The main beach can be viewed from the pool side and there is direct acess to the shallow sea (not beach) via 6 steps from the poolside. There is also an inside SPA Thalassotherapy Pool insidewhich is available to guests FOC once during their stay and for E11.55 per person for additional usage. Basically this is a huge whirlpool and is lots of fun- even for a pensioner who can't swim. Beauty Treatments are available too.
The Hotel was immaculately clean, the service great. Although a few rooms are currently being painted it was not disruptive. The towels were changed daily, and pool towels available FOC with just a deposit. There are 56 hotel rooms and the prettest pool is exclusively for the hotel guests. there are apartments which have own pool and restaurants further around the harbour 5 mins away, but we did not use them.

Small Ferries from the town of Puerto Rico come into the harbour and are suitable for day trips rather than going over the mountains by bus. The ferry was not intrusive either.
The biggest market on the island is held around the harbour on a Friday morning so there are lots of coach and boat trips in to the resort on Fridays, but we were in and out before they all arrived. Definately haggle over prices, to be sure of getting what you want.
The best boat trip I have ever been on was aboard the BUSSARD a restored wooden ship, it only takes 12 people so it was like chartering the boat. On arrival tea in mugs and cakes or any drinks were available The delicious lunch was steak or chicken cooked to order and various salads, served with CHAMPAGNE or wine. The tours leave from the Harbour so are easy to access without time on buses. We snorkled and swam in small bay just magic. Nichole Joerg and Mario really looked after us. Call 0034 677086924 or buy tickets at the harbour to book. 65 Euros well spoent. We had also booked an airtours boat trip (booze cruise) but were pleased it was cancelled as it could never have compared to this wonderfull service.
Another must is the casino meal and dance spectacular show, which allows a little time in the Casino before return on bus, or you can stay on and make own return arrrangements. At 39.5 Euros it was a good value night out. We booked via tour rep but you can book direct for same price. The lead singer was David Park a lovely welsh lad who I spoke to on stairs not knowing who he was before the show.
For a synic like me to rate this resort so highly is testomony to how lovely and restfull we found it, however if you want loud party entertainment and drinking this is not the resort for you. Larger hotels up the valley have childrens entertainment etc.
It was refreshing to find somewhere so unspoiled and commercialised - definately recommend it and plan to visit again.
