memorable holiday
from A TripAdvisor Member
Bungalows basic, a bit in the small side but clean. Only for getting your head down anyway. Joe, smashing fellow, works very hard. Very kind & considerate, an assett to Kiwi. Pool and bar areas okay, but how dare we talk about Germans and beach towels, we were just as bad. Shopping centres are good but shopkeepers can be a pest trying to drag you into their shops. Public toilets a disgrace having to pay, if you have a family it can work out a fortune. Weather was scortching for my full 2-week stay. All in all a good holiday.

Myself and two friends all in our early twenties stayed at the Kiwi's from the 12th July to the 19th and we had a ball. Our apartment was on the pool cant remember what number. The apartment was basic and very clean but thats all we were looking for as spent more time outside than in. Our sheets were changed twice and we were over run with clean towels so cant complain about that. The rep Danny was fantastic always there if you had a problem. Several night we got taxis to playa ingles and only cost 3 euros, which was a bargin. Dont be put off by people saying its very family, there was alot of families who were all nice and we spoke to many of them. hello if your reading!!! but there was also alot of young people just there for some sun and only once i was woken early hours by some noise. I would recommend the kiwi if you are just looking for some where to relax in the sun and if you dont want to stay in the hub of playa ingles. Joe was fab as well and his cheese toasties were great. Also plenty of sun beds!!

returned 6th september from a two week break everything about the holiday was brilliant we stopped at number 25 next to the pool. these apartments were basic but well maintained. cleaners came regularly to change towels and bed linen.the pool was a good size and very clean. one of the highlights of the holiday was the poolside bar manned by joe a lovely person always laughing and joking, the type of guy who makes your holiday happy and relaxed. yes he is football daft which was a good thing for the lads as he favoured football over soaps. faro 2 complex is on your doorstep which has lots of bars & restaurants also amusements and facilities for kids maspalomas beach, the dunes & playa de ingles are all about a half hour walk or a 3 euro taxi ride away well worth a visit. all in all a fantastic holiday and no doubt we will be back someday to this wonderful resort.

Was there at the end of august. Nice place apart from the spanish that turned up like cockroach at the end. They were very rude. The place is clean. Towels changed every other day. Joe is friendly if you buy his beer and food.

got back yesterday and will be bookin again soon it is the best holiday i have been on in ages and i would just like to say i stayed in no 37 where the dogs are and they did not bark hardly ever they only got slightly worse towards the end of the secondweek but it only lasts for bout 10 mins and you soon forget about it when you get to the pool and go out and about faro 2 in a 2 min walk from the kiwi the yumob cenre in a 2 min taxi ride away and is really cheap it only costs around 3 euros and i loved the yumbo centre sooo much we went nearly everynight but the only place we satyed all night was La Belle and the shows in there are fantastic the best ones are kitty litter, ella, and fransico hell that "girl" can move!!! well better go and book my holiday!
Loved the kiwi!

Went to the kiwi from 16th august to the 30th of august really good, joe was cool he put the iceing on the cake, but dont make him run around the heat gets to him, he is a football lover he is a great laugh, i really enjoyed my stay there and if any one was there during the time i was or would like info add me on msn jammad17@hotmail.com or e-mail me, (i have some photos i could send you) kiwi bunglaows are great nice and quiet but its a hard night trying to sleep very hot and beds where un comfy, faro 2 is a shopping center near and has 2 supermarkets a sports shop arcade and resturantes so no need to go far, if your planning on going to the beach the best thing to do is get a taxi they are very cheap as its a long walk to the beach we get the taxi to the kazbar and walk along the sea front to the faro light house and then get taxi back to faro 2,but as always in spain they are a few cockroach problems, it was very very hot about 40oC at 10:00pm about 110oF so drink alot of water, another thing is to watch out for the ticket touts trying to get you to go in there shop, as i said if you would like any more info please e-mail me or add me to msn at jammad17@hotmail.com thanks and i hope i will be back at the kiwi :)
Great Place

Have just returned from Kiwi after a very enjoyable Honeymoon. The first thing I would like to say is that this is very much a family place, although there was quite a few couples. The bungalow that we had was not run down at all. Yes the apartments are basic it is self catering afterall, however all the essentials are provided. The television is a pay as you go but stores your credit when you power off. Entertainment? Not needed, the area has lots with the further afield stuff about a 3 Euro taxi away, maybe less, the rest is all a walk. As for Joe, you could not meet a nicer, caring person. He was regularly there from around 9:30/10am until the small hours of the next morning, sometimes with only a 10 minute break. The bar afterall is owned and run by him so anything bought goes to him and not the complex. This despite him having a wife and kid of his own. Needless to say I am already preparing to go back next year, this time taking the kids, they would love it. I am only left wondering if myself and my wife were at the same complex as the previous review.

really disliked the kiwi, stayed for 14 nights a weekend would of been to long.not the only ones who felt it many others felt the same.the bungalows are very run down, sheets were changed once which i had to ask for after 8 days they got changed, towels were changed 4 times in 14 days, maids only clean when they feel like it.Bath and toilet was really stained. There is no entertainment on the night.Sercurity gates were left open someone tried to walk off with a guest case.13 and 14 year olds were getting served beer then carrying on till sometimes 4 in the morning.Everyone goes on about wounderful Joe is,he is only ok with you if you are buying his food and drink off him.Wouldnt go back for free.

just back from 2 brill weeks at the kiwi. It is the best hols we have had and the kids thought they were in heaven. The bungalows were very clean and maids were always bringing towels. They were basic. We had no 25 and we had a pool view which was even better. It is very quiet and friendly, secure too which is important. Everything such as shops were a little walking distance and anything else just a small taxi ride, which again was cheap. Joe was brill with the kids and was very friendly. Reception was very helpful too. Would recommend and would def go back (tomorrow if i could)
Brilliant family resort

Just arrived home from a fantastic 2 week stay at the Kiwi apartments. The weather was brilliant. It was a lovely family resort and the pool area was very clean and child friendly.Kids had a ball especially with Jo, he was great. nothing was too much bother for him.The apartments were basic but kept really clean with clean towels etc. Faro 2 shopping centre only a 2 minute walk away also fun fair and small water park bout 5 minute walk. Food was great with a wide choice of resteraunts close by and very cheap.Although the beach was quite far it was not a problem as the taxies are so cheap. Would definately go back to these apartments and would highly recommend them to any family.
We took our young child here and it was awful!! there was no facilities for children at all, the tiles outside the bungalow were to hot to walk on causing the baby's feet to burn when she didn't have shoes on, you try keeping shoes on when they're learning to walk. The... more
