed all of 2 wk and there was no problem getting served and once again we never had a bad barman they were all friendly, the staff are worked very hard but they were so polite. The main resort was about a 10min walk and it was beautiful, 1st place I have been to and the shopkeepers were not pestering you, they were also very polite, you do have to haggle prices. My son and his friend went into the sea a lot they could jump off the rocks and the 2 silly oldies with us went into lol they all had fun, the 2 boys went on the banana boats to which they thought was brill. So dont listen to bad reviews we would defo go back xxx

Just home from week here with my husband and 3 kids. We absolutely loved it here.
Atmosphere around pool was brill, especially with animation team - there were brill with the kids (and adults!!) keeping them entertained with games etc
Room were spacious and very clean with an abundance of clean towels every day.
Pool Bar food was great, we especially loved the baked potatoes and selection of breads. The Restaurant was also good, we didn't tend to use the restaurant much for breakfast instead we opted to make our own toast at the pool bar, we did use it every evening and there was always something for everyone, and the kids never complained once. I especially loved the salad bar.
Drinks and ice creams galore. found all staff pleasant
Air con broke down in our room one of the days, once we reported it to reception it was fixed with in hour.
All in all a fab holiday, Playa Blanca a beautiful area too, I would definitely recommend boat trip to Feurtventura! Can't wait to go back :-)
- Advice: leave your beach towels down early in the morning....we left our down around 7am then went back to bed!!

Just returned(29th May 2011) and in my opinion it was great! Bungalow was very spacious and clean, could do with tea/coffee facilities, but we worked around that. The food wasn't bad, maybe a bit repetative for some but we were happy with it, brilliant weather (39 degrees one day!) Pool nice and big, with lovely surroundings. Entertainment was ok on a few occasions, but aimed more at small children, staff very friendly and helpful when needed. As a cat lover it was nice to see lots of cats at the resort, cared for by the hotel. The town/beach was only a short walk away and was absolutely gorgeous...and again had lots of cats about also cared for by the locals.. If you dont like cats i would recommend that perhaps you don't choose this destination for your holidays! To be honest a holiday is what you make it and we had the best time in Lanzarote! Will be re-booking for next year!
- Advice: Beach/town is beautiful, brilliant restaurant in the town that does exquisite steaks, (forget the name, ask a local for recommendations.)

Just returned home after a week ataying in Club Playa Blanca. Not as good as expected! Went with my partner for a relaxing break, the pool was lovely, the rooms were clean, towels and sheets changed everyday part thursdays and sundays! There is a fridge and microwave in your room but no cutlery, plates or kettle which was strange!
As for the food not good!! and i will say if your children are fussy eaters then not a good choice!
Entertainment at night was really only aimed at kids, and the bar was very under staffed which led to a very long wait for drinks!!
We walked to the beach front every evening which was bout ten mins away!
All in all i will say the younger staff were brilliant with the kids playing games and keeping them entertained!
It is defently aimed more for familys!

Returned home 12th May 2011, went with Partner 3year old and 9month old. The bungalows were lovely and clean but there was no kettle, cutlery, plates, cups but they had a microwave and fridge which was strange. The pool area was clean but the bar staff were quite rude and didn't even get a hello! The "FREE" icecreams were the tineiest of pots and my 3year ols wasn't much on it and nothing else was on offer not even iced lollies (As there was no shop nearby this wasn't good) The food by the pool was a joke, hotdogs, burgers or jacket potato everyday which was boring and also cold everytime. The restaurant was very understaffed and let it down, we had to set our own table and most days clear them too. There were never any clean cutlery, bowls or cups this surely is not 4star all inclusive service? The food was the same every day and again cold everytime which resulted in us and many other holiday makers we spoke to to go and eat out which we really shouldn't of had to do as we felt we already paid for our food!! The juice, coffee, pop and beer ran out and was never topped up in a hurry very bad when you want a drink with your meal...you were up and down constantly and meal times were never relaxing which they should have been on holiday. Beer was not served in a pint much to my partners annoyance and again you should have the choice in an all inclusive hotel. This hotel is very much aimed at the german holiday makers and puts the british off!! Overall very dissapointed and would say go somewhere else!!! Has put me off all inclusive.
- Advice: Eat out and be prepared for many taxi rides up and down the hill or quite a bit of walking!!!

As a single mother, I wanted a week of rest, relaxation and sunshine with my 14 year old daughter and that is certainly what we got. The weather during February half term was absolutely glorious - 24 degrees and unbroken sunshine.
Accommodation was in a very spacious one bedroom (twin beds) bungalow with a TV (BBC World News the only English channel!), fridge, microwave but no means of making a cuppa! On our own terrace, we were able to sunbathe (on the spare blanket) in relative privacy, peace and quiet. We slept really well. Yes, the bathroom walls are thin, but DOES IT REALLY MATTER?! Just make sure you shut the door at night!
The food was perfectly acceptable - a huge choice, which varied every day. No tummy troubles! Supply of cutlery and cleared tables not really a problem if you get there reasonably early. There were 2 themed nights in one week - Mexican and Canarian, with free Margheritas and Honey Rum.
The entertainment (throughout the day) is child-orientated, (with a determined effort to include the adults!) which can only be expected in a family hotel.
It would be nice if people arriving in the dark (like us) were shown to their accommodation and settled in (difficult to find your way around in the dark - illumination subdued!)
Overall, this is an ideal and reasonably priced base from which to walk into Playa Blanca and also visit the rest of Lanzarote and we would definitely come back!

Went on this holiday with my two sisters (one is 23 & the other is 28, i am 33) & my mum for her 50th birthday. Found our room nice and clean.
found the staff very frendly they could'nt do enough to help.
there were lots of choice of food & there was always something for everyone even if you are a fussy eater.
the only thing i could really say that was bad was the entertainment at night was mostly for kids.
but my sister says it was good and she has booked to go again with her hubby & kids this year.

I am 31 year old female from the North east of england, Me, My boyfriend and my 13 year old daughter stayed in the Hotel Playa Blanca - All inclusive at the beginning of Jan 2011, On arrival at the hotel I was very pleased nice clean modern looking hotel, Friendly staff and was quickly given out apartment keys.On arrival at our bungalow type apartment no complaints until we realised we only had about ten hangers between the three of us to hang all our clothes on asing the hotel for more we were told to return the next day for more but didnt bother just left our clothes in cases, We went to the restaurant for tea and found the food to be not to our standards so after this initial tea their we didnt eat at the restaurant any more we went out to town to eat. This is what we found we spent most of our money on eating out for breakfast and tea's. Had the hotel food been better then we could of probably afforded more trips around the island. The breakfast consists of practically raw fatty bacon, cold eggs etc.. yuck. Beverages at the pool bar and main bar are local beer and spirits. Pool bar food is snacks like chips burgers salad but also found them to be poor standard cold chips, hard bread buns. The entertainment staff for children is really good though and I cant fault them. They involved my daughter in all their games and she thoroughly enjoyed taking part in their day time activities and disco on a night time, The entertainment is more geared towards youngish kids though and me and my boyfriend found ourselves a little bored at times watching it. All in all though we had a good holiday weather was glorious and hotel was nice, Just a good job we found other places to eat outside. Oh also take some mosquito sprays if you are going as we got bitten to death on our last week and they are all quite pricey over their.

1 week holiday 2 adults and 2 children under 4.
rooms clean and well presented. little issue with general up keep of maintenance i.e. broken lamp fittings and a few cracked tiles but not a issue to spoil a good clean development.
pools grand but cold as a child under 4 will tell you.
loads of sun loungers availible. hotel towels for the pool could do with a bit of softener...
food. good selection with lots to choose from. special nights of canarian and chinese foods where a great hit.
plenty of selection for kids
location. dead on wee bit of a walk[20mins] to the town centre but hotel put on a bus to the beach if required. good shopping and restaurants along the coast with market in the marina with a further 20mins walk or bus.
staff. all staff members very attentive and helpful with a great kids club during the day and kids disco at night

we went for a family break. in our party we had a 2 year old and three year old. we stayed in a two bedroom bungalow and had a fabulous time. The food isnt fantastic and the restaurant needs an overhaul, but the accomodation was spotless, the boys had a room each and we slept in the lounge area which meant we all had some sleep! The kids club was brilliant. Mimi the entertainer did a fantastic job. we were all inclusive which made meal times easier. the downside is the fact that if you wanted a kettle you had to pay (should come as standard) beach towels required a hefty deposit, but the positives outweighed the negatives. The evening entertainment was great for little ones and adults alike. one of the pools was heated which was great as I am a wimp when it comes to the cold. It rained for 2 mornings while there, and it is slippery on the tiles as the island as a whole is arid, so rain is an unusual occurance. We were just especially cautious, as even in town it is very slippy. The staff as a whole are very accomodating. we had a mosquito problem after the rain, and when I told reception they sent someone immediately to do a treatment on the room. The daily maid service was amazing, so clean. My boys loved the minidisco and the paddling pool. the main beach is a 10 minute walk away, and very easy to stroll to. Town is literally 5minutes down the road, so we didnt even have to use the baby buggy. I would recommend that the hotel replaces their apartment sofas with sofa beds, as we slept on the cushions on the floor, which was fine, but not ideal. the restaurant needs some love and attention. one of the juices machines was not chilling and delivered some black algae in with the juice! The toast machine had about 1 years worth of crumbs and one day they ran out of milk! if the restaurant was sorted, I would say for the type of break we were after it would have been pretty ideal.

Me and my husband booked to stay for 7 days All Inclusive. When we arrived and checked out the bungalow the bedding was wet, the towels were hard and rough to the touch without a hotel emblem. Found the room to be cold but clean. The hotel moved us to another bungalow but our holiday had already been spoilt by this time. Food inedible, drinks undrinkable very poor for an all inclusive being billed as a 4*. Decided to stay one night as it was evening and too late to be transfered elsewhere. On complaining to our tour operator we were then moved on to a real 4 star hotel and had a fab holiday.

Bungalows were clean and spacious there was a fridge, microwave and kettle but no cutlery or plates,so you couldnt do anything. Its was help yourself to drinks at pool bar the coffee was awful it was in a big tea urn.The snacks at the pool bar was burgers, hotdogs and chips which were always cold. The second week of are holidays the drinks machine had to be turned off due to contamination in the water. It was back on 2days later. In the restaurant it was help yourself to drinks and you be lucky to get a clean table as there wasnt many staff about. The food in restaurant was awful,a lot of people ate out.Only a 10minute walk to the main town. The pool was ok but not enough umbrellas and the ones they did have need renewing.DEFINITELY NOT A 4 STAR
