El Cardonal Hotel

We had a family holiday which we booked through Go2spain and got a week here for 130 quid less the flights, this gave us a 1 bed apt but with a pull down bed in living area which was fine, sky tv with dvds being shown over their own vhf system, plus we had microwave, toaster, kettle, good fridge and cooker, all amenities were great, staff were helpful however not all can speak english, therefore a bit of hablar espanol does not go amiss. Just back from El Cardonal Apts. thought that they were fine but I think that the previous review may be a little over the top. Over all I enjoyed the stay but I thought that the rooms were very dark especially the bed room. The whole interior of place would benefit from a lick of paint and a bit of TLC. Another feature is that the safe deposit boxes are not in the bed rooms but at the front reception and require a seperate key for entry. A group of us had a break in a wet Gran Canaria in January (I kid you not!), but these apartments more than made up for it. They were clean, spacious and comfortable - each has a fridge, cooker rings and a good selection of crockery etc. There is a TV and a comfortable sitting area and each apartment has a mini patio with table and chairs.
