Terrible...not good for families!!
1 / 10
Feb 2010, it_takes_alot_to_make_me_moan

We took our young child here and it was awful!! there was no facilities for children at all, the tiles outside the bungalow were to hot to walk on causing the baby's feet to burn when she didn't have shoes on, you try keeping shoes on when they're learning to walk. The pool was too cold to use before 5pm and even then caused baby's lips to go blue. This was for couples to sit and get drunk at, it was not good for families. Also the locals used and abused it at weekends, not good at all.

been 4 times now and we just love it there as it is so relaxing sitting by the pool in the lovely weather.the rooms are basic but there is everything you need for your stay there and the maids are always busy keeping the rooms spotless and are there most of the day if you need anything.with it being a small complex you get to know most people and they are very friendly.the chinese on bottom floor of faro 2 is best ever and also piz paz.market is also very good which is on twice a week.the sand dunes are very impressive but you do have to have an open mind as the nudists do stray on to other parts haha.going back in september cant wait.

This is a nice quiet little circle of bungalows around the pool, very close to the faro 2 centre(shops, restaurants etc)and holiday world too(funfair,10pin bowling etc)surrounded by fence with a locked gate so is secure, about a 15 min walk to playa del ingles(busy part ,more nightlife) and about half hour walk to the beach and sand dunes which are definately worth a look.we (2 adults and 8yr old child)had a lovely week here,it was mainly english and scots, everyone says hello to you and youve got your own sunbeds per bungalow and patio so no rushing out at 8 am! the bungalow is basic 2*is fair but ive stayed in worse 3* hotels! with bedroom,kitchen/liviving room with 2 sofa beds and bathroom also good size cupboards for storage and we only had one cockroach in our week(if you dont like em dont go to canaries as you WILL find them there!)it was nice if you want to be near everything but not in the centre of it all...ideal really. Rooms were kept clean and towels changed regularly,Joe at the bar is football mad and really helpfull as is the guy in reception,we wasn't charged for safe key or late check out at 5pm! how rare is that! Great value for money overall, ideal for a cheap week away ,would come back here again.

My partner and I stayed there for 1 week in Sept 07, last minute holiday so there was no set price for our holiday.

I am not sorry to say that I did not like where my partner and myself I stayed. We got into the Bungalows at 6 am in the morning.

We were tired when we got there just wanted to go to bed, but when I opened the door the first thing I said was I want a flight home tomorrow. Bungalow was nothing like it was described in the brochure, it was made to look as it was open plan (no way).
Now where do I start? Kettle full of lime scale, toaster was melted on the side, grout coming off the tiles in bathroom, black patch in the bath, if you wanted a bath, tough no taps. Shelves in fridge broken, wardrobe shelves broken. Bungalows had a 6/8 foot wire fence around it topped off with barbed wire. Cockroaches in the bathroom, my partner left the light on all night (my partner did not tell me about them until we came home otherwise I would have been on the next flight home). Paint coming off the walls.
In the onsite brochure it said it had a restaurant but all it was, was a greasy snack bar, all that was cooked there was fried food.

It would have been nice to have some tea, coffee, and maybe a small bottle of water in the room for people who get there in the early hours of the morning as there is nothing open at 6 am.

My partner and I will go back to Gran Canaria but NOT to Bungalow Kiwi. The day before we were due to leave the maid asked us if we were leaving her tip, ok I do not mind giving someone a tip but to be asked for it is another thing.
